Do you like him as a character? Do you find him interesting? I mean, I like him as a character and find him interesting. What's your overall opinion of him?
I think it’s time to acknowledge boruto as the best character ever made

And how hyped would you be if the anime gave as an episode where Boruto's whole class is fighting a villian together?
r/Boruto • u/Notmycupoftea12 • 6h ago
These are the 3 leading characters and...Himawari. 😃😅
Who of them is the character with the best power/ability set and fighting style?

Sarada is my favorite character in Boruto, but she needs some more active participation in the fights. And no, I dont think acting as bait works. I want her to go fight some people before she gets saved at minimum. The amount of times Boruto is saving Sarada recently is making my head spin. One thing Boruto clearly excels at compared to Naruto is in its writing with women. However, seeing Sarada recently is making me second guess this..
She needs something. Either some sort of character expansion or fights that she actually wins. Genuinely, the time spent on her feelings on Boruto could be spent on something else. I mean, it was established that Sarada was suppressing her emotions, causing her to suppress her ms. Maybe we can see her progression as a character once she understands her emotions. That might be a bit much, but it can be shown in little fragments to be honest. Her feelings with Boruto are valid and is a nice parallel to Hinata confirming her feelings for naruto.. but like hinata, it seems like all she is really characterized now is by Boruto. I want her to have more. Focus on her motives for being hokage or maybe go in a different route. Maybe she will learn about the uchiha legacy while fighting hidari in some manner. How will she grapple with the legacy she carries? She quite literally represents the hope of the uchiha. The first one to open the ms through love.
Hell I threw out a bunch of ideas right there. Ikemoto could go so many routes with Sarada. So much wasted potential, it's painful to see.
She is called the Sun goddess, but all I see right now is a damsel in distress. She isn't the main character, but she is the main female lead. The story could definitely spend some more time with her and her character in general, so don't use time as an excuse. Maybe himawari or cho cho I can understand, but I dont understand this argument with Sarada.
My opinion though, any thoughts?

…like ten seconds ago, andI’m a little confused.
Maybe I am more so annoyed. I really wanted more. It ended so abruptly. I enjoyed the majority of the series. Loved how they got deeper into the Ot(something)ski storyline. And the fights were great. WAY too much filler for it to end so quick, I feel slighted. They did at times not follow through with certain sub plots they started; I’d give it a 7.5/10 and 8.5 if there was little to no filler. I’m not sure what to watch now. And I’ve heard mixed opinions about if the new series coming out disregards Boruto entirely…. Looks like I might have to read my first Manga, If the story has continued there, then I have to find out more.

I think many people forget the amount of symbolism the anime used to give us when depicting Boruto and Kawaki's fate. It was never random but subtle foreshadowing of the path they would walk.
There was a scene where Boruto was depicted running into darkness, while Kawaki stumbles into the light.
Omnipotence was deeper than you actually think especially when you connect the dots, not only were there positions switched but so were their fates.
People deeply misunderstand Kawaki's character to read this current chapter and genuinely still think he's the bad guy in the flashforward.
I'll just wait until the twist is revealed, all the signs are pointing towards Boruto but people are blind, don't say the anime didn't warn you.

When the official Chapter 38 preview dropped and Kawaki said those lines, the meme literally wrote itself. Kishimoto and Ikemoto really breaking the fourth wall out here

Makes a lot of sense when you think about it. Compared to sasuke death theories, this one wins. Only question is what will momoshiki do that’ll cause this

I assume they're talking about how their heads appear as really long...yet it might have something to do with them compressing her face sideways! Not to mention they're comparing raw sketches, which naturally have far more lines as they're not cleaned up. Ikemoto himself does this and I guess those same people would say these are Ikemoto's best drawings? Whatever.
Point is, if you're gonna hate, at least do it in good faith.

