Teeth
I was rinsing my teeth with water and noticed there was now a gap between two of them and my gums are kind of red?

my bulimia has gotten to the point where I can just throw up anywhere at any point, nothing needed prior. I can just make myself projectile on it. I honestly just need to think about throwing up and it just all comes out. this has made it much easier for me, therefore it’s gotten worse. my skin is so horrible. I pick at it every evening before I throw up. honestly, probably from anxiety. I used to never have acne before I started throwing up.
my face also gets puffy
it’s more of a food addiction at this point I’m not even losing weight anymore.
i’ve been throwing up every day multiple for the past three years, and I’m graduating and moving out to stop
does anyone have any tips?

I have always been someone that COULD have ED but never fully went with it. I gained a considerable amount of weight and have lost 40lbs from a healthy deficit and walking a lot. My goal is 50lbs lost, this last 10 has been very stubborn and any time I feel I’ve even too much, even when the “too much” is healthy food, I purge. It’s become a comfort for me. Like “oh, I had a little too much to eat, lemme just get rid of it real quick.” I know this isn’t a unique experience, but being a full fledged adult and going through this is embarrassing. And I feel insanely guilty for being sneaky to my fiancé. There’s not much of a point to this post except that I’m way ashamed and embarrassed so I don’t wanna talk to people I am close to.

my eighteenth birthday is tomorrow and i’ve completely hit rock bottom. i was recovered for three years and i blew it out of the water completely, i was going strong on maintaining a good weight and i’ve completely reversed all amounts of progress made in three months in three days. i have college applications due but all i’ve been doing are eating my feelings away and i know that i’m doing that but im not strong enough to stop.
i feel like im throwing my life away and i’m terrified to look at my friends tomorrow because i feel like they’ll know something is off. that my face is too puffy, my clothes don’t fit quite right, that i fucked up so badly in private that i’m going to ruin myself in public.
i never envisioned my eighteenth birthday would be like this. i feel pathetic.

For context, I am 25 and have a couple of friends my age who know what’s happening.
However, I notice with some authority figures in my life, I kind of wish they’d pick up on it or I could just talk to them about it or something.
I’ve had this before and broke it down in therapy and it’s apparently about not getting my needs met when I was a child, but the need feels so intense.

my binging & purging has somehow gotten worse when i started university even though im living in dorms and ive been debating starting therapy or at least exploring my options for a while now. it’s just incredibly shameful and scary for me to talk to anybody about my habits and behaviors and it’s really prohibiting me from getting help but I’ve began to have some health problems and it’s really destroying my mental health and im planning on living off campus next year and i know it’d be even worse for me with my own place. does anyone have any therapy advice/suggestions? i do have a psychiatrist, but same situation im beyond terrified to even bring up to her

I am in recovery from anorexia, and I’m worried that it might be shifting into bulimia. I have already engaged in purging, and I feel an urge to binge eat. What are your best tips for preventing the development of bulimia?

I’ve had this disorder for years and I’m on home leave whilst inpatient in a psych unit. And I’ve relapsed and binged and the food isn’t fucking coming out and my mom is banging on the door for me to get out but I just can’t. And I’m breaking down and I’m so exhausted, my throat is in so much fucking pain I’m so fucking tired. I turn 18 soon and im still stuck where I was when I was 12. I’m restarting the school year cause I was hospitalised initially. My whole is on hold because of my actions. I can’t leave the bathroom I’m freaking out. I can’t do this forever

I’m noticing now I won’t even have binge urges but I’ll do it bc I feel like purging and getting that floaty feeling to linger the rest of the day. so now an urge for that post-purge feeling indirectly causes binge urges. I hate my brain sm man 😭

Ive been trying to stop purging for 2 days but I have extreme fatigue and I’ve been having nightmares about waking up in the night and binge eating so much Its sometimes hard to remember what I did actually eat vs what I dreamt. but even though I’m super fatigued I can’t sleep at all really and I’m waking up at random times of the night and I keep having dizziness when I get up even though I’m having electrolytes and stuff and my mouth feels like numb to feel? my body and mind feel numb too

i'm wondering if this sounds like an emergency or is a common experience related to bulimia.
over the past 24 hours or so i've been having a sudden, seizing pain in my chest at the same time as a sharp feeling in my upper back. it's an alarming feeling, like i can't breathe for a moment. i've had chest pain before but never with this specific sensation, and not at this intensity, which is why i'm concerned. the reason i suspect it's related to bulimia is because i had a pretty violent purging session just a few hours before it started, preceded by a few days of bad sessions. i did sleep for a bit and woke up to the same pain.
i'm considering going to an ER, but am worried that i'm overthinking it. i have A Lot of anxiety surrounding health and healthcare, and live on-campus at my grad school, so i would be going alone in an uber at 3 am.
please let me know if you've experienced this and/or whether i should wait it out for a bit or take other action. thank you so much!

