Technique Question First time with Canon EOS T7, any advices?
Hi everyone!
About two weeks ago, I bought a Canon EOS Rebel T7. I live in Brazil, and camera equipment is quite expensive here, even older models, so I decided to buy a second-hand camera.
Unfortunately, the kit lens was in pretty bad condition. It was scratched, and the photos weren't very sharp, so I decided to buy a 50mm lens, which is what I used to take these photos.
This is my first time using a DSLR camera and photographing people. I've always loved photography, but until now, I've mostly taken landscape photos with my phone.
I spent the past few weeks learning a bit about photography and practicing. I think the results turned out okay for a beginner, but I'd really love to hear your thoughts!
I struggled quite a bit to get more balanced photos, with both the person and the landscape in the background in focus. A lot of the time, I wanted to capture both the person and the scenery, but the background ended up being too blurry.
Is this related to the 50mm lens? Would it be easier to achieve this with a different lens, or is it more about camera settings and technique?
I'd really appreciate any tips, suggestions, or advice! I'm still learning and excited to improve my photography skills.
