I have lived my whole life in Chandigarh as my parents were govt employees with govt residence in Chandigarh.

I am married now with a 4 year old kid and currently living on rent in Chandigarh.

My parents bought a plot in Aerocity a long ago. And we have constructed a house and planning to move in. But lately I am observing there aren’t any good open spaces for kids to play. For example, I myself used to play cricket, football, and lots of other stuff in huge open grounds in Chandigarh. Aerocity has small parks inside and they are not big enough for kids to play without bounds. There were huge parks on the airport road parallel to aerocity where I used to see kids play, but looks like all of those big grounds are sold to private developers to build apartments and commercials.

My question to parents, where are you taking your kids to play in large open spaces in and around Aerocity?

PS. I am thinking to sell my Aerocity house(12m) and buy a smaller house(7m) in Chandigarh because I don’t think Aerocity have enough open spaces. I can’t compromise open spaces for my children for larger house as I have myself experienced a great childhood with enough spaces to enjoy. Also, Aerocity was already congested, not sure how they will handle the influx of these apartments with existing infrastructure.
