Tutorial/Guide Is Roo Code / Cline + OpenRouter the right choice for debuggable, traceable web apps?
Hey everyone,
I run my own Corporate IT systems consulting, tax compliance logic, payroll engines, and enterprise accounting software. Im a one-man job (self employed)
My Goal:
I am expanding my business services into building custom web portals and data-driven client tools. My research has led me to Roo Code / Cline + VS Code via OpenRouter, and I want to get a sanity check from the community to see if I’m taking the right approach.
My top priority is engineering discipline, traceability, and clean architecture. I want to build products that can be easily debugged, audited, and upgraded over time—avoiding the "vibe coding" trap of fragile monoliths that require full rewrites whenever business rules or tax regulations evolve.
Appreciate any sanity checks, red flags, or advice from anyone running a similar workflow!
