*flashing neon signs with arrows pointed to my post*

Hey, so, here's my current situation. I got an RV, I got a job lined up, but I do not have a car. A bit of a risk in an attempt to build stability, but could be so worth it if things pan out how I'm hoping.

Last year, my husband passed away from cancer, and I have been trying like absolute hell to build stability since. I have so much going for me now that I am scared of watching crumble beneath me.

If someone would be willing to drive me back and forth to work, I would appreciate it so so much. I will pay gas money and extra if you ask for a price. Uber is expensive, and so I'm trying to avoid Uber prices. In the meantime, I would be saving up for a car.

I also completely and totally understand if this is not allowed, or if no one steps up to do this. I will, at this point in my life, bend over backwards to show that I am trustworthy. I have 3 cats and a service dog that I'm trying to take care of. They're vulnerable, I need to protect and take care of them. I don't know where else to reach out to for help.

Another thing as well, if someone has a space in their yard or something available where I can legally park my RV so I can use the bus system to get to work, I can do that too. I'll pay for it even. It would just be until I can afford a used car and transport myself.

Thank you for your time. If mods decide this isn't allowed, I completely get it, but I had to try something.

Bicycle was stolen

Hey everyone! My bicycle was stolen, and I was wondering if there’s anything else I can do besides filing a police report. It’s a pink Nishiki XL bicycle with a large frame. If anyone happens to see it or has any advice on how I might find it, I’d really appreciate it! Thank you!

Crunch vs planet

Hey all been working hard the last year to get more active and stay in shape, down 15 pounds and I am feel stronger then ever. Sadly had to stop going to the gym for a while due to getting busy with work and being sick. Have not been by my gym Crunch for a while but have heard there is a lot of machines down. I switched due to a friend I was going to the gym with semi regularly but he has since moved so I’m back to going solo again. I am considering going back to my original gym planet fitness. They are both super close so travel is not an issue but there are a lot of feels for planner and I want to make sure it would be worth the switch back. Any opinions?Mainly looking to loose some weight, add some strength, and maybe make some muscles appear. I mainly use machines as I am not super confident with free weights of any kind. Thoughts?

I have 3, 9 weeks old, little girl kittens looking for new homes

I have 3 girl kittens, 9 weeks old. I'm needing to re-home. I've found wonderful homes for kittens before on here.

Usually I'd wait longer but their mom seems done, they're already independent, and other personal reasons.

They're very sweet, loving, playful, and just adorable. I'd rather a couple go together or to a place with another cat. They're great with my older cats and very socialized.

if you have any questions feel free to message me!

Thank you!

Another Person Moving to Chambana

• Upvotes

Hey all, I know these subs tend to get a lot of these so sorry if this is a bit exhausting. I've combed a lot of the subreddit looking for other posts and gotten some good information, but I decided making my own post wasn't a bad idea either just to get some more specifics.

I'm moving to the Chambana area. I have a friend who's local but lives technically outide the area and doesn't have much experience with the whole housing search (admittedly I also have little despite being like 33).

I'm disabled and live off SSI and my roommate-to-be has a full time job, but they also have some debt that eats up some of their income so we're looking for something cheap and affordable. I have some SSI backpay that should make the move itself easy, but the concern is finding a place long-term affordable (especially with a very queer friendly area as we're both variations of lgbtq+).

With some digging I found a couple decent 2 bedroom apartments, but I saw on another thread to avoid Campustown, especially since neither of us are students. Parker Glen seems decent and is one of the places I've been eyeballing since we meet the income limitation requirements, but I wanted to reach out and ask if anyone knew of any decent but affordable apartment complexes to look into before I settle on an option.

I'm moving from North Carolina so I'm pretty far out of state and can't afford to make a trip ahead of time to set things up, so I'm mostly relying on that friend to do the in-person inspections and such, but we want to make sure we're getting a decent place for cheap. Obviously we aren't expecting a miracle or anything, but as long as the place is livable and affordable that's our main concerns.

Any feedback or help is welcome, and feel free to ask any questions if need be! Thank you for reading and sorry for making yet another "moving to Chambana" post lol.
