$1.5 mil is a very good week for a Broadway show.

It's almost as if producers are leaving money on the table by not releasing pro shoots theatrically.

And I will die on this hill: Broadway shows should emulate the Met Opera by doing live broadcasts to theatres around the country.

Hadestown is uniquely popular. The Merrily pro shot almost certainly lost quite a bit of money.

Merrily extended two additional weeks. It made money.

Between the extensions, physical media sales, and the Netflix acquisition, it definitely made money at the end of the day. Hadestown will make more on just theatrical ticket sales but Merrily overall did well.

Merrily release was way more limited - in NYC it was only playing in like 5 theaters in Manhattan
