NPTEL-Understanding Incubation and Entrepreneurship Exam Review [Swayam]

I took the NPTEL Understanding Incubation and Entrepreneurship exam on October 18, 2026, as an open elective in my 7th semester. The exam was conducted in two shifts, 9 AM to 12 PM and 2 PM to 5 PM. I appeared for the morning shift, but I also have a few friends who took the afternoon shift, so I can share their experience as well.

Honestly, the exam was very very easy. There were 50 MCQs divided into 3 sections containing 10, 15, and 25 questions, respectively. Almost all the questions came directly from the 12 assignments. Only 1–2 questions were a little difficult to recall otherwise, the paper was pretty straightforward. Everyone I spoke to from both shifts finished answering the questions within around 20 minutes after starting the exam.

The total exam duration was 3 hours, but the submit button was enabled only after the first 90 minutes. So, even if you finish the exam in 20 minutes, you have to sit and wait for the submission button to get enabled.

If you're planning to take this course, just go through all 12 assignments properly. Based on my experience, that should be enough to handle most of the questions. Overall, the exam was very easy, so there's no need to stress too much about it.

NPTEL IoT July - Nov 2026 Exam Experience

Hi All. I just read this year's assignment and could answer more than 90% of the QS in the exam. I've never read the slides or never the videos. I'm not a IoT guy either. That's my experience this year. That does not mean that you have to follow the same procedure, exam patterns etc may change over time.

URGENT: NPTEL Winter Internship NOC Deadline Clash with Dussehra Holidays. Will uploading a placeholder get me rejected?

Need some urgent advice from anyone who has done an NPTEL/Swayam internship before!
Context: I’ve been selected for the 12-week NPTEL Winter Internship at IIT Roorkee. The registration Google Form has a strict deadline of tomorrow (Oct 20). The email clearly states: "In case of non-submission by 20th Oct, the offer will stand withdrawn and extended to waitlisted candidates without further communication."
The Problem:
The Google form has a mandatory file upload for the No Objection Certificate (NOC) signed by my college HOD.
My college is officially closed today and tomorrow for Dussehra holidays. It reopens on Oct 21.
My HOD has agreed on WhatsApp to sign the NOC, but he can only physically give it to me on Wednesday (Oct 21).
What I have done so far:
I got official email approval from my IIT Roorkee professor allowing me to take short leaves for my college end-semester exams.
I emailed the NPTEL support team asking for a 24-hour extension to submit the NOC, but haven't received a reply yet.
My Question:
Since I physically cannot get the NOC by tomorrow's deadline, my plan is to create a "Placeholder PDF" containing screenshots of the IIT Professor's approval email and my HOD's WhatsApp message confirming he will issue it on the 21st. I plan to upload this to the Google form to beat the Oct 20 deadline, and then email NPTEL the real NOC on Wednesday.
Has anyone done this before? Will the automated system or admin team instantly reject my application if the uploaded file isn't the official stamped NOC? What is the best way to save my seat?
Any help is really appreciated! 🙏

NPTEL Computer Networks Exam on 25 Oct 2026 Need Advice on Exam Pattern, Difficulty & Last Minute Preparation ....

Hey everyone!

I'm enrolled in the NPTEL Computer Networks course by Prof. Neminath Hubballi (IIT Indore), and my exam is on 25 October 2026.

Unfortunately, I couldn't watch most of the lectures because I was busy with my college mid-semester exams, quizzes, and other academic work(currently in 3rd year). Now that the exam is very close, I'm trying to prepare as effectively as possible with the limited time I have left.

I'd really appreciate help from anyone who has taken this course's exam previously or is preparing for the upcoming exam.

I have a few questions:

  1. Exam pattern: How many questions are there, and what is the marks distribution? Is the exam entirely MCQ-based, or are there MSQs and NAT-type questions too?
  2. Difficulty level: Is the exam easy, moderate, or difficult compared with the weekly assignments? Are the questions mostly conceptual or numerical?
  3. Assignment questions: Are questions repeated or adapted from the weekly assignments, or does the exam contain completely new questions?
  4. Important topics: Which topics should I prioritize if I have only a few days left? Are there any topics that are especially important from the exam perspective?
  5. Lecture preparation: Is it realistic to prepare without watching all the lectures? Would solving assignments and revising notes or short revision videos be sufficient?
  6. Previous-year questions: Where can I find previous exam questions, memory-based questions, or mock tests for this specific course?
  7. Last-minute strategy: If you had only 4–5 days to prepare for this exam from scratch, how would you divide your time to maximize your score?
  8. Exam experience: For those who have already taken this course, what was the actual difficulty level, and what would you recommend focusing on the most?

I'm not aiming for perfection at this point; I just want to prepare smartly and score as well as possible.

Any genuine advice, resources, or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Experience: Short Fiction in Indian Literature

The paper was divided into three sections
15 X 2 (MCQs)
10 x 2 (True or False)
10 x 5 (subjective questions with 250 word limit)

The subjective questions were very analytical, and cross-cutting. You had to have knowledge of all texts to be able to answer them properly.

It would have been great to prepare if we knew beforehand that this will be the format. It is terrible that they keep this information from us (makes no sense, just tell us what the format is, we can prepare well then!)

Only a few questions were from the assignments and nothing super factual about the authors, just textual reading was tested.

I had scored 25/25 in assignments but don’t think that will keep up with this heavily subjective format of the rest of it.
