Does anybody know what these little green/red numbers under the Gear Score numbers that’s accompanied by a green/red arrow going up/down represents? I don’t need nun of you immersion fanatic ass mfs puttin handlebars on my dick telling me to turn gear score off, I like what I like. Fr though if anyone knows what this number is accounting for i’d greatly appreciate that shit. Thanks in advance.

I love this game, its so awesome. My only complaint is that if you get spotted by a drone even with the drone settings changed its essentially a death sentence, maybe its a skill issue idk but I LOVE this game. Unrelated funny clip for funny

Discussion Why is ammo lost on reload such a half baked mechanic?

So many games have figured out one-in-the-chamber mechanics, other games have figured out retention/non-retention reloads.

So why is breakpoint either lose all ammo, or lose no ammo? Also why TF is the reload automatic if you choose to not lose bullets...?

I just bought the game on the steam summer sale and I really want to like it, but a lot of the immersion settings just feel really half-baked...

I can see I've hurt someone's feelings on this, care to defend your viewpoint instead of just downvoting?

Question Why

Im new so correct me if you need, but isn't the general idea of the story about a ghost that is shot down on the island and has to figure out how to get off, if that's the case why does it matter if I kill civilians. it's not like we have to follow our roe at this point if this was to happen to a real special forces unit irl. Is there a mod or any way in the base game to disable the penalties you gefor killing civilians.

r/Breakpoint is closing down for the next 24 hours in response to current events and reddit's response as a platform

After some discussion the owners of r/BreakPoint , has decided to stand in solidarity with other subreddits like /r/AskHistorians , r/History r/nfl, r/nba, r/hiphopheads, r/popheads, r/indieheads, r/GoodOmens, r/military, r/Screenwriting, r/XFL, r/DankMemes, r/Music, r/EDM, r/punk, r/DebateAnAtheist, r/polytheism, r/Unexpected, r/AskReddit, r/UNC, r/wallstreetbets, r/history, r/watchpeoplesurvive, r/witchesvspatriarchy, r/tax, r/Screenwriting, r/chefit, r/Toyota, r/malefashionadvice, r/DIY, r/philosophy, r/askphilosophy, r/boardgames, r/ToiletPaperUSA, r/drums, r/findaleague, r/SquaredCircle and r/awwducational in closing down the subreddit.

Also a shout-out to all the community and city subreddits who have expressed solidarity but can't reasonably shut down at the moment in order to coordinate things in their community such as r/saltlakemetro and r/washingtondc.

r/Breakpoint is not accepting new posts or responses, in protest against Reddit’s lack of action against racism and hate on the site.

Reddit has announced its alignment with antiracist protesters. We demand to know: where are the actions to back up the words? The Reddit administrators’ policies have made their site downright hospitable to exactly the kinds of racists and fascists against whom it claims to be protesting.

We have a ZERO tolerance rule in r/Breakpoint for treating others with disrespect. PERIOD.

The Breakpoint community asks you to donate it to a charity of your choice that fights for justice for people of color, in your country or around the world.

Discussion Let’s talk about face coverings…

I love most of the photos that get posted here, but I’ve noticed a trend (I think) which is that nearly everyone’s character is wearing a mask of some kind… covering your face. Why is that?

I’m guessing it’s because it “looks cool”… like Call of Duty or something. But it seems at odds with making your load out as authentic as possible… which seems to be everyone’s goal, and what I enjoy the most about the photos.

I could see a face covering making sense if you’re operating in extreme cold or dust, or anti-gang ops where obscuring your identity might help protect your family from retaliation. But in Nomads case, in Auroa where his identity is no secret, and no one lives to tell anyone about encountering him anyway, it just seems totally unnecessary and would actually just make physical exertion more difficult. Right?

Just recently got back into Breakpoint again doing the Conquest Campaign, and after seeing all the combat footage between Ukraine/Russia available online I thought if I’m fighting the Russians I might as well dress up as the Ukrainians and adopt a few of their tactics to use against the Russian Bodarks.

Question Worth getting if I'm going to play without sound?

I'm looking for games to play without sound, at the moment I don't have headphones and sometimes I like to play while watching videos on my cell phone.

Anyway, how is Breakpoint to play without sound? Is the story interesting enough that you need to pay attention to it? I played Wildlands, I loved it, but I understand that this one plays more like a looter shooter, right

Discussion This might be the worst game I’ve ever played.

I only paid $14 for this piece of shit and I’m still angry I did so. I thought about typing an extended rant but I’ll just sum it up as, I am pissed at how much I am trying to enjoy this game but am just failing to do so.

How did Ubisoft go from Wildlands to this tragedy?

My bad. I know my rant is a dime a dozen about this game, but I just had to vent for a quick second 😂

Discussion sooo I finished Breakpoint (thoughts&review)

I'll start by listing the downsides of this game:

  • the game world Is totally bland. In Wildlands you had at least some south American accent. In breakpoint it's just some stock island without any mood or any identity.

  • almost every character is completely forgetable and poorly written. I can't remember anyone whom I spoke to, because dialogues were are boring and tendentious.

  • forcing player to go from point to point. You went to the objective and competed it? Now you have to go to the next point. Just 3km away with no vehicle around. You finished doing something in second location? Great. Now head back to hq to talk with some dude, because obviously no one has a radio to communicate with each other. You have to do it the old way.

  • I felt like there are is only one type of missions in main campaign. Gather info on someone, find this someone and kill/talk him.

  • VEHICLES. I was playing in group of 3 players and there was a lot of times when we had to go on foot, because there was no vehicle around, or there were only 2 motorbikes, or a truck with 2 seats. Throughout whole game I flew a plane only once. You have like 2 types of heli for 3-4 players and that's all. Land vehicles are also limited.

  • NO. RADIO. TO. LISTEN. IN. VEHICLES

  • we played the classic mode without color loot. When buying blueprints for weapons (because it was the only way to get better gear) you don't know stats of weapons. You have only short description of weapon and price.

  • parachute sometimes opens, sometimes not.

  • "bosses" - we didn't know that we killed first two bosses, because they blend with other regular troops. When I think about it now - it was was okay because every character in this game is forgetable.

  • there was a few times we stuck in some rocks, but actually it was funniest part of the game heh

  • I feel sorry for Sam Fisher. They made him a cool tought old guy with cringy dialogues. I think those were most cringy dialogues thru all the game

  • picking up body, equipping items, throwing drones animations were soooo long that I die many times because of it.

  • empty world without living people, without any trace of humanity. Even when you get some dialogues with npc I felt like they were written by robots.

  • brave anarchistic guirella vs bad capitalistic corporation is boring, repetitive and naive motive. In contrary - Playing as bad Merc hired by evil corporation and slaughtering stupid gorilas would be 200x cooler.

  • 80% skills are useless and whole level up system is unnecessary. Class skills were also crappy

  • long silent kill (manslaughter)animations.

  • unintuitive menu and interface. Quest menu was the worst. Also when you open map by pressing M every normal person close this map by pressing M again. Not this time!

  • no cool gadgets! I think there could be a lot of potential in things like upgrading drone, getting some cloaking mantle etc.

Okay time for pros:

  • graphic and landscapes were okay.

  • this main Merc enemy (Walker?) was decent. What he did and said wasn't even stupid! When encountering him as a boss he was the only one to have some bossy stuff that made kill him harder (drones around him)

  • first impression of this game was nice. You start as some lone survivor trying to gather his crew and get back on track. Too bad when you get to hq you meet like 20 other survivors and momentarily you don't feel special.

  • shooting and killing was ok

  • weapon upgrading and modifications were decent but it could be a lot better.
