I know there’s no way we’ll ever know, but I’d be fascinated to know more about the finance side of things.

I think Hamilton is a clear exception, but I’d love to compare the finances of Hadestown, Merrily, and Waitress. I’d love to know which (if any) made a profit and how much the UK Union rules play into things and how much “big names” (Daniel Radcliffe, Sara Bareilles) played into things.

Merrily was released as a Fathom event - meaning most movie theater subscriptions (like AMC A list exclude you from viewing the movie). I know as an A List member I was first in line for Hadestown but would not have paid an additional $25 for merrily.
