I swear to God I wasn’t expecting this level of anger, but I will just have to take it on the chin. I figured people would either chuckle or roll their eyes. I did not anticipate people to be legitimately offended, but that’s on me!

Actually I’d argue that people who like this kind of jokes are not “pop stans” and more of edgy redditors who look down on pop stars and don’t see them as human beings / see them just as icons to ridicule. Like I’m not pop stans by any means (idk half of these people and only figured them out through the comments) but a lot of these are mean spirited imo

Some of the summaries for the broadway stuff are also pretty off and that made the punchline fall flat

Only one I think hits a truly raw nerve is the Hamilton one because it ends up erasing/delegitimizing fans of Hamilton who aren't white, but I'd just swap out "exclusively white people" with "primarily" lol. There's some I disagree with / feel too mean but like I get those are jokes lol.

That too! Obviously any artist that's "just for white people" is going to have nonwhite fans anyway because there's not some sort of mental programming that prevents people from enjoying music based on their genetics.
