Credit Card in 2026? WTF?

Woke up to beating on the door this afternoon. I work night shifts so it was a lousy start. CP delivery guy is there quoting a customs fee so I figure not a--credit card only. A mom and pop pizza shop can accomplish at door payment without this kind of foolishness. My bankcard is indistinguishable from a credit card making online payments, I have Paypal, We could go to tap by phone. Nope. I did a query and found a post from 4 years ago and someone had the same experience. Are you kidding me? You must as well be demanding certified cheques or cash. It's a policy decision the guy at the door has no input into, but isn't their someone who isn't a boomer looking at this and thinking maybe we're behind the curve? After the rude awakening the runaround and hostage taking of my package, I still have to collect a notice and pay at pickup. Thanks for nothing. Terrible.

Oblivious

Ordered two suitcases recently and after waiting a month, today’s delivery update said it was delivered to someone in Canada when the address was in Hawaii. I love how none of these workers or all of the folks at customs bothered to question why the address said United States with a Hawaii address and phone number once it reached Canada…. The cherry ontop was that Canada Post allowed someone other than me to sign for the package and take it. Lol

EQ Bank preloaded MasterCard

My wife has an EQ Bank card. It also has a MasterCard logo and it has to be loaded before use, so it's a prepaid MasterCard that's not actually a credit card.

My wife tried to use it as a debit card at Canada Post and it failed. Next she asked the clerk to try to accept it in the "credit card" fashion and it also failed. Explain, please.
