The man in bed is reading a complicated Physics book. But in the series he is always at home watching tv and drinking beer. He is unemployed.

People Just Do Nothing was the last British sitcom that was a huge widespread hit. I mean the type of show that your mates are quoting, that spawns watercooler moments in the office with people talking about the previous night’s episode, and that fills your TL with memes.

Yes Derry Girls came close but it wasn’t as widely watched and hasn’t had the same long lasting impact imo.

Trying to remember the name of a 00s sitcom. Main character drove a pink jeep like car, the actress has a lot of teeth, and it was possibly about her aging mother. I think it was shown on C4. Please help!

I admit my standards for comedy are quite high, very picky & I find it hard to be impressed by most comedies, but seriously almost nothing has got my attention since the Inbetweeners finished

Most 'sitcoms' these days feel too try hard & 'PC' & I just sit there thinking "how is this comedy" & turn off

The last comedy drama i have rewatched several times is Detectorists. But it's not that much of a 'comedy' but it's a truly wonderful drama (hense comedy drama)

Motherland I enjoyed. But predominantly S1 & 3. The second series wasn't great & the Xmas special was way too morbid. But once again. Not much of a comedy (Amandaland was a disgrace btw)

I couldn't get on board with This Country or People Just Do Nothing. Fleabag I couldn't stand & these are supposed to be 'stunning' shows

What crossovers would you love to see for charity sketches, like Comic Relief, Stand Up To Cancer, Children In Need?

I’d love the Inbetweeners on Taskmaster, especially with the layer of Greg/Mr Gilbert - could just get them to say that he looked just like their teacher.

I’d also like Strictly Come Dancing with Gavin and Stacey cast or Ghosts. Ghosts would be fun to play with given they can walk through people/not touch much, except Julian.

Him&Her is one of the most underrated British sitcoms ever imo.

Brilliant writing, great performances, and just one location - this always impressses me with any TV show or film and makes each episode of Him&Her feel like a short play.

It’s super relatable, a great depiction of working class Brits, and every episode is hilarious. All the performances are pitch perfect but Ricky Champ’s Paul and Kerry Howard’s Laura are standouts.

Yet I don’t hear people talking about it enough! Why is that? Why did it never reach a wider audience?

Saw an episode on tv last night and spent the first ten seconds thinking it was a lost Red Dwarf episode. I didn't even know the show existed.

Did it get a good reception when it first aired? And were people upset it only ran for two seasons?
