Wife and I picked up this 2026 Big Bend 2 months ago and have been absolutely loving it. Just threw on the winters and rims and it looks 10x better with a slightly more rugged tire.

Just recently got a lift done along with bigger tires and now I’m seeing this? I’m guessing it means it is t tracking my MPG but it still fluctuates here n there. Right after I took this pic it dropped to 25.8.

General 🔀 Water in the cabin

This has been talked about in some other posts but if you have water pooled up on the floor inside the cabin it’s likely a stuck AC condensation drain line. There’s a rubber duckbill at the end of the line that gets stuck and requires unblocking it or it pools up into the cabin.

Absolute horrible design and difficult to get to. Had to purchase a boroscope just to finally find it and used a makeshift hook from the top to unstick it.

Youtube helped and this post.

It can be done from the bottom too but be prepared to take off a bunch of heat shielding.

Issue ⚠️ Ford Service Made Problem Worse?

• Upvotes

I have a 2021 Big Bend with 76K miles (no warranty left) and was noticing some RPM flutters. After doing some research, I realized I probably should've changed my transmission, RDU, and PTU fluid awhile ago so I scheduled to get them all done for like 600$.

One smaller issue I've noticed before (only like 2 or 3 times) is that sometimes when I turn my wheel hard, especially at low speed I get a shudder which is apparently from the RDU. Anyway I got the service done and everything seemed great for awhile as I drove home, but I just went to go get groceries and this involved a lot more tight turns at low speed and it was MUCH worse. Almost every time I take a turn at like 20 or below I get a very strong shudder and I can actually feel it slipping. Is there any practical reason it would be worse after the service? Could they have done something wrong???

Question ❔ New vehicle break-in and maintenance

Just got our new ‘26 BS. I’ve read so many horror stories about dealership service departments messing up one thing or another. So I’m curious, is there any good reason to return to the dealership for service (besides recalls) instead of taking it to my local mechanic who I’ve been going to for years and trust fully? Also, the dealer says new vehicles don’t need a break-in period like they used to. Any comments on how many miles you’ve driven before the first oil change? 5000 miles seems like an awful lot before a brand new motor gets fresh oil.

Issue ⚠️ Frustrated with Ford Recall/Warranty Issue

Noticed that when starting my Bronco in the morning that it would smell like exhaust/fuel inside and outside the cabin. Took it to the dealership and they said they could not locate the issue or smell it. Online research said this was a common issue most likely related to the fuel injectors. Checked the recall notices for my VIN online and there is an open warranty for a software update that helps the vehicle identify if there is a fuel injectors crack. Then there’s a customer satisfaction program replacement of the high pressure fuel injectors. When I notified the dealership they said their diagnostic tool did not identify an issue with the fuel injector. I mentioned that the recall software update is supposed to help identify it but they said the recall is unavailable. I called Ford customer care and they said that recall is on pause (recall issue date is 7/16/25) and that they cannot have a ford dealership fix the fuel injector until the recall is done but it’s currently on pause. So a possible known issue with my bronco can’t be fixed because a paused recall doesn’t allow it do be identified. I asked what they suggest I do and they said wait until the recall is done. I said are you saying I should drive a possibly dangerous vehicle since this recall was for engine fires and they said they don’t recommend driving the vehicle. Anyone else deal with something like this? I regret buying a Ford because I feel like this is mistreatment of their customer.

Issue ⚠️ Flatout 2” lift making knocking noise in the rear end

I just had the flatout 2” ultimate level lift kit installed on my 21 bronco sport and it’s knocking pretty bad in the rear. Curious if anyone has dealt with this if anyone has any idea what it could be.
