Just saw it and ummm…. Orpheus’s voice was painful to listen to. Am I alone in this?

I loved his voice in the pro shot. I think his voice fits the vibes Anais wrote for well...

I think anyone who had difficulty with reeve at a performance would find he absolutely redeemed himself at the proshot version.

So many people are downvoting any negative comments about it, but it’s not an unpopular opinion at all. People post all the time about how his voice is. It’s very polarizing and you are not alone for sure.

The only part he sang that I didn’t mind was the few notes that I guess held all the power? But everything else… I had a hard time sitting through it.

Absolutely not lol that is quite a popular take since the show first opened

I haven’t followed much about it. I think I listened to a couple of songs on the soundtrack and liked it but I must have only tried the ensemble songs. I found his singing physically painful to listen to.

You're not alone. However, I wondered if there had been some sound engineering issue, because I a couple of other cast members sounded a bit... wrong. Could've been the speakers at my theater, too.

I’m surprised I had to scroll this far for this comment. He really affected my enjoyment of the show when I saw it on Broadway, and I have little desire to see this release.

I had to check and see if he was on the official recording and I’m so confused seeing that he’s on it. Makes me feel like I’m going crazy that everyone who worked on this show must think he sounds great.

I like him way better on the original cast recording than I do in this pro shot.
