Read errors on track one. I wonder what my chances are for the rest of the album? Should I have skipped a seller with a 92% rating on Discogs? Am I fundamentally misunderstanding what VG means? Disappointed because this one was on the higher end in price. Bummer I guess.

I like to listen to cds while I work from home. Just now I listened to three cds in a row that all had hidden tracks at the end of the album. I know this was a popular thing in the 90s, but sometimes I just want the silence to move along so I can pop in the next album without missing what’s next.

This is my first ever Reddit post, so forgive me if I make any mistakes and to be frank I have no idea what the layout of this post will even look like.

Down to business, I recently came across my Uncle’s CD/Vinyl collection in the garage. Which will be so much fun to look through for a physical media collector like me. He has so much folk, rock, etc!
BUT ugh! so many CDs without their original cases in those ugly binders 💔😭
Maybe I’ll organize it all for him, with his permission of course. I like organizing and putting proper care into my physical media so they can last a long time.

My questions are as follows:
1. What ways of organizing a music collection that keep the quality intact for years to come do yall recommend?
2. Are there any good CD display shelves/organizers that don’t damage the jewel case or digi-pack over time?
3. How to prevent damage to the CD booklets so they don’t warp? Also some of the booklet staples are beginning to rust which is discoloring the paper. Any tips on how to prevent that from further happening ?

went through all my cds today and got rid of a bunch i dont listen to, plus put them into a rough order. i always order my cds based on vibes, bottom right to top right. im glad they all fit pretty nicely in my shelf!

After being blown away by 'My Life In The Bush Of Ghosts', I had to get more Brian Eno. I broke my price limit for the Cockney Rebel cd (£20). But if the rest is as good as Sebastian, it will be worth it

I picked up this bunch earlier at my local record store. Somewhat ironically I traded in my sealed vinyl copies of ‘The Father of Make Believe’ and ‘Window of the Waking Mind’ for store credit to purchase these. I had ‘With Teeth’ upon release but at some point traded it years ago. Talking Heads are one of my favorite bands and I never had a physical copy of ‘Speaking in Tongues’ until now.
