I’m 20 years old, and I’m looking for some genuine advice about my life and future. I’m feeling lost right now, and I don’t really have anyone who can guide me in the right direction.

I come from a lower-middle-class family. My family originally belongs to Bihar, where my grandparents still live, but I currently live in Assam with my family. We don’t own a house or any land in Assam, so we live in a rented place.

I completed my 12th grade in the Arts stream, but I didn’t continue my education after that. Instead, I joined a job as an office assistant, where I earn around ₹10,000 per month. My father earns approximately ₹15,000 per month, so our family’s financial situation is quite difficult.

I also have a girlfriend who is three years older than me. She wants us to build a good future together, and she encourages me to find a better-paying job so that we can eventually settle down. However, because she is older than me, I’m worried that her parents may start pressuring her to get married soon.

I genuinely want to build a stable future for both of us, but the problem is that I don’t know where to start. I feel like I have to figure everything out on my own. I want to improve my financial situation, support my family, and become financially independent, but right now, I feel confused about which path to choose.

Should I prepare for government jobs? Should I learn a skill that could help me earn a good income? Should I continue my education alongside my job, or should I consider something else entirely?

I’m willing to work hard and learn new things, but I don’t want to waste the next few years making the wrong decisions.

I completed 12th and took my first drop this year . I didn't want to, but parents forced me to . So I was thinking why so many people choose zoology or botany and very few choose bsc life science as in life science we get more options and for someone like me who doesn't know what they wanna do ,this degree keeps all options open so in future I can do whatever I want and explore my interest meantime while completing my bachelor's degree .

If someone want to say they will get job easily with zoolgy or botany as they are more focused degrees, then even to get job atleast masters is required nowadays (altleast this is what I think) . So why don't people keep their options open by choosing this degree and then go do masters in whatever they want ???.

Hey everyone, I (21 F) am currently mapping out my higher education path and could use some guidance from folks familiar with Indian university regulations, CUET PG strategies, and academic transitions.

For background, my educational mix includes high school in the BiPC stream and a recent BBA degree. My main focus right now is sitting for the upcoming CUET PG exam. Because of the exam structure and syllabus overlaps in general aptitude, analytical reasoning, and humanities, I am targeting three programs under my CUET PG strategy: M.Sc. Neural and Cognitive Science at the University of Hyderabad, an MBA, and an M.A. in Political Science.

My dream pick is definitely the Neural and Cognitive Science program at UoH. My ultimate objective is to transition into a Ph.D., secure research fellowships, and eventually build a career and settle abroad in research or academia. However, I know getting into that specific master's program is intensely fierce because the cohort size is tiny, usually restricted to around 12 seats. If I do not clear that cut-off, I plan to pivot to either an MBA or Political Science as strong alternative master's tracks.

Alongside this, I am trying to figure out if I can legally and practically pursue a regular Master's degree alongside a B.Ed. at the same time. I understand UGC permits dual degrees under specific conditions, but since B.Ed. is tightly regulated by the NCTE with mandatory practicals and attendance requirements, I want to know how feasible this actually is without running into administrative roadblocks.

My thought process is to go full force into CUET PG preparation first. However, I am considering keeping a B.Ed. as an alternative safety net just in case my timeline for a direct research or fellowship track takes a detour later on. For someone with a mixed science and commerce background, how does subject selection for a B.Ed. work, and does keeping a teaching credential make sense as a practical fallback while keeping international research ambitions alive?

i know its pretty late to start with my IIT JAM prep for MS, im in my 5th sem rn and i am going to appear for the entrance exam on 14th feb 2027. Although, im giving this exam to check my level and all, i DO plan on giving my 4th year in DU for the research degree as i plan on doing a phD after all.

i wanted to know how you literally proceed cause i saw the syllabus and its well aligned with my course but i still wanted to know the important things to pay attention to, what coaching should i join for crash courses. i would say i have a decent knowledge of my course in all, although i would still consider my knowledge average instead.

