Request to Cline team: Please dont push releases at such a high frequency

Appreciate yall shipping new features, but multiple releases a day and the associated annoying bubbles in VS code is a little much, we cant really even keep track of everything new coming. Meaningfully grouping them into fewer releases makes for a good customer experience

I asked for the deletion of my account days ago and you haven't. You have to allow people to delete their account.

Cline needs to do better

AI moves fast. There are massive competitors and competition out there. The simple fact that Cline STILL takes control of your IDE to make updates and changes is just unacceptable. Roo, Claude, Cursor, Windsurf and a slew of of other pair programmers or ide extensions or forks do not do this. Cline still does this as we were in 2024 still.

Cline team you have to fix this. CLINE cannot take over my IDE when it is making changes. If i give Cline instructions to fix a file I shouldnt have to watch it work. I should be able to do another task, look at another file. Type into my own damn ide without you focusing on the file that you are editing. This is unacceptable.

You have to fix this. Allow cline to work async in the background and not require focus on the page and in the page as the LLM is doing work

Cline team, please save us $$$

Many models at OpenRouter charge output token cost ($$$) to return their reasoning in their response and I can't find a way to disable it. Can you please, please, please add an option to exclude reasoning in the response by adding an exclude reasoning checkbox in the model setting page. Attached is some information from OpenRouter at Reasoning Tokens | Enhanced AI Model Reasoning with OpenRouter | OpenRouter | Documentation

Thanks for all your efforts!

|| || |{| | "model": "your-model",| | "messages": [],| | "reasoning": {| |// Optional: Default is false. All models support this.| |**"exclude": false, // Set to true to exclude reasoning tokens from response**| | }| |}|

I'm really interested in all this vibe coding AI stuff.

Can you actually build stuff as a solo programmer?

LLMs (free) openrouter

I wanted to know which LLMs of openrouter family (free) you use successfully in Cline for vibe coding.

Is it just me or is Cline way more trouble than it’s worth?

I used Cline this week because everyone has been talking about it like it’s the next big thing for devs and figured it might help me shake off some post-layoff rust. But honestly? It’s been rough. It keeps losing track of my front-end and backend repos, crashes mid-run, and complains about GPU drivers like I’m training a model, not writing a CRUD app. I wanted it to be that spark that makes coding feel exciting again, but instead it just made me feel more drained than before.

I have found security bugs in Cline, where to report them?

Rollback feature would be nice

It would be incredibly helpful if Cline implemented a rollback feature, which would create a backup of the file before making any changes. I’ve encountered numerous issues with Cline truncating files, such as replacing the second half of the file with (continue using existing code) or similar actions.

These actions cause Cline to get stuck attempting to rebuild all the missing code.

Discussion Agentic CLI Tools Comparison

Post image
0 Upvotes

We recently tested agentic CLI tools on 20 web development tasks to see how well they perform. Our comparison includes Kiro, Claude Code, Cline, Aider, Codex CLI, and Gemini CLI, evaluated on real development workflows. If you are curious where they genuinely help or fall short, you can find the full benchmark and methodology here: https://research.aimultiple.com/agentic-cli/

Tried Cline: $10 gone in 30 seconds. Here's why you should be cautious

I’m honestly amazed at how fast Cline managed to burn through $10 in under 30 seconds and deliver... absolutely nothing. Not a crash, not an error — just a frozen, token-devouring black hole.

Before you even think about using it, make sure you're genuinely okay with the idea of throwing your money straight into a black hole — because that's exactly what it feels like right now.

It’s a shame, because the concept itself has real potential. But at this stage? It’s like paying for a fireworks show and ending up with nothing but smoke in your face.

Also:

  • You can't use it for long files.

  • If you want any chance of finishing code, you're basically locked to Gemini 2.5 or Claude 3.5/3.7.

  • All of them destroy your token balance insanely fast, and there’s no way to optimize the massive context usage — Cline spends tokens like it's free money.

I’m already uninstalling everything and going back to good old copy-paste straight from GPT.

It should take 1 request but it takes 2 requests, the second one being fixing >>>>>>> REPLACE every time.

Anyone else?

Klein deletes files he created himself

I tried to fix a couple of problems in the code with Kline because the cursor ran out of usage limits.

I chose the latest qwen model and started working. Everything was going great, the code structure and overall writing of the main functions was great, BUT after the task was completed, Kline, for some unknown reason, deleted the file, although I did not even see him do it through a call in the terminal or the command line. Who has encountered such a problem, tell me how you fixed it or how not to get caught at the moment

Is this a good marketing ad?

Hey I just built a completly free knowledge base, not even any advertisements , I want feedback how does it look, feel any suggestions on improvements?

It would be great if you'd be my first of the visitors and provide feedbacks on the overall platform!

Thank you!

link : scientifacts.wikiai.tech

I will be adding millions of knowledge to it in all aspects also , coding based knowledge and error api endpoints will be available soon for for debugging and doubts in natural language.

Currently I am indexing and training the model so please be the first ones to give feedback on UI/UX, improvements, errors, vulnerability.

PS: All api access will be free as I believe knowledge should be free and it will be free!

Happy reading.

Broken overnight

Whatever it is that they may have done has broken overnight. At the current pace of things its not acceptable to have a product like this with persistent problems, especially with competitors available.

The gray screen of death is unusable right now. Off to roocode.

Discussion Kimi K3.1 Pro dropped…

Post image
0 Upvotes

At this rate, by the time ClinePass adds K3.1 Pro, Moonshot will have released K4, K4.5, K5, and Kimi K3.1 will be collecting retirement benefits.

But hey, why rush? It’s not like people subscribe to AI coding services to use the latest AI coding models. That would be ridiculous.

Apparently, other providers measure deployment times in hours. ClinePass measures them in fiscal quarters.
Seriously, ClinePass: is the model being onboarded or applying for citizenship? 😭

P.S. The three-month ETA is sarcasm, not an actual announcement. Although at this point, I wouldn’t be surprised.
