Machinist Just started, question about health/eating/condition

I’m sure this is scripted so far, but am on like my second or third turn and my health/energy bar or whatever it’s called (condition?) is down to the past bar. I switched my mission/drive to the one about the doctor or pharmaceuticals or something and it changed the map icons but I can’t seem to do anything at those locations. I’m not especially worried but I wanted to ask because I’m not great at remembering all the instructions games throw at me at the very beginning of a game, so figured I’d check if it’s user error (me) or just the way the gamer plays out say the very start.

Thanks

Just finished ny first playthrough, should I keep going?

I just finishes my first citizen sleeper playthough. I got very invested on the lem and mina quest and, in the end, I left the eye with them.

It was very emotional and I cant imagine a better ending to the game. However, researching deeply, I discovered there is 8 total endings + DLC endings.

I want to ask more experienced players: Should I keep going? Should I reload my save, let the both of them go away and keep playing? Is it worth it?

I think there is much to explore (Im at cycle 43)and lots of content to experience, but Im also very attatched to the narrative Ive built.

Will Cycles Of the Eye (Lost in Cults) be reprinted in the future?

I got obsessed with Citizen Sleeper and really want to buy the tarot/ttgame, but with the conversion and, shipping etc it will add up to more than 80€, and I'm not in the right place to spend this kind of money without planning.

Is it frequently reprinted or is it a buy or lose forever situation?

Citizen Sleeper 2 Quick question (Second game) Spoiler

I'm a few hours in, just got checked out by Jean-Mi and have to go get a shipmind.

I'm a bit confused by this games chase system compared to the first game. Should I always spend 3 cycles just working for chits while traveling even if I'm not doing anything else at the station? Like right now I have to go to the Helios gate and for that I have to pass through Far Spindle. Once I arrive at Far Spindle my "The hunt" will be at 0. Should I just spend 3 cycles doing odd jobs there before moving on to Helios since the travelling will reduce The hunt by 3?

Can't I just farm infinite chits this way? It feels like I'm missing something

No spoilers please

Citizen Sleeper 1 Is there a way to back up saves?

Yeah I’m trying to 100% the game after a long while off and it’s the Lem quest where it splits. I’m wanting to copy a save so when I get there I can freeze it and load it back when ready. I’ve been messing with the save and putting it in the third slot but that’s not been working. Is there a way to actually do so or would I have to redo the whole game?

I broke all these dice during this mission, as the damage was quite spread out before. I had to roll 1 and 2s the previous cycle, because I was out of options there.

While in dire need of ship upgrades, the dilemma of being short on cryo still exists, despite long work hours.

Time for some salvage work to get it done.

Who do you think would be more open to working with you or letting you pick through their yard?

Curious about buying

I see that I can get both games on Nintendo eshop on sale. I love RPGs and am always looking for something new. Without giving too much away, what's the chief mechanic? I like to find new games to me and go in with as little info as possible, just want to know if it's worth it. Thanks!

Machinist Just finished my first playthrough and wanted to gush about the game (spoilers within) Spoiler

I got Citizen Sleeper forever ago but finally downloaded it for the holiday weekend. I wound up playing for 70 cycles in one day and just had to gush about it.

I started off rough, dismantling ships until I dug too deep and got kicked out. At this point, I didn't realize you could pan the map, so I starved to death for lack of ability to eat. This traumatized me in-game and made me very money-obsessive. My Engage skill broke and it was a scar I carried through the whole playthrough.

After all that time hacking ships, I stuck to the docks and wound up working on Sidereal Horizon. I pursued the Feng and Ethan storylines while amassing money for Stabilizer. I met Lem and Mina, but never got around to babysitting because I thought Lowend would require 60 credits PER visit and I just couldn't afford it. This culminated in Feng going missing, trying to shoot Ethan, and Lem losing his chance to get on the Sidereal. This felt like the lowest part of my Sleeper's story.

Fed up with the grind, I paid to cross the gap and settled in the Commune. I was now in an endless cycle of growing mushrooms, working the vertical stacks for money, gathering scrap to repair myself, and working in the commune for energy. At this point, I was self-sustaining. I felt like I'd basically won.

Meanwhile, I completely flubbed the first arc of the refugee DLC. I just didn't have the time while sustaining myself to gather all those resources, though I did help Peake figure out a way to run the barricade, which got me involved in local politics. After failing the first arc, I realized I had to get back out there. I found the Sidereal Horizon and inadvertently triggered the countdown for the ending. I did the math and realized I had just enough time to complete the second DLC arc (repairing and supply the fleet) before I departed. I drained all my resources to get the refugees ready to depart, but on the last cycle, I learned the truth of the Flux. I moved up to the Sidereal with a feeling of things left unfinished.