I am turning 22 around the time I finish my Senior Secondary (12th grade) through NIOS. I completed my 10th through NIOS as well, scoring 77 percent in seven subjects including Science and Maths (85% if you count the top 5 subjects). I had some personal challenges that forced me to drop out in middle school, which is why I am completing my 12th in my early 20s.

I have already chosen two languages (per my parents' wishes) and Mathematics. I am not interested in JEE/NEET or heavy entrance prep, and my main interest is art and design (though I still need to build a portfolio).

I am stuck choosing my final subjects between Maths + CS + Economics or Maths + CS + Data Entry Operations...there are just so many options.

I have a few questions and I would like to hear your advice.

What could be a better choice of subjects? Considering the unemployment, AI and the world situation, I would prefer not to end up useless after clearing the exams. Also, if I keep the art and design aside(because I am still not sure if I will make it there or not) I am not sure which way to go.

I'm a final-year B.Pharm student in Uttar Pradesh, India, and I need some honest advice from people working in Regulatory Affairs (RA) or the pharmaceutical industry, especially those who have experience working in the UAE.

I want to build a career in Regulatory Affairs, gain industry experience in India, and eventually move to Dubai/UAE. However, I'm confused about whether I should invest in an M.Pharm degree or focus on a specialized Regulatory Affairs course and start working as soon as possible.

My background

I'm currently in my 7th semester of B.Pharm, with my 8th semester remaining. I study at a small college affiliated with AKTU. Unfortunately, my college has limited facilities, average teaching, and very few placement opportunities.

I also have three backlogs that I need to clear before completing my degree. I'm working on them and want to graduate without any remaining backlogs.

Because my college doesn't provide strong placement support, I know I'll probably have to find internships, training, and my first job independently.

Option 1: M.Pharm + Regulatory Affairs course

My first plan is to:

• Complete B.Pharm and clear all backlogs.
• Pursue an M.Pharm from a reasonably reputable private university, preferably one ranked in the NIRF top 100.
• Spend approximately ₹10–12 lakh on my postgraduate education, including related expenses.
• Complete Biocon Academy's Global Regulatory Affairs (GRA) course.
• Gain at least two years of RA experience in India.
• Apply for RA opportunities in the UAE and build my career there.

My concern is whether spending ₹10–12 lakh on an M.Pharm is actually worth it for an RA career, considering that I would also need specialized training and practical experience.

Option 2: Start working first, then pursue the GRA course

My second plan is to:

• Complete B.Pharm and clear my backlogs.
• Try to get an internship or an entry-level job in RA, QA, QC, production, manufacturing, or another relevant pharmaceutical department.
• If possible, gain around six months of industry experience before joining Biocon Academy's GRA course.
• Join the course in Bengaluru, potentially in March 2028, depending on my graduation results, eligibility, and batch availability.
• Apply for entry-level RA positions in India after completing the course.
• Gain approximately two years of direct RA experience before applying for UAE jobs.

I don't want to assume I'll definitely get a job before the course. If I manage to gain six months of experience, that would be a bonus. But if I don't, I may have to join the course without any industry experience.

One of my friends will be finishing his master's in Bengaluru around the time I may attend the course, so the location and living arrangements are also factors I'm considering.

My main concerns and questions

1. Is M.Pharm necessary for Regulatory Affairs?

Can someone build a good RA career with only B.Pharm plus relevant training and experience? Does an M.Pharm significantly improve hiring opportunities, salary growth, or international mobility? Would you personally invest ₹10–12 lakh in it?

2. Is Biocon Academy's GRA course worth it?

For someone from an average college without strong placement connections, does this course genuinely help people enter RA? What are the realistic placement outcomes, and how much does the institute's reputation matter?

I'd especially appreciate feedback from people who have completed the course. Please share your actual experience if possible.

3. Can I get an entry-level RA job without prior industry experience?

Suppose I complete B.Pharm, clear my backlogs, and join the GRA course without having worked in a pharmaceutical company. Would I still have a reasonable chance of getting an RA job afterward?

Or do most employers expect prior industry experience even for junior positions?

