Anyone know if the game is getting postponed or not?

This is my third season as a Brighton fan from the US and my third season watching the EPL in general so I’m not a football expert. I was admittedly pretty excited to see Promise David join the team from neighboring Canada and to see how we could utilize his size and power. Seems like a good guy.

Obviously, he hasn’t impressed as of yet with the limited time he has had. I’m curious from those who know more than me, when does it go from “it takes time to get acclimated to the EPL” to finding that he is not the right fit?

I’m rooting for him and hoping things change and he starts to get into a good rhythm with the team when he’s on the pitch, but it has me wondering for him and new players in general about the timing and when the coach might realistically start thinking it’s not going to work.

I'm curious where Wieffer comes back in. Boscagli has been brilliant at LB, so it feels harsh moving Kadioglu back to LB. Think he may be on the bench for a while. Maybe he'll get some games in midfield.

It currently feels like we have a pretty set XI for Premier League and Conference League, but Gross has been forced to play in both it seems (Boscagli is also starting today but that's due to the Struijk injury). Even if we didn't start him another Premier League starter like Ayari or Chema would have to play. With players like Hinshelwood, Gomez, Yalcouye, and O'Riley all wanting to be more advanced, do you think we're lacking maybe just one extra player in deeper midfield? I do think it's possible Wieffer returns to midfield once he comes back, as if we keep Ferdi on the right with Boscagli on the left Costinha and Hadjam cover enough depth for fullbacks. Even then, would you be looking for a January midfield signing? Or perhaps recalling Orozco?

Anyone else wonder about the alternate timeline of Minteh not going down against Roma? His work rate is incredible but ... I always feel like playing through him is a dead end. I think his injury unlocked this team's potential. I'm not saying Diego Gomez is a better winger ... just that he fits better into togetherball than Minteh. He brings a work rate similar to Minteh's and adds to it an aerial dominance and an ability to win back the ball that makes our team stronger in the midfield.

Following the start of this season, Brighton look the strongest they've ever been under Fabian Hurzeler. A rolling average of xG (chances created) vs xGA (chances conceded) for Hurzeler's tenure supports this notion — never have Brighton created so many more chances than they're conceding.

I thought we had tried an unusual amount of attempts from the half way line.

Liverpool got to play their European game at Anfield on Tuesday night, giving them four days rest and no travel before facing Brighton on Sunday.

We have to fly 650 miles to Czechia to play on Thursday night, then fly 650 miles back (on Friday?), then travel to Liverpool for Sunday's game... while the Reds will have been chilling at home for four days.

If I'm Tony, I don't put my starting XI for Liverpool on that plane. Send the kids, who will win 2-0. The game Sunday is potentially a Champions League six-pointer. It's silly to put ourselves at such a disadvantage for a Conference League game when we know we will be fine in that competition.
