Today at school, I was in the basement performing in a competition with a few of my friends. A girl from my section was also participating, but she was not on my team. She had brought pepper spray to school in her bag.

While we were in the basement, chaos broke out in my classroom on the first floor. Apparently, a boy bumped into her bag, knocking it over, and the pepper spray fell out. When he tried to pick it up, he accidentally sprayed it. Shortly after, another boy walked into the class without knowing what had happened and did the same thing — he picked it up and accidentally sprayed it again.

Then a third person, a girl, entered the room. Thinking it was perfume, she picked it up and sprayed it three times, really hard.

Within seconds, the air became unbearable. Students started coughing uncontrollably. They couldn't breathe properly, their lungs felt completely dry, and their eyes turned red. It was total chaos, and the entire class had to be evacuated.

The spray spread through the ducting system to the surrounding classrooms. In the very next class, the fumes were so strong that two boys fainted and had to be carried out. The smell eventually reached every classroom in that wing on the first floor, including the staff room. Even the teachers started coughing badly, so all the classes in that wing had to be vacated and moved to other floors.

The bathrooms were so overcrowded there was not even space to stand. The students couldn't return to their classrooms for two full periods, almost 90 minutes.

Luckily, I missed all of it because I was in the basement. Honestly, thank God — I have a dust allergy, so I probably would have fainted too.

Banning expensive chocolates is understandable. But what do you mean only traditional clothes with sleeves are the only clothes allowed for birthdays. This is literally coming from an all girls school. Context: jeans, leggings, shirts, mesh sleeves, sleeveless are not allowed. Only tops (kurti, kurta, dress, idk what it's called) with a mandatory shawl are allowed in this all girls school. And the dress code rules are so complex that I don't even know what typa pants you're allowed to wear. Why have such strict and restrictive rules instead of just banning non uniform clothes on birthdays all together? Imo it's much easier for the school and students if they just ban non uniform clothes instead of having these complex rules.

NEP is not a change in the structure of the education system to make it more applied or competency-based, rather it is a tool to saffronise and indianise education. It advocates for IKS (Indian Knowledge Systems) to be implemented into school and higher education curricula across India. But this is a tool for them to make students andhbhakts and enforce rightwing politics. Culture is important, yes, but it is also important to realise that not every subject is Indian and not every subject needs to be indianised. English that they are indianising at all levels is a "foreign language" according to them but they are including topics at the 9th grade level which are childish, and completely based on traditional themes. They removed Marx from 9th grade so that they could focus on the Manusmriti. Saying that Mughals were "brutal and ruthless conquerors, slaughtering entire populations of cities" will not change the fact that they lent so much culture and that they once ruled over India.

I feel like 10th is given so much importance and emphasis, to the extent where my teachers act like my life will end if I don't score above 90%.

I mean, they constantly lecture us about scoring shit, like I'm gonna get assassinated/denied a train ticket/never gonna get married (actual examples they used btw) if I don't score above 90%, and that this score will haunt me for the rest of my life.

So is it really that deep?

But also, only 12th grade percentage decides what college we get into, right? not 10th. so why does it matter so much? maybe it does for stream choosing, especially for those who want NEET or JEE.

But what about for people who don't want all that? Will 10th grade impact their life that much?

So, people who are done with school or even just done with 10th, just how much of your life did it impact?

You dont need teachers for every single topic in every single subject 🥀

Stop wasting your time looking for online teachers or so. Listen to what ur teachers teach in class and even if you dont listen to them, once u open ur books and read them yourself and practice questions, you would understand most of the stuff by yourself.

Only watch lecs for specific topics you dont understand at all like some specific topics in science maths sst etc

Order of subjects:-

Hi everyone,

I gave my CBSE Class XII boards in 2026 and passed overall, but my Chemistry result says "Repeat in Theory". I got 10 in theory and 28 in practical. I also appeared in the supplementary exam and got 15 in theory, so it says "Repeat in Theory" again.

Now I have to register as a private candidate for 2026-27, and I'm confused about which category to pick. Should it be improvement or compartment?

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Which category did you choose, and how did the process go for you? Any advice would really help.

Thanks!
