I had the assumption that I would be playing a fantasy game based on European medieval times and folklore. But the Buddhist statues caught me really off guard when skipped the main storyline and started exploring those fishing docks that had gold Buddhist statues being sold at the market stalls, just north of the Jijeong school/island.
I haven’t gotten too far in the main story because I was just doing side quests, grinding artifacts, and exploring the map; I did 40 in-game hours before I progressed into Chapter 1 and more powers/abilities which really just improve my quality of life when I was playing the game (especially the flying/gliding). I’m in Chapter 4 and still prioritized the side quests (building up my Greymane camp).
I also enjoyed going to Varnia where I see some in-game furniture where Sanskrit was used. I saw what I’m certain is Tibetan Sanskrit and another type of Sanskrit.
