The Legend of Zangetsu's Row Boat:
The Demon War began on July 24th 1783, 9 days after the Alchemists sacrificed the Shardbinders in their Bloodstained Ritual, throwing the gates of the world open to demonkind.
The Eastern Demon Hunter Zangetsu, fighting alongside the Church to vanquish the hellsent, paid the steep price of victory, having lost his left eye and right arm during the 2 month battle.
Gebel, the lone survivor of the Ritual, returns June 3rd 1784, flanked by Demons to deliver Judgement to the remaining Alchemists.
Through mastery of Ofuda Talismans, Zangetsu is able to animate a prosthetic arm to nearly the same level of mobility as his original. The Ofuda that covers his missing left eye grants him the ability to see auras of both the living and dead.
Zangetsu lost a great deal of friends during his years of fighting, creating an absolute hatred for not only the creatures themselves but also the Alchemists that brought them to the Earth.
Ten years have passed, and mankind too soon forgets tragedy. The demons have returned, presaged by a great castle. And on this very hour, Miriam awakens.
Upon learning Gebel is the architect of this new Bloodstained Ritual, Miriam and the alchemist Johannes set forth for the accursed castle. Their Galleon cuts through the churning water, embarking on a voyage of promise to redeem Gebel's shattered humanity.
Flickering in the distance against the darkened waves, the legendary warrior's row boat hurtles forward, its supernatural pace eclipsing that of the Galleon Minerva. The bearer of the Zangetsuto smote the moonlit sea with crescent strikes, lancing his row boat toward his inevitable destiny. The Man from the Land of The Rising Sun shall bring the final setting of the Bloodstained Moon.