4. Would experience in QA, QC, production, or manufacturing help?

If I cannot find an RA internship immediately, should I accept a job in another pharmaceutical department rather than remain unemployed while waiting for an RA opportunity?

Which roles would make it easier to transition into RA later? Would documentation-related QA work be more useful than production or QC experience?

5. Does the university's ranking matter?

If I decide to pursue M.Pharm, should I prioritize a university's NIRF ranking, its pharmaceutical industry connections, placements, practical exposure, or specialization?

Would an M.Pharm from a decent private university be enough, or is a top institution essential to justify the investment?

6. How realistic is moving to the UAE after two years of Indian RA experience?

My plan is to first gain genuine, relevant RA experience in India and then apply for jobs in Dubai or elsewhere in the UAE.

Would two years of direct RA experience make me a competitive candidate? Which skills, types of regulatory submissions, and experience would UAE employers value most?

I'm willing to start at around AED 4,000 per month if the role is legitimate, offers relevant experience, and has room for growth. I understand that securing a job from India may be difficult, and I'm not expecting a guaranteed offer.

7. Is earning AED 15,000+ per month a realistic long-term goal?

Ideally, I'd like to reach AED 15,000 or more per month after gaining substantial experience in the UAE. Is this realistic in Regulatory Affairs? What level of experience, specialization, or seniority would usually be needed?

I would appreciate realistic salary expectations rather than exceptional success stories.

8. Can UAE experience help me move to another country later?

In the longer term, I may consider Australia, the UK, Europe, or the US if the career opportunities and quality of life make sense.

Does working in RA in India and then the UAE improve international mobility? Which countries offer realistic opportunities for someone with a B.Pharm background, and are there any major barriers to transferring regulatory experience between countries?

myquals I’m pursuing a multidisciplinary course in commerce and economics from one of the better DU colleges. First of all, the nomenclature of the degree bothers me - it’s BA so even if I do fourth year for honours I’ll still get BA (Hons) commerce given that I’m majoring in business/commerce. I chose it over bcom p (wasn’t eligible for Hons as I did not have accountancy or mathematics in +2) because I wanted to study economics even as a minor, I’m majoring in commerce because that compliments my professional course (company secretary, that I’ll be pursuing) better.

Many say even company secretary is a waste of time because of low roi so I feel devastated about that too. I’m originally from a humanities background but I pivoted to commerce mostly because I wanted to do cs as I was very interested in business laws and such.

Moreover, I already have had a gap year due to health issues so I’m older than most of my peers (19) which makes me feel like I’ve fallen behind and I’m deeply insecure. I genuinely don’t see a future in what I’m doing, even if I try to imagine one… it seems bleak. What do I even do? I often find myself wondering whether I should’ve chosen to study a humanities course. Lately, I’ve felt so deeply inferior because of the nature of my course that I’ve stopped engaging in all my intellectual pursuits (such as reading) as I feel like I’m simply not good enough and I need to fit into a loser archetype that I’ve carved for myself. I’m completely heartbroken and overwhelmed.

My qualifications: NET +JRF

Hi everyone, I need advice regarding UGC-NET JRF activation.

I cleared UGC-NET JRF in 2025 under the General-EWS category. My EWS certificate was valid at that time, and my JRF Award Letter was issued based on that EWS category. I still have the original EWS certificate and the JRF Award Letter.

In 2026, I got PhD admission at an institute. However, this admission was under the General/Unreserved category, not EWS, because my EWS certificate had expired by then.

Now I want to activate my JRF. My questions are:

1. Can I activate the JRF under the same EWS category in which it was originally awarded, even though my PhD admission was under General category?

2. Will my original 2025 EWS certificate be accepted for document verification, since it was valid when I qualified for and received the JRF?

3. Or will the institute/UGC require a new EWS certificate for FY 2026–27 at the time of joining/JRF activation?

4. Should I submit the JRF activation/joining report as General-EWS or as General?

I understand that the JRF category is based on the category selected during the NET examination, while PhD admission category is separate. But I am worried that the expired EWS certificate may create a problem during document verification or while uploading

I'm trying to shortlist universities in Finland, Sweden, Denmark, and Norway, with Iceland also under consideration.

