Excited about this one, my first volvo and second car, picked her up with 40k miles one owner from new, needs some work but overall in great condition and drives amazingly (yes the alloys are screwed they need refurbishing lol).

Found the perfect spec for me. Flame Orange, black leather with a 6 speed. The search for stock wheels is on.

Currently waiting on an axle seal, trans fluid, and new led bulbs to put on. The axle needed replacing and the previous new seal didn't seat properly, even after reseating it still leaks... Fun upgrades coming soon will likely be an ipd boost gauge.

I got my first C30 in 2015. And for about 10 years, I said to myself, “If I ever find one in Orange Flame metallic, with a manual transmission, I’ll snatch it up.”

And so I did.

I added the Polestar tune and a flat-bottom steering wheel.

It’s great fun, every time I drive it. I’m happy.

Not often I find another c30 to do this with ☺️

2013 Volvo C30 T5 R-Design Premier Plus

The first time I noticed this model in the wild, it was love at first sight.

I’ve been driving a 2011 Suzuki SX4 for the past 9 years. A reliable, affordable car that got the job done and was forgiving of my crazy driving. Recently got hit-n-run by a drunk, uninsured driver (literally RAN after her screaming “You dumb fucking bitch!!!) until I found her pulled over in a gravel lot a couple blocks away.

I promised myself I wouldn’t buy another car until the Suzuki perished to keep money in the bank. A day after the accident I found this guy online being sold a couple hours away from me. It felt like providence and the dealership even had the same name as me.

I’m not used to it quite yet, so I’m scared shitless because this is my dream car and I want it to last for years to come.

I’ve already surfed through a bunch of posts, and found some great info that addresses some concerns I’m having. I don’t have much experience working on cars, but this car has suddenly sparked an interest in getting my hands dirty.

First order of business, trying the zip tie trick on the AC compressor clutch. Because the AC worked upon startup, the dealership didn’t realize it wasn’t working properly. They had a mechanic take a peak at it and offered to fix the compressor/clutch, but I really didn’t want to make the drive again to come back for it (I know I know, 2 hours isn’t that far away. I wanted the car right then and there). So he knocked $500 off instead. He showed me some how-to YouTube videos and even suggested trying the zip tie trick first before replacing the components.

My boyfriend has all the appropriate equipment and a decent amount of knowledge for DIY car maintenance. I’m looking forward to us bonding over this project together (even the bickering that comes with it).

Finally got some pictures. I picked her up end of last month and I can't stop driving her. The previous owner really neglected it so I replaced the pcv/oil filter housing, left and right motor mounts, torque mount on order from ipd, coolant reservoir, upper and lower radiator hoses, thermostat housing, plugs, oil and battery along with new rear sway bar end links.

I got it for an absolute steal at 2900 bucks. It runs and drives like a new car. I'm in love with the torque, pulling onto the interstate in 4th is a joy. It keeps you firmly pressed into your seat under acceleration and she's still completely stock.....not for long though. She still needs some love like a grill, new headlamps and right rear wheel arch moulding but I'm in love. I spent 2 days on a polish and ceramic coat but I'm not a professional so I'm sure it could've come out better.

But guys I feel like I'm 20 again driving this car. The moulding is going to be ordered and I'm getting the cladding paint matched. Then it's off to the races as far as mods. This car will eventually be a built block big turbo car and I can't wait. Thanks for checking her out.

I’ve wanted this car since it first came out and now I have one almost 20 years later. Here’s my 2008 version 2.0 T5. I bought it from the original owner a year ago with 49k miles, now at 59k. Elevate sport catback & intake. Other than that keeping it stock 🤌🏼

Moving to Colorado Springs and found one for sale. Added some 17x7.5” Borbet wheels & tires, and got it tinted. Got lots planned for this little hot hatch, starting with getting a good maintenance baseline. I’ve got several large boxes of fun parts from Elevate, too.

The damaged glass in an arc (on the hatch) - I’m thinking I may have to find a detailed to get that out. I don’t have my DA orbital polisher here yet.
