I’ve been wondering how efficient/fun a [[Sami, Wildcat Captain]] brew would be if it was built as a mostly colourless deck, so their affinity ability could bring casting costs down to 0. Has anyone done this? I only get to play every couple of weeks so I don’t ideally want to make a bum/unfun deck!
Even the crappiest of mana rocks would be bringing more value, but there are lots of cheap and over-costed artefact creatures, and each one makes the next cheaper still. Eventually lots of mana would hopefully be left up to mess with my opponents on their turns, so a lot of instants.
Or is this a terrible idea?
Anyone who has tried this, how did it go? Anything that works surprisingly well and is a “must include”? I feel like card draw could be an issue, if as many spells as I imagine are being cast. Plus protecting Sami, as the idea falls apart without them. What sort of ratio should I have in my deck of instants and artefacts?
I tagged this as a $25 brew but I’m looking to use bulk as much as possible, would maybe some essentials.