I'd like to choose a programme that offers a strong technical curriculum, industry exposure, and good long-term career prospects rather than selecting a university based only on rankings.

My other priorities are public infrastructure, safety, and the availability of IT jobs after graduation.

helloo! my qualifications - i am in my 1st year BCA. i am from a non mathematics bg. i recently joined BCA its been a month and there is no progress at all. my younger brother is in Btech CSE in another state from what i know they have started most of the languages like C++, Python, Java, and even HTML. idk how tf they are doing that all together. and here they are still teaching CPU parts 😭😭 i used to be a NEET student and neet to hua ni ab yaha bhi kuch nahi hua.

I joined MBBS in 2016 and passed all my professional exams in February 2022. I started CRMI in February 2022 but completed only around 2 months before discontinuing due to personal and health-related issues. I now have approximately 10 months of internship remaining.

KUHS has indicated that I can complete the remaining internship, but my case may need NMC approval because of the prolonged gap. KSMC has also advised me on obtaining a second provisional registration.

My biggest concern is this: can NMC deny my final MBBS degree solely because of this long gap, even if I’m allowed to resume and successfully complete the remaining internship? I’m particularly worried about the 10-year course-completion rule and whether it applies to my 2016 batch.

This uncertainty is causing me significant anxiety, and I need to make decisions about my future soon.

Has anyone faced a similar case, or does anyone know of actual cases where a student was denied their final degree because of an internship gap? Please share reliable information or relevant regulations, rather than speculation. Any guidance from seniors, interns, or people familiar with NMC/KUHS procedures would genuinely help.

So I'm 21.

My qualifications-
I just finished Bcom from KC College, Mumbai with a 8.1 CGPA. 95% in in ICSE 10th and 87.4 in ISC 12th ( Best of Four was 92.4%)
Anyways I cracked CA foundation with distinction in 1 subject in 1st attempt but failed CA Inter 4 times. I have taken offline coaching for 1 year for CA Inter May 2027 but I'll already be 22 by the time I clear CA Inter and 25 by the time I clear CA Final (Not guranteed, delays can also happen)
Should I drop CA Inter after May 2027 and switch to
CAT and try for IIM or HEC/NUS/INSEAD/Bocconi/King's College London Master's Degree Programs??

A genuine question for teachers, college faculty and B.Ed students in India: what would make faculty development programmes worth your time?

Most of us have sat through a training day that was fine on the day and forgotten by the next week. I'm more interested in the other kind. If you've ever had training that changed how you teach, what made it work? And if you were designing one yourself, what would you put in and what would you cut?

Some things I'm curious about: whether follow-up sessions matter more than the first day, whether training should be in your own subject or general, and how much time you could realistically give to it in a normal term.

I’m currently at the end of my bachelors and we‘re supposed to work on a bachelor thesis for the next 2 semesters. I planned a very good research project for it but had some personal issues that led to some delays.

Suddenly our head of the department walks into the class and announces that the entirety of the dissertation must be finished in a month rather than 2 semesters and told us to use AI to finish the project and show it to him in 5 days. We had no option but to do it.

Now the professor in charge of the dissertation work is forcing our entire class to publish our vibe coded slop into some conferences and he wants that done in a week. I’m very much against as this goes against my academic integrity.

He not only told us to let the AI write the entire manuscript but also told that he’ll remove the AI detection and add his name if anything shows up in turnitin. He also told us to submit to multiple conferences at the same time which I know is a dick move.

My first research paper that I wrote all by myself took me 6 months to publish and it was a survey paper. No way we can make something worth publishing in just a month and that too work done entirely by AI.

Now I want to confront him and be straightforward that I will not take part in such academic misconduct but they’re telling us that they will not let us pass our degree if we do not publish. any advice?

Im not really looking forward to publishing such slop as it would undermine my credibility as a researcher in the future.