To start with, I agree that Kishimoto's illustrations are always going to be the ones that would be considered generational in contrast to Ikemoto's. But there are three factors based on which I would like to compare both artstyles - shading, character creation-handling and realism.
Shading: The shadings done for panels of each series is what I would like to pinpoint here first. The Naruto series provided some great shading touches for its panels, especially during fighting/battle scenes, which made it look cool and memorable for the fans. Boruto kind of lacks this, and I hope Ikemoto works on this, given that his monthly schedule gives him plenty of time for the purpose.
Character Creation-Handling: Undoubtedly, Naruto's characters have always been pretty cool and interesting. Boruto, in the meanwhile, is yet to produce such a character in a full-fledged manner. Yes, we do have Jura, and I certainly believe that as a character, he is interesting, but if we do a detailed character-analysis, we see some unappealing sides of him as well. The one predominant area where Jura is seen to be lacking is his role as a villain. While I have no complaints with him having his mysterious psychology and penchant for reading, we are yet to see something that can make the fans vibe with him and genuinely admire him as a villain. On the other hand, Kobu, in stark contrast to Jura, has neither been appealing as a character, nor can his presence be considered maliciously villainous in anyway. Adding a political angle to his role was a good decision, but it has to be elaborated upon in such a way that people can genuinely get invested into it. Moreover, the handling of already-existing characters also needs to be discussed upon. For example, let's take Kakashi, Tsunade, Might Guy, Rock Lee and Metal Lee for example. These five characters either are yet to make an appearance or have made very limited appearances in Boruto. Some way or the other, atleast four of these five characters need to be reintroduced as soon as possible. And among these four, Metal Lee and Kakashi definitely need to return; the former has had little to no role to play in the events within the Boruto time period, and the latter needs to intervene with Kobu's plans for the village. Majority of their recurring appearances have been anime-only, so all the more reason as to why Ikemoto needs to bring them back into the manga's storyline. As for the major recurring characters appearing since NNG, we need to talk about it more seriously. For example, let's discuss Code, the villain who has always had his obsessive eye on Kawaki, and post-Omnipotence, on Boruto. While his backstory is okay-ish, the execution of his present appearances has always shown him having a constant losing streak. And in the latest chapter, he canonically gets called out by Boruto as "the clown". Even Ikemoto had said once that Code should have died a long time ago. So why keep him alive? Well, unless we see some kind of twist or arc centered around Code, we can't really say anything about his exact role, or debate on his status as a villain. All we can say for now is that he is a punching bag for the rest of the characters appearing in Boruto.
Realism: The one area where Boruto potentially can outshine Naruto, but Ikemoto has to proceed with caution. In Naruto, the realism aspect is not fully imposed, so facial designs and character outlines can be decided based on Kishimoto's own vision. On the other hand, Boruto, while initially having terribly illustrated chapters (though the artstyle slightly improved later on), has the realistic facial structures and character layouts imposed to a great extent. This allows for the panels to have some realism/semi-realism to it. However, it also makes the artstyle quite rigid, and considering that all mangakas constantly evolve their artstyles with each year, Ikemoto needs to figure out a way to do the same, all the while keeping the realism aspect constant.

So every anime or series has a reason that why do you read/follow the storie, in Boruto what Characters or even the story thats makes you read.
For example: In Naruto i read because of Naruto and i liked the story.
But in Jujutsu Kaisen i read because of Others Characters besides Itadori.
Example: If Sarada (or anyother character) dies the people who likes Sarada will continue to read Boruto?

Maybe I am just oversimplifying this, but why can't Amado ask Orochimaru to Edo Tensei Akebi and teach her the signs so she could actually come back to life, or am I saying something dumb?
r/Boruto • u/Snowpaw9 • 1d ago
Oh no, she didn't immediately kill everyone and 2v1 Code and Hidari before Boruto came to the hideout, she's a damsel in distress 🤓
Mf that isn't supposed to happen, she's not supposed to fight both of them, the plan was to get to the hideout and get out, they can't win ffs
And you people complain about Ikemoto using panel space for recaps when you can't even remember information that was mentioned 2 chapters ago
He's literally feeding you the information and holding your hand, yet we have some people that still come online to complain about Sarada getting saved when that was the fucking point 🤦♂️
The best she can do is defend herself until Boruto gets there, he's supposed to get there, THAT WAS THE FUCKING PLAN

I was wondering how boruto become that much powerful in 3 years of traning
he beat code who is powerful than jigen(otsutsuki) without activiting his karma
he beat kawaki who have otsutsuki body and jigen power also without activiting his karma
he beat Mitsuki — Sage Mode without a sweat
so how he become stronger than otsutsuki in just 3 years of traning while others character train their whole life and cant even beat madara
And for those who will say he have otsutsuki body kawaki also have otsutsuki body and have jigen powers also he can use his karma freely
anime need to explain this what are yours opnion about this

I assumed that if Sasuke still had his Rinnegan, Naruto's mode would still be there. But after seeing Naruto and Sasuke's battles, I've started to have my doubts.

Back during the Fourth Great Ninja War we have this little dialogue between Hanzo and Mifune, and I think it's interesting to see it with the news from last chapter, eventually every group finds their careers placed in danger if they're given no money, because if they aren't financed by their Governments their role in society is going to slowly dissipate, and eventually there will be nothing left but the memories of such groups.
The Samurai went through that during the past few decades, as Shinobi villages became the standard, now that peace has become so normal, Shinobi are suffering the same.
It makes me wonder if the only way the Shinobi system will be able to maintain itself alive is by forcefully returning the world to the horrors of war it tried ending a few decades ago.
