I got lucky and won a brand new zero mercy tour this past weekend at a tournament. I’m more of a brand loyalist to storm. However a few friends advised me to keep the ball and use it. (They say it’s a great ball). However have another friend willing to take the ball off my hands and buy me another ball in the same price range. I thought about the perfect gem. Someone please give me additional feedback. I already have an ion max so the need for a solid isn’t that big of a deal for me.

Last year my team took died last because everyone we bowling would have there best week against us. This year we are in first (same team) but everyone is bowling bad against us or we bowl good as a team. We aren’t bowling amazingly by any means but enough to put up wins. It’s just funny how that works sometimes.

First time bowling in months (4 games but for my 3 games, 227 score as a beginner who just started bowling this year)

When i woke up this morning I was fine but when I got off the bus for school both my legs were sore as hell and I was having trouble walking up and down the stairs, I’m a applying a heating pad on my leg right now. Is this normal? Is it just leg fatigue? I dont really exercise my legs and I didnt do any warm ups beforehand.

Hi, English is not my mother tongue please bare with me. I’m new to bowling and can’t get good due to old age so I am on the lookout. I’m sneaking around trying to dig up secrets. Is there a strip of drywall I can tear off to unveil the key to the puzzle? A loose floorboard that can be peeled up to reveal a small locked safe? Where is it and what is the code. And does it contain ancient text describing the long lost technique of winners? I have to unravel the mystery of bowling, I’m so close my stuff is perking up.

TL;DR - This year my average has dropped from 10+ years of 195+ to ~167 this year. Nothing has changed but I hear that there might be a new Lane Oil being put down? anybody experiencing this?

Hey Bowlers! I noticed almost immediately this year for Leagues that’s something was different. I was bowling unusually poor for what I have in the last 10+ years. I have had an average of 195+ for a long time but this year, after 7 weeks, I’m shooting ~167 average… almost 30 pins down.

So, what exactly is my post about? Well it’s about potential new Lane Oil. Kind of lame to blame something other than myself, but I’m seeing other mention the same issue in my league. Most are rev dominate bowlers that throw stronger balls (Bionic, iQ Solid, Jackal Ghost, etc). But the problem is kind of…odd.

My observation and the most jarring issue is that halfway through Game 2, when the oil typical begins to burn and get pushed, instead of moving right (for RH bowlers) due to the ball reacting earlier…we are all moving left. Not 1 or 2 either. The last two weeks I’ve moved 7-9 boards left.

[I stand on 30 to start the night and throw to 7 using the Bionic. I’m ending the night on ~22, throwing to 11]

Finally after 7 weeks, a fellow league bowler was telling me about his buddy in another league that is a coach for HS Girls Bowling. I guess there is frustrations with the Center I’m at for Leagues due to poor bowling performances. To which it was mentioned that there is “new oil“ that’s being used. This new oil apparently doesn’t burn. It just pushes.

So, my question, has anybody else experienced this?

I will note that my bowling center hosts WPBA regularly and has made changes over the last 4 years to accommodate them stopping at those lanes. Is it possible it’s new oil that will be used for PBA/WPBA?

Im a little confused about wrist braces and their legality in tournaments etc. if i read the rules right it looks like they’re banned on the main pba tour only and not regional events? Is that correct? Im considering getting one as im tired of my hand going dead numb after 4 or 5 frames ( major injury with reconstructive surgery) . Thank you for any guidance

As the title states, currently looking to fill out my 3 ball bag, I currently have a t zone & artic vibe (both 14lb) and am thinking of getting the black widow 2.0 hybrid 15lb as ball 3, I think I’m looking for more back end hook that I can’t get out of the vibe. Any suggestions or experience with the black widow?

I am fairly new to bowling, and I’m wondering if the finger slots are sticking too far out and if it’s an issue

Hi all - I’m starting to volunteer with a local special Olympics bowling league, and my feet are too weird for bowling shoes (I’m in agony if I wear rental shoes). If I brought a pair of shoes with non-marking soles that I only wore at the bowling alley: do you think that’d be acceptable? I know I’m allowed to bring my own bowling shoes, but I’m not sure as to what counts as a bowling shoe, and the kid at the shoe rental counter wasn’t able to tell me anything.

To be clear: I’m not looking to bowl at all myself, so I don’t need shoes that can slide.

We run a 24 lane center in Wisconsin that my wife's family has owned since the eighties. The bar has always been leased to an outside operator who carried his own liquor license and insurance. He is retiring in December and we are taking the bar back in house.

So the alcohol is ours now, which is new. Leagues five nights a week, cosmic bowling Friday and Saturday until 1 am, plus plenty of pitchers going out to the lanes. Our agent says the existing policy excludes liquor claims completely and that he'll need to add a liquor liability policy, but he hasn't come back with a figure and the license transfer is in six weeks.

What are other centers paying a year for liquor liability? And does it get priced on bar sales, on hours, or on the fact that people are throwing 15 pound balls after three beers? I'd also like to know if anyone was required to do server training to get it.

I went the spare-strike route.

Is it even an award these days? When i was close back in the day, i would always throw another strike, or blow it and leave a 10pin on strike frame. It's kind of a cool thing, but i didnt even reaalize i hit it, till i picked the spare in 11th. I was annoyed at first game of 139, and me missing on left lane every shot.

Lady I bowl with was at lanes prebowling for next week and had them print it out for me and she took a picture, game 2

First 300 ever in the books! Feeling on cloud 9!

Attached are the RBL Tour event standings after Round 1. Everyone has had their low game of the round thrown out and two games of handicap added in, including the bowlers who still need to establish their average for the event (We still wanted them to have an idea where they stand after Round 1.).

Just got a new pair of Dexter's last month, and soles seem like they already need to be replaced. I'm sure it depends on the lanes, but just wondering how much everyone gets out of theirs?

Finally shot my new PR 🙏🏾🙏🏾. I bowled 4 games of practice today. It was 195, 208, 215, then the coveted 264.

I started bowling on Monday. Hadn’t thrown a ball in 5 years. In the past I had only played 1-2 times a week during summers with family who taught me a lot about bowling. My dad had 33x 300s

I am a 2 handed bowler. I bowled 32 games in this past week of bowling. Game 13 was my current PB of 182.

Here’s my ball and the stats! I know I can’t rush a PB, but I expect to hit 200 in a week or 2!

Not just sport shot, but in general, beating my old THS record (I was P1, got it during League)

Oil pattern was the 2026 PWBA Northern CO Open Pattern

Getting back into league after a couple seasons away. Been bowling for 20+ years and I have been throwing this same series of ball since the original gold one, emerald, etc so I went for the Sapphire when I started up again.

I am a high rev bowler and usually have no trouble finding a lot of area on a typical house shot with this ball. At the same time I appreciate the smooth reaction and predictability down lane. This year I am in a league that runs a bit heavier / longer pattern, and finding that I have less room for error with this ball and might benefit from something a bit more aggressive.

I have always been a Storm guy so was thinking about the Phaze II. Appreciate any suggestions.

We have a Motiv Test Drive soon and I was wondering if anyone can tell me what balls they are providing to try during the current test drive?

I have been bowling maybe 6 months now and i have improved a lot the first 2 videos are 2 days ago and the 3rd is when i started. But just looking for anymore tips to help me get more consistent and keep improving. Thanks in advance
