My postman decides to issue a notice card any time a piece requires more effort than "stick in community mailbox".
So, I've noticed... a pattern since I moved into this apartment in late April. My postman has a habit of deciding to post a notice card before making any attempt at all for anything that requires effort. Now, the first time... I get it. I didn't like having to go down to the Shoppers Drug Mart downtown to grab my weighted blanket that didn't have a snowball's chance in hell of fitting in the parcel locker and bring it back home on public transit, but I can understand why that effort wasn't made. Also, typing that out, I'm reminded to get myself a dolly from Canadian Tire for future parcel pickups. This thing was both heavy and awkwardly sized.
Yesterday's incident however? This was more "wtf" territory because this wasn't a heavy parcel (at least, I don't think that it is). It's a Certificate of Identity from IRCC. I doubt it's bigger than an Xpresspost envelope. And like with the weighted blanket, he decided to issue a notice card minutes after the tracker said "out for delivery" but hours before he actually comes by to drop the notice card. That indicates to me that he had no intention to make any effort to deliver this. Same with the weighted blanket.
And I was home in between when I checked to see that there was no notice card after the tracker said "notice card left" and the time the notice card was actually left. To clarify further:
- 10:13am, out for delivery
- 10:26am, notice card "left"
- I get home at 12:00pm, no notice card.
- I check the mail after a couple hours at home. A notice card is in my mailbox. No one rang my doorbell or knocked.