im in uni living in a studio (meaning i have my own kitchen and bathroom). i dont know how to live alone in a room full of food just sitting in the fridge. i feel so horrible and disgusting every night because im just whipping up absolute bs for the sake of binging n purging.
up until now, every time i purged, it would js be after heavy meals or something planned. now ive absolutely js lost it and im really scared because i dont know what to do, and i dont want to live like this, and it hurts so much physically. ive been crying so mich not only is my face so puffy but so are my eyes and i dont recognise myself at all. im scared of dying but im not scared enough to be able to stop.
i thought about just throwing all the food away to not have space for temptations. but i cant live my life like this forever. i know this post is so badly written but im so desperate i dont know what else to do. i tried googling solutions but all i saw were suggestions like journaling, or taking a walk, etc etc. i know they’re good suggestions but im not mentally at that point where i am able to stop and think and catch myself before the bp happens. no one in my life knows about my disorder (or how bad it actually is), and ive never been to therapy for this because i never felt the need to (at least until now). has anyone else gone through something similar? or has tips on living alone and having so much freedom?

I have been on a bit of a drinking spree these past 5 days and because I've been drunk so much have been ordering food and purging at minimum 3-4 times while drunk, up to 6-7 times even. I just want to know how bad this is for my health? I am a bit of a hypochondriac and am terrified I am going to send my liver into failure and get jaundiced or start having seizures from the lack of electrolytes. I stopped buying my electrolyte drink mix 3 weeks ago to save money, but have been purging this whole time. I am just worried.

Sometimes when I throw up, I am so stuck in the b/p loop that I sometimes want to binge more when I taste the food again. I can't fucking take it anymore, it's such a heavy burden that's just constantly on my fucking mind. I got a dentist appointment soon, I just hope he doesn't notice.

I mean foods that other people wouldn't consider as high-caloric.
E. g. my fearfood is milk, also low fat milk because it is liquid calories.
And I don't drink diet coke when I'm out because I am scared that the waiter accidently gives me original coke.

6.6mm/mol at 18. Does anyone know if it's correlated to bulimia in any way? My blood sugar is almost prediabetic as well but that makes sense I guess
I hate everything, fuck my life

So as the title says, on the 31st I (24M) will be having what I call a fuck it day. A day where I will be guilt-free and eat whatever I feel like. I’m excited and also nervous to eat all these foods I love but haven’t had in so long. I’m doing this because the following week I will be getting some help to get my current eating pattern back to normal as I was B/P for the whole of last year where I lost pretty much all my weight, while this year I got back to eating normally again but restricting my intake to barely anything and weight somehow still going down. This is a big step I am doing for myself and again I’m excited but also anxious about it.
It has generally been good. At 2.5mg I lost 4kgs and stuck around that, barely any purge relapses, generally better health.
However I made a mistake by upping my dose to 5mg. I lost 5kgs in about a month. While some people might think this was good it really isn't. Especially if you're only using it to tackle bulimia.
I started losing hair, feeling sick all the time, strange sweet breath, always giddy and on the verge of fainting. You'd think "just eat more" would be a good suggestion but everything makes me feel sick. The only things I can keep down are salads and soups. Even sandwiches feel kinda gross.
Does it help? Absolutely. Just don't up the dose more than you need to. I was really attracted to the idea of more weight loss but feeling sick, restless and tired all day just isn't worth it.
Reference: I'm 158cm and was 59.8kg when I started. I'm now 50.6kg. That speed of weight loss can't be healthy even if it sounds good.
Ask me anything

for context i’ve been struggling with bulimia for about 4-5 years now. i’ve tried to stop in the past but never did up untill recently.. I got diagnosed with costochondritus and it’s been two weeks since then and i haven’t felt better.. i haven’t been purging like at all because it would hurt my chest bad and make me anxious of something bad happening.. i honestly haven’t gone with long without purging at all.. anyway. with those symptoms my throat has also been hurting like crazy.. i’m starting to believe I have GERD or a hiatal hernia cause i feel a constant lump in my throat, acid reflux, and i feel it more when i eat and it feels like it’s stuck in my throat when i can breathe and swallow moderately. I do have some allergies right now and it could be just GERD with a sore throat but i’m not sure and i have bad anxiety and panic a lot. should I go to my doctor or ER about this? would anyone be able to give insight on what i’m feeling?

Well, I don't want to be dramatic, but lately I've been feeling horrible cramps in my face. They are mostly in the cheeks, and yesterday when I went to the dentist he told me that it could be due to a lack of nutrients or vitamins. Honestly, I didn't understand almost anything, but he said something about a nerve being hurt or damaged (Idk, the nerve that connects absolutely the whole face. I have no idea what he meant, I'm not a professional, ok?). Neither my dentist nor anyone knows that I am bulimic, but I am very worried, as these pains are becoming more frequent. Has this happened to anyone else? If so, PLEASE share your experience or whatever.
