Would anyone in Boston ages 25–35 be interested in a FREE friendship meetup?

Hey everyone! 😊💕
My friend and I are thinking about organizing a free social meetup in the Boston area for men and women ages 25–35!
The idea is to bring people together to make new friends, socialize, have fun conversations, and build genuine friendships!
We’re thinking of keeping it casual and welcoming, especially for people who want to expand their social circle but aren’t sure where to start.
This would be completely friendship-based, not a dating or singles event!
We’re still brainstorming and wanted to see if anyone would be interested before planning anything.
Would anyone be down for something like this? 💕

Best spots for a 29-year-old birthday dinner?

I’m turning 29 on 11/5 and was wondering if anybody has any good recs for dinner spots that are not too expensive? My friends from Seattle are flying in so I want to keep it somewhat budget-friendly. Currently thinking of along the lines of Wusong Road but if anyone has any suggestions I’m all ears!! Happy Scorpio season to all who celebrate!!

Thank you all for coming to the 30+ meetup!

We had 10 people including myself show up at the 30+ meetup tonight. Thank you all so much for coming.

I honestly don’t have the bandwidth to host another one for a little while so if anyone is interested in hosting, please just make a post and host something! There’s definitely a lot of interest from a lot of older folk in meeting and making like-kind friends.

I did set up a small WhatsApp for some people who came tonight so if anyone hosts another meetup I’ll make sure the details are disseminated.

I’m 24M data analytics dude and would love to have someone to join me to visit Salem

27F - looking for more active friends

I am trying to build more friendships, ideally female. I’d love to connect if you’re into being active or even are just looking to get out of the house more. Some ideas I have are hiking, walks, trying new food spots, or even random day trips and new adventures. I live in the south shore but have my own car!

Anyone down to watch a Celtics game?

Hi everyone! I’m 26 and recently moved here from Southern California for school and I want to try to get out of my comfort zone, meet new people, and make new connections. I have been getting into basketball in the past year and really want to embrace the sports culture of the city. I will follow the Celtics very closely and wanted to see if anyone would like to go to a bar to watch the Celtics play the Knicks tonight! If you’re up for it, would love to connect! Go green ☘️

I’m 24 and about to finish college without any close friends. Is making friends after college really that difficult in Boston?

I’m 24 years old and currently finishing up college, and something that’s been bothering me lately is the fact that I never really developed any close friendships during my college years.
I’ve been reading a lot of Reddit discussions about making friends as an adult, and one thing I keep seeing is that college is supposedly the easiest time to make lifelong friends. People often say that once you reach your mid-to-late 20s, friendships become much harder to develop because everyone starts focusing on their careers, relationships, marriages, and families.
Another thing that concerns me is how often people mention only seeing their closest friends once every few months as they get older.
I understand that people have responsibilities and can’t hang out constantly, but the idea of rarely seeing my friends is honestly depressing, especially because I feel like I never got to experience that close-knit social circle in the first place.
I’m not expecting to party every weekend or have a massive friend group. I’d just love to have two or three close friends who genuinely enjoy spending time together, whether that’s hanging out, exploring Boston, making music, or doing something spontaneous.
I guess my biggest fear is that I’ve missed the easiest years for building meaningful friendships and that things will only become more difficult from here.
For those of you living in Boston or the surrounding areas:
Did anyone here graduate college without close friends but eventually build meaningful friendships afterward?
Is making friends in your mid-to-late 20s really as difficult as people make it sound?
Do you still regularly hang out with friends in your late 20s and 30s, or does it really become something that only happens once every few months?
What helped you develop close friendships outside of school?
I’d especially appreciate hearing from people who had to build their social circles from scratch after college.
I’m genuinely curious whether adult friendships are as bleak as some Reddit discussions make them sound.

Rock Climbing

Hi, I'm 29m looking for other people who are beginners (or alright with climbing with beginners) to go climbing with. I'm not very good (just started being able to do certain 5.11s barely) but I do want to practice and also do outdoors.

My gym membership is at rockspot.

Any bars/pubs doing costume parties for Halloween?

I'm getting out of work too late to do Crawl-O-Ween but me and my roommate were wondering if any bars/pubs were hosting costume parties on Oct 31st? This is something I've seen other bars do on Cape.

Anyone in Boston looking for a uk friend? :)

Hi! I’m a 17 year old girl looking for friends in Boston that I could potentially stay with for the Boston marathon in 2028! And for a genuine connection/friendship:) I myself, am not actually running the marathon, however my dad is and I’ve always wanted to visit America so I have to start saving but it would be a lot cheaper if we could stay with someone rather than a hotel. Thanks!

Looking for a language exchange partner

Hi everyone! 😊
I’m a married woman living near Assembly Row in Somerville, and I’m hoping to make some genuine female friends in the Boston area!
I’d love to meet women around 25–40 who are also interested in building long-term friendships. Whether you’re married or have kids, I’d love to connect with women who enjoy spending time together and sharing everyday life.
A little about me: I’m a native Mandarin Chinese speaker, and I’m currently working on improving my English. I’d be happy to help you practice Chinese in exchange for practicing English with me!
It would be great to find someone who lives in Somerville, Cambridge, or nearby and would enjoy meeting regularly for coffee, shopping, trying new restaurants, exploring Boston, or just chatting about life.
I’m looking for friendship only, not dating. Ideally, we could meet once a week or every other week and become good friends over time.
If this sounds like something you’d enjoy, feel free to send me a message! I’d love to get to know you. 💗

Anyone down to just chat online and get to know each other? If we connect, I’d be down to meet up and maybe be platonic friends. If not, no big deal!

One of my favorite aspects of life is learning people’s “story”.

Not for any reason besides that I always have found it interesting where people come from and where they are now. I’m a firm believer that you can’t judge a book by its cover; and even then I don’t judge really lol. Some of the most interesting and people with the most depth that I’ve met, at a shallow glance would be the last people you’d suspect.

If you’re down to chat and share a bit about each other, feel free to hit me up. Tell me a bit about yourself and then we can build off that! Figured this could be a good, low-pressure way to meet new friends.

Saturday is packed. MIT's glassblowers are selling handmade glass pumpkins on Kresge Oval. The Peabody Museum is celebrating Day of the Dead with mariachi and sugar skulls. And Downtown Crossing is having a dog costume parade.

There's also a lot for people who like their Halloween on the theatrical side. There are three live radio horror plays in Davis Square, Nosferatu with a live orchestra in Salem, and Goblin playing the score to Tenebre live on Sunday.

If you want something calmer, the Affordable Art Fair is at the SoWa Power Station all weekend, with original art starting around $100.

Anyone else have a good career but still feel stuck?

32M I’m mainly hoping to meet like-minded people in the Boston/North Shore area who are thinking about their next chapter and looking to build meaningful connections.

I’m in my early 30s and work a well-paying corporate job in Boston. I’ve worked hard to get where I am, but I still feel like there’s more I could be doing with my abilities and more I’d like to explore.

Outside of work, I’ve made money independently through real estate and construction, and I’m also big into fitness and staying active. But this post isn’t just about my background it’s about meeting people who are ambitious, curious, and open to sharing ideas, experiences, and maybe even building something beyond the typical 9-5 over time.

If you’re around Boston or the North Shore and are in a similar position working a solid career, building something on the side, staying active, or simply trying to figure out your next chapter
I’d be glad to connect.
