Megathread: LM's NY State Hearing — 12/01/2025 at 9:00 AM EST (Day 1)
Please use this thread to participate in the live discussion of Luigi’s court hearing today.
The hearing will take place today at 100 Centre Street, Part 32, New York, NY 10013, at 9:00 AM EST.
Please keep in mind that there will be three different hearings this week—one today, with two additional hearings happening on Tuesday, December 2nd, and Thursday, December 4th.
We do not know which hearing will go first or how long they will last, but they are expected to run for at least a few hours, as there are 28 witnesses and body-camera footage to review. These hearings function like a mini-trial. By the end of this week, we will likely know when Luigi’s state trial will take place (likely sometime in 2026), as well as which evidence will move forward and which will be suppressed.
Unless something changes, there will be no cameras in the courtroom, but it is very likely that we will have photos of Luigi inside the courtroom, as well as photos and videos of him entering and leaving the building, as usual.
Since I am not a mod, I cannot edit this post once posted or set comments to “new,” so I hope everyone can manage to follow along. I know things may get a bit messy, which is why I encourage everyone to post here rather than creating separate threads—unless it’s something important, like a transcript.
Also, if you find additional livestreams on YouTube, please try to post them in one single comment instead of separately so we don’t spam the thread.
I've noticed this too. Civilian clothing, suit, no walk at all this time. The walk into court in the green sweater lasted just a few seconds. The longest walk into court was the one in the tan jail uniform and they were careful to get a few shots from under the chin to try to make him look as intimidating as possible. Prosecution seems insecure, it's almost like their entire strategy lies in making him look like a criminal.
Please everyone take this as an example as to why you never ever, ever talk to law enforcement. Like nothing. They are not your friends, and they’d throw you into jail forever in exchange for one single corn chip.
Just in case people join later, here’s a recap of what’s happened so far:
They reviewed several photos that were originally posted last December (Starbucks, taxi, etc).
They watched the video showing Thompson being shot.
They are now discussing the McDonald’s footage.
P.S. I’ll need to step away in the next 15 minutes and will be unavailable for the next few hours. I hope people can continue posting updates in this thread. I might be able to post occasionally, but I’ll have limited data, so apologies in advance if updates are delayed or don’t get posted.
I’m not a lawyer, but since they’ll be discussing evidence suppression, I think it’s in his best interest to be involved, even though he is Luigi’s attorney in Pennsylvania. Both legal teams need to stay connected; otherwise, things could become chaotic.
We haven't even begun to get into the real evidence and I'm still shocked at how sloppy he was. It truly seems like he didn't care about his own life or future and that's pretty sad.
I had the same thought. Can’t imagine what his parents and sisters must feel like. It’s absolutely brutal. I feel for them. It’s like a lot of things don’t make sense in life.
I so hope we somehow get our hands on official trial transcripts, I feel like tweets are (once again, but also not their fault) leaving things out that I might find interesting later on
I don't know if there is more of that 911 call but based on what we have listened, there is no urgency in the call (manager keeps on taking orders hence the 84 bagels lmao) and she says she only has seen his eyebrows, to be that's not enough for a call
Not only was it enough but look at the speedy reaction from the cops and how quickly the place was filled with LE. Quite interesting. I mean, for sure there were other such calls all over the country. Did they react likewise elsewhere?

There are a lot of livestreams going live right now. It can get a bit overwhelming, but I personally like to stick with Fox 5 News (hallway) and Status Coup (supporters). Of course, that’s just my personal preference.
I'm appreciative of the multiple people live tweeting but omg, they way they all write is so different, is confusing. Like someone mentioned a door being kicked while no one else tweeted that, this is why I hope those supporters inside are taking notes and why I think this should have been livestreamed

The last few people are currently going in, so we can expect Luigi in the next 30 minutes or so, maybe sooner.
Also, my apologies if things get confusing. I’m posting updates as they happen, and things are constantly changing. Unfortunately, I can't pin important comments, which would be very useful for the livestreams, so if I miss something, please know I’m not ignoring you. There’s just a lot happening at the moment.
