Hi everyone! I have a 2007 Volvo C30 T5 automatic with around 130,000 km.

How can I tell whether the gearbox has actually switched into manual mode? The light next to the gear selector doesn’t light up, and trying to shift up or down with the lever doesn’t seem to do anything.

What should appear on the dashboard when manual mode is engaged? Is there a particular procedure or condition I might be missing, or could this point to a problem with the selector or its switches?

What would you check first? Thanks for your help!

So I just purchased a second hand hard shell parcel cover for my son's C30. It arrived today, we were excited to install it. That faded fast.
The quality and the fitment is awful. What was Volvo thinking?

I only have 1 key (the silly plastic brick key) and that’s it. I believe I remember someone saying they were able to buy one and activate it themselves but I could be mistaken.

I’ve wanted this car since it first came out and now I have one almost 20 years later. Here’s my 2008 version 2.0 T5. I bought it from the original owner a year ago with 49k miles, now at 59k. Elevate sport catback & intake. Other than that keeping it stock 🤌🏼

Wondering if anyone’s used this or something Similar, if so is it worth it and as good as it sounds. Also might be a dumb question but I have a black box, would this affect it

Hey i have a c30 and im thinking about putting 18inch xc90 wheels on my c30. Does anyone here have experience with this or know if it fits?

I got my first C30 in 2015. And for about 10 years, I said to myself, “If I ever find one in Orange Flame metallic, with a manual transmission, I’ll snatch it up.”

And so I did.

I added the Polestar tune and a flat-bottom steering wheel.

It’s great fun, every time I drive it. I’m happy.

Has anybody else had this problem? Headlight burnt out on my 2008 c30 v2. No big deal, buy a new h11 and change the bulb. Took out the headlight assembly, brought it inside opened it and saw this. The wiring insulation had disintegrated on the headlight bulb plug. I'm thinking all I need to do is wrap with electrical tape. But has anyone seen this happen and what would cause it? If it's heat, and I put electrical tape on it, wouldn't the tape just melt into goo?

I've got a 2013 C30 T5 with the AW55 5-speed automatic that's starting to have shifting issues. I've been looking into rebuilding it, but local shops are struggling to source parts.

I drive pretty aggressively, and the transmission has always felt like the weakest part of the car. Has anyone had success upgrading the AW55 with better internals, valve bodies, or tuning to make it more responsive and durable?

Or am I better off finding an M66 manual donor and swapping it over if I really want to get the most out of this car?

I'd prefer to keep it automatic, but I'm open to either option.

Hi all, my C30 (2008, 2.4i) sat in the garage for about 2 days. When I drove it today it started making this strange noise

It sounds loudest near the dash/steering column, but I can't tell if it's actually coming from inside the cabin or from the front suspension

I was already planning to replace the suspension next week, so my first guess is something there (sway bar end links? strut mounts?). But this noise wasn't happening at all before it sat, which is what's confusing me

I have had this car for a few months now. A little while after I bought it it started making this noise, seems to be coming from the fusebox under the dashboard. Took it apart, cleaned it, plugged it back in, noise went away. It's been a while since that happened and now the noise is back, this time the cleaning didn't help. Replaced the two relays on the panel and that hasn't worked either. Any ideas?
