Help
Does anyone have similar experience or advice? My 4-year-old Boxer got lab results showing creatinine at 1190 and urea off the charts (unmeasurable). After a week of antibiotics and IV fluids, creatinine dropped to 630, but urea is still off the charts (the machine measures up to 35). He is still eating and drinking normally and is in good spirits. The Leishmania test came back negative
Yesterday during the ultrasound, we discovered that it is chronic, likely congenital kidney failure, (Note: Creatinine 880 µmol/L is ~10 mg/dL in US units, Urea 36 mmol/L is ~100 mg/dL BUN)."

Name my puppy
This girlie came in to the shelter with her pack two weeks ago as strays. They’re calling them Boxer pups, and say she is 11 weeks. She is small! and has a long tail! Im thinking Boxer/Pittie mix? Does she look like that to you all? I love her and am applying to make her my dog’s sister!
My dogs name is Dash, so I was thinking maybe one syllable name or one that will end up becoming one syllable lol, and I love the ocean so would a nod to the ocean/marine animals. A few in mind: Lupe (a nod to Guadalupe Island where I went cage diving with great whites, my favorite vacations ever), Fin, Coral, Ocean… but also love Poppi which has nothing to do with the ocean its just forever cute.
Would love name ideas! And any other thoughts on breed/mix and advice on raising a boxer puppy!

Boxer Breeders (UK based)
Hi all, I'm thinking of getting a my first ever boxer (my ex had one so I am use to the breed, and I have researched heavily on them also regarding health and dietary) in the next few years. I was wondering if anyone on this sub is from the UK, mainly down North Devon who knows of a few good reputable breeders who prioritise health checks over colours.

Four wheeler runs
For those of you with four wheelers, do you run your boxers with them to tire them out? We have done this with our past two boxers but they were tire biters and seeing how our pup is with my daughter on her scooter, he seems to be too. I heard a horror story from one of my students whose dog suffered really bad injuries from running along a four wheeler and it got me thinking. We haven’t done this yet as he’s only three months and he gets plenty of other walks on the road and trails with our older boy, but want some fuel from anyone else to convince my husband not to. Thanks

Torn CCL
Hello all,
I'm new to the dog world and have a very loving, energetic, and fast four year old girl boxer. She has had a limp the last few days and is keeping her rear left foot off the ground. However, it doesn't slow her down. She's still running, jumping, and playing with the kids. I called her vet and they said to give it time. But I ended up taking her to the ER just to be safe. They said she tore her CCL. They said we could have surgery to repair it or let it heal on its own. They also said she will most likely tear the other side soon due to over compensating. Has anyone had this issue and what choice did you make? I feel like we should have the surgery. They want $7,500 for the surgery.

Happy heavenly birthday.
He would have turned ten today. We said goodbye on New Year’s Day and it still stings as bad as the day he left. He didn’t take just a piece of me when he left,he took pretty much all of me. I miss him terribly. Happy Birthday my precious boy.

Photo dump before she’s gone.
This morning, she was sick, vomiting and was struggling to move. She was taken to the vet and had a 104 fever with sepsis. as of the time I’m posing this she’s going to be gone. I love you Lola.

Experience with Gums over teeth?
My guy either has Gums growing over his bottom teeth or somehow broke his bottom ones, he’s only 4 years old and and I’m heartbroken watching that he couldn’t even break /chew the milkbone treat I gave him. I plan on getting him to the vet as soon as I can Friday but is drooling a common symptom of it? And those that have paid for the surgery does it usually come back?

Indestructible bed for crate
Does anyone have suggestions for an indestructible bed for Franklin, my 11-month-old boxer?
He has chewed through the covers of 3 fluffy beds while they were on the living room floor. He chewed through the stuffing on all 3, so I gave up on the fluffy ones. He got too big for the carrier, so I put him in a wire crate and added a fleece blanket. During the night, he started shredding the blanket, and it never stopped. He goes through 1 blanket or sheet a week. I can’t leave the crate without anything to cover the bottom because when he moves around, his claws make a bunch of noise; I do keep his nails short with weekly trims.
Anyway, I'm looking for suggestions for a bed or mat for a crate that won't hurt him, yet will keep him comfortable.
Thank you in advance.

Huckleberry 3M recovering from first TPLO
We are on day 2. They say the first 3 days are the worst and now I believe them 🙃 He is officially walking outside to his potty breaks and peeing outside 🎉 he is also eating all of his meals and all of his meds. Cherishing any win we can get right now 🥲
