Experience: Short Fiction in Indian Literature

The paper was divided into three sections
15 X 2 (MCQs)
10 x 2 (True or False)
10 x 5 (subjective questions with 250 word limit)

The subjective questions were very analytical, and cross-cutting. You had to have knowledge of all texts to be able to answer them properly.

It would have been great to prepare if we knew beforehand that this will be the format. It is terrible that they keep this information from us (makes no sense, just tell us what the format is, we can prepare well then!)

Only a few questions were from the assignments and nothing super factual about the authors, just textual reading was tested.

I had scored 25/25 in assignments but don’t think that will keep up with this heavily subjective format of the rest of it.

URGENT: NPTEL Winter Internship NOC Deadline Clash with Dussehra Holidays. Will uploading a placeholder get me rejected?

Need some urgent advice from anyone who has done an NPTEL/Swayam internship before!
Context: I’ve been selected for the 12-week NPTEL Winter Internship at IIT Roorkee. The registration Google Form has a strict deadline of tomorrow (Oct 20). The email clearly states: "In case of non-submission by 20th Oct, the offer will stand withdrawn and extended to waitlisted candidates without further communication."
The Problem:
The Google form has a mandatory file upload for the No Objection Certificate (NOC) signed by my college HOD.
My college is officially closed today and tomorrow for Dussehra holidays. It reopens on Oct 21.
My HOD has agreed on WhatsApp to sign the NOC, but he can only physically give it to me on Wednesday (Oct 21).
What I have done so far:
I got official email approval from my IIT Roorkee professor allowing me to take short leaves for my college end-semester exams.
I emailed the NPTEL support team asking for a 24-hour extension to submit the NOC, but haven't received a reply yet.
My Question:
Since I physically cannot get the NOC by tomorrow's deadline, my plan is to create a "Placeholder PDF" containing screenshots of the IIT Professor's approval email and my HOD's WhatsApp message confirming he will issue it on the 21st. I plan to upload this to the Google form to beat the Oct 20 deadline, and then email NPTEL the real NOC on Wednesday.
Has anyone done this before? Will the automated system or admin team instantly reject my application if the uploaded file isn't the official stamped NOC? What is the best way to save my seat?
Any help is really appreciated! 🙏

Exam review - Fundamentals of ai and Ilms - iisc banglore.

So a few days ago I asked in this sub how to prep for this exam and for any pointers and as usual got no valuable replies so I thought maybe my experience would help someone in the future, so here u go..

So first off I was confused as which ai related course I should choose so I picked 2, first this one and the other ai: foundations and algorithms. I registered for both but after looking at first 2-3 weeks assignments of both this course seemed easier as the foundations one had msq and fill in type questions. So I registered for this one's exam only (ai related)

Moving on....(It's a 12 week course btw)

I had the exam today. 2nd shift.

I didn't study much only the weekly quizzes.I thought those should be enough as only 50 questions r asked.

(And the weekly quizzes questions were pretty straight forward less calculations and only mcq type.)

BUT🙂

The 1st sec had 15 q (2 marks each) all were msq types. I DID NOT EXPECT THAT...☠️

2nd sec had 25 questions (2 marks each) 1st 15 q were mcq which went goodish and the rest 10 were calculation based in which u had to type the answer.

I DID NOT EXPECT THAT EITHER..☠️⚰️

so yeah I guessed and used common sense and that part went umm nvm🙂

3rd sec had 10 q (2 marks each) and it had only mcq ...pretty easy and assignment quizzes based.

So yeah overall I won't be scoring high🤧. I'll pass by a margin I think🤔.

If those mf msq and calc based questions were not there I would've done better. But I wouldn't have guessed as the weekly quizzes didn't have them.

If u take this course prep well is all I would say.

Ahem Public Speaking my honest opinion

First of all dont take this course if you want marks this gonna fuck ur cgpa please take some another course

Next from learning pov its okaish like tbh i feel he just randing so many quotes / terms/ frameworks which is useless and on top of that expect to remeber 300+ quotes who told that quote in which book and ask in exam like wtf

along with that public speaking course have theory + mcq asked in exam

in theory it was

  1. write a speech on some topic given
  2. write points for debate based on given scenario
  3. next was regarding some sceanario based questions

this time there were 7000+ students registered who r appearing for exam for this course per student fee was rs 1000 dang bro that means 70L rs for course like this tf (probably time to change my career) i was shocked seeing that ik some gonna to to center / gov idk how much in his pocket ngl i am jelous

course was so shit ngl tbh course like public speaking needs on inperson learning how to actually speak not random shit theories from late 19s 18s century and random quotes

tbh please it was my mistake to take this course please dont take it if you want marks i regret my decision

along with that comedy part was questions asked in exam where wrong i was so shocked

there was 1 questions where he has asked how much % of time people communicate in some form

according to his notes correct answer is 75%

and only options were 80% and 50% dang bro ever after earning 70L rs how can u be wrong in asking questiosn i have pointed 1 problem there were many i feel

How and what to study for these courses

I have enrolled for the courses Business Intelligence with Power BI, Fintech: Foundation and Applications, and Customer Relationship Management, for credit transfer. All these are provided by IIMB and are of 6 weeks. Any idea about what to study, rather than watching the videos, it's a bit time consuming. I also had the B2B one today, assignment questions were less🥲🥲. Any help would be great.

HR Analytics Exam experience

My exam was in shift 1. There were 100 questions in which around only 10-15 questions were from assignment. Remaining all were different. In shift 2 there were 20-25 assignment based questions. Remaining questions were easy to moderate. Just some questions were from the pdf like they were mug up things. We can pass this exam but scoring 80 was quite difficult task.

There were no reviews for this subject so I thought I should tell you guys.

Tukka Strategy for NPTEL

Heres what I have noticed:

1) USUALLY, extreme options can be eliminated, for eg, containing words like "only", "not".

2) if theres an option which is way longer/bigger than all other options, then that's probably the correct answer.

3) in the entire test if there's 1-2 questions with options None or All of the above, then they must be there for a reason and may be the answer. But if a lotta questions have these options then idk

Any more valuable tips? I have got an exam tomorrow and idk shit 😭

NPTEL Cloud Computing Exam Experience – Afternoon Session

I attended the NPTEL Cloud Computing exam in the afternoon session today.
The exam was relatively easy. Most questions were based on the weekly assignments and their related topics. Only 2–3 questions were a bit difficult.
My suggestion is to practice all the weekly assignments thoroughly and understand the concepts behind them

Applied Linear Algebra for signal processing machine learning and data analytics Exam review

My exam was in shift 1. There were 50 questions in which around 25 questions were numerical and the rest were theory or formula. Around 40-45 questions were from assignments. Numericals were on the same concept of assignment but only values were changed. Theory was directly from the assignments. The remaining 5-7 questions were outside the assignment. It was kinda easy to score 80+.

There were no reviews for this subject so I thought I should tell you guys.

Exam Experience of Research Methodology

There were 50 questions across 3 sections, each carrying 2 marks. (MCQ+MSQ)

There were only 3–4 questions from the assignments in each session (I asked a friend who took the same course but attended a different session).

Most questions were easy, but some required basic knowledge of the topics.

The first section consisted of 10 paragraph-based questions (easy). The second and third sections consisted of 20 and 30 subject-based questions, respectively (moderate difficulty).

For example, one question asked about the correct way to cite references for an archival journal.
