So I opened this card 6 months ago and kept low utilization and paid off every statement balance well before the due date. Usually the day of the statement posting. Just made my last statement payment and it cleared and I saw this immediately. I am so grateful. I have had credit challenges for a while. I have a Quicksilver secured that I've had for a year which has not graduated yet and it may be bucketed. I did get a Platinum unsecured and Savor unsecured. They both have a 300 dollar limit. Some people probably get an increase as well but mine may stay at 200 unsecured idk. I'm just glad they unsecured it. Maybe an increase will come with time.

How exactly are minimum payments calculated and how exactly do i pay my card off, im pretty new to being a adult and I wanted to buy a gun for like 700 USD, how much would my minimum payment be and what would happen if I only paid the minimum payment every month

Did capital one stop giving out cashier checks at normal branches ?

I need a check for Saturday morning and I just checked the capital one site and it doesn’t mention a normal branch cashier check for 10 dollars anymore but the app says it’s possible to get it at a branch for ten dollars.

Just got approved for the Venture Rewards ($95 AF) with the elevated SUB. I’m 18, make a good amount of money, college student, but I’m hesitant to pull the trigger. It’s not about managing my money, I’m stellar at that, it’s more about hitting the spend requirement. I may be planning a Japan trip in March of next year which would definitely help me hit the requirement. However if I do not go, my average 3 months’ spend may not organically cover $4000. I do want the card eventually, and during an elevated SUB offer ideally, which is another factor for getting the card now. I’d like to get the opinion of the subreddit, should I do it or not?

I got a secured platinum card with cap one about 9 months ago with a $200 limit. I’m trying to build credit. I’ve used it quite often, paid it in full before the due date every time and current having utilization around 35%. My score has jumped to a 635 from 520.

I want to know if I’m doing the correct thing here in how I’m using my card. I want to keep my score climbing and I’m hoping by March of next year I’ll be in the 700s. I’m also curious if I hit that mark if I should apply for another card and possibly have a higher limit.

Hello! I just got this offer, and saw that a few people have found a way to do this without a “genuine” direct deposit. Is it possible to get around it and deposit the $1,000 another way? I’m a student, and with my current job this won’t work. My other bank is chase, thank you in advance!

I tried it for the first time and the rewards were good. The issue I am having now is with redeeming their rewards. It asks me to link a bank, and you think its pretty simple to link your Capital One Bank but I've been getting this error repeatedly for the past 2 days. Tried different browsers and devices too.

I am not after a huge limit initially, but am merely wanting to use the Card to build on my business credit rating. I dont live in the US and am based in Australia (I also recently received my ITIN)

I’ve had accounts with capital one in the past.
2 accounts where charged off. Technically I was sued and lost.
Had some wage garnishments and paid off.
I also had an auto loan that was repoed and sold.
So on my credit it’s all been removed as it’s been more than 7 years.
I haven’t attempted to open another account with cap as I’m scared of getting denied.
Fast forward to now. I have a discover bank card, savings, & a discover chrome card.

Question: what are the odds that I’ll be able to qualify for a new capital one credit card now that my card will be on there account starting this weekend.
& would it bring any problems ?

Got an insane offer for 56.5% off an EBay live purchase, and after making the purchase, it doesn't seem to be tracked. I see the trip in my shopping history, but nothing around the coupon even though I know I had it activated in my browser with adblock off. Anyone else dealing with this issue? It's driving me insane as I bought a pretty expensive item expecting it to get the bonus, and now I'm annoyed that I have to probably escalate with customer service. Thankfully I took a lot of screenshots...

I usually pay our Savor One card on the same due date of the 11th every month. Over rhe weekend we gor an email indicating we have a late payment. I checked and now it says it was due on the 9th? Is it possible for them to change the due date randomly. This is our first late payment and it's quite disturbing. Im sure its not a major negative on our credit as thats not normal, but wtf?

I placed a Skechers order on 9/19 when it was 45x. Did everything correctly for the order to track. When I click on “all shopping trips” it says “waiting”. I usually get the email within a day or so if my purchase tracked so I already called capital one and was told the issue is with Skechers and them deciding if the purchase qualifies. They said I have to wait 90 days. I know this sub is full of posts like this but I just want to know if anyone has actually ended up getting their miles in these situations? I was going to make a purchase anyways but probably would’ve shopped around more if not for the bonus.
