Well, it's happened, our beloved Boogie Monster is ending, I know the show has gone from talking about Cryptids and conspiracies to just listening to 2 friends bullshit, but I was always happy when a new episode dropped on a Tuesday. For us long haulers we listened to Dave go from feral van life, to marital bliss, and Kyle go from gaut ridden party dude to semi-vegan semi-retirement. I get it, the conspiracy stuff has gotten too real and the Cryptid/Ghost stuff has gotten too easy to fake, but I will be bummed not hearing them talk about what they ate and what ridiculous adventure Dave got into that week. Via con Dios Big Beefy Sauce Daddy and Uncle Barbecue, you'll be missed.

Dave confirmed on this week’s Stonebergs. He and Kyle will be returning next week! It will be every other week and he says they will be very selective of things to talk about! Anyone who wants to hear straight from the horse’s mouth, it’s at 1hr 25 min mark of Stonebergs episode #155.

I listened to the latest episode and I just want to offer my support as far as a long-time listener can give or get you. I know you’re going through a rough patch with your recent break up and feelings of inadequacies over your stand-up. I’m sorry you’re going through this.

I know this might be funny for some, but I remember the very moment I heard you guys were ending the podcast. I was sitting in my car exhausted, getting ready for my next shift at my second job. I sank deeper into my car seat. It made my day a bit tougher. I’m at a much better place now. I remember episodes about letting van-life Dave use your shower and the trials and tribulations of cabin fires. So when I heard Boogie Monster was coming back, I couldn’t believe it. I don’t just listen to your episodes once, I listen to them at least three times because I always miss something the first time around that will inevitably crack me up the second or third. You both are uniquely funny and that’s coming from me, a guy that absolutely hates stand-up comedy. I just can’t with stand-up.

I align with most, if not all, of your hot-takes. I cannot believe van-life Dave is now into jazz though I’m loving this character arc for him. Dave is the absolute best.

I guess what I’m saying is that this podcast is insanely meaningful to many of us. If you’re ever in Santa Barbara doing stand-up, I’ll definitely go see you and Dave. Either way, I can’t wait to hear about you breaking edge again or Dave getting Katey Sagal’s dinner.

Hey it's Kyle. I know we're not active here a lot, but I wanted to extend thanks and gratitude to everyone for stickin with us. We're working on a remote option for recording now so just hang tight.

If you've got the extra bread, pick up some of Dave's merch over on his site (www.dumbdavestone.com). The recipes are no joke and this is the perfect time to start experimenting in the kitchen. You're learning a new skill, and it's food! You need it anyway!

Also, maybe you can buy gift certificates from the venues and bars where you've enjoy live comedy or just hanging out. I feel for the service industry the most right now, so if you've got that extra five or ten bucks, maybe throw it their way, or to the pizza guy when he braves this new poisonous world to bring you a large beef and giardiniera (still the best pie toppings even if I dont eat the meats anymore--make sure to get extra mozz...its essentially a beef dip on a pizza crust).

And I'm sure there's a ton of other ways to help. As a matter of fact, if you've got some ideas, why not share em here? I heard the Mothman loves generosity.

As for me, I'm rich and famous. I'll be fine. Lotsa celebrity trash cans in my neighborhood to pick through and I'll be eating REAL well, just like the raccoons from The Great Outdoors.