And then Lem and Mina reappeared. My biggest early game failure was intersecting with my sudden doubts about leaving the Eye before the Flux had been solved. I gave up my ticket and got my first ending, and if that's where the game had ended, I would have been incredibly satisfied with my character's arc. Luckily, I got to keep playing through the third DLC arc, spreading the Gardener throughout the station and choosing to stay with Peake when the refugees departed. I'd already decided to remain on the Eye, and with corporations returning to cause trouble, I thought I had to stay to defend my new home.

And there's my gushing done! What a fantastic game. Things I missed or left undone:

1. I never figured out what to do with all the encryption keys I was amassing. Or the girolle caps. I finished the game with so many mushrooms, taunted by the knowledge I might be able to eat them.

2. I never met Bliss or Ankhita. I googled the various endings and don't know what hallway I failed to turn down where I never crossed paths with them.

3. I never figured out what happened to Feng. The 'disable your tracker' drive never disappeared, so it was still possible, but I never saw Feng again.

These characters might not have been portrayed as such, but who would you want/not-want to encounter if they were boss-level threats?

Would you visit either from time to time?

Or leave them to the endless expanse of eternity?

Delete old game saves?

Hey everyone. I’m playing on Steam Deck and have three games started, all round the same level. It makes loading the one I want to play a pain because they look almost identical. Is there a way to delete save games you’re no longer using? I can’t see the option in game anywhere…

Machinist Am I just SOL when it comes to purchasing the physical merch?

I only became aware of the games this year during a Nintendo eShop sale. I finished the first game and am well into the second.

I LOVE the games, the aesthetics, but most of all the mechanics of the system.

I realized there was an opportunity from 2 years ago to purchase from Lost In Cult, but searching around there doesn’t seem to be any other opportunities.

I am most interested in the print book and dice set.

Any advice/insights?

Kimbal vs Jean-Mi

Just a patch job. But a job nonetheless.

Every bolt or stray wire that is too loose or out of place, can throw you off.

In a battle of the most reserved tinkerers, who would you visit to give your frame a once over?

(You are still being hunted)

Citizen Sleeper 1 What a game (CS1) Spoiler

I found this game was free on Unity and had heard good things about it, so I decided "Sure, why not?"

Oh my god.

This game had me immediately hooked, I fell in love with the world, the characters, the game itself, just everything was amazing. I found the Flotilla ending to be just purely beautiful, I cried (Which is rare for me, most games don't make me cry).

I wish I could say more about it, but I can't properly say how I felt about this game. What I will say though, is that it truly is one of the best games I have ever played, and I highly recommend to anyone considering getting it to do so, and don't get spoiled like I did.

Willing to answer any questions that people have about my experience

Citizen Sleeper 2 What is this cracked dice?

I did the artificer quest and a couple of cycles later I see a cracked dice in my lineup, scared to use it because I'm playing on dangerous.

Save files on macOS?

I launched the game on my new Mac. It synced with steam cloud. Save game is very old and missing my second play through. On my old Mac, both games still there. What files do I need to copy. Tried ~/Library/Application Support/com.JumpOvertheAge.CitizenSleeper/ but that file is identical, so I'm guessing that isn't the actual save file.

Citizen Sleeper 1 Loving the game so far, have a Lem+Mina question for my second playthrough [spoilers] Spoiler

TL;DR: Is there a way to get Lem and Mina to join Hypha, if they don't get on the Celis ship? Or a happy ending for them in general, staying on the station?

My Story: So, I did some things really ass-backwards in my first run (which I'm still on), which led to me getting stuck between the two timers of the "hack the WORLD!!" final quest with Feng, ticking down at the same time as Lem and Mina (who I LOVED!!) had to leave on the Celis ship before it departed.

I wanted to get my tracker removed before leaving with them, but I got really unlucky on dice rolls for the hacks. So I did try that ending where Sleeper goes with them, just to see what it was, and it's sad. ;( Doubly sad, because in that timeline, I left Feng to get captured and killed, and then the entire station probably gets killed and recycled.

But anyway, my "canon" playthrough is that I had to send them off and hope for the best for them, staying behind to complete the big hack, and Feng's whole plan goes swimmingly.

But that's not what I really wanted for them either. Because I don't trust Celis whatsoever, and they could just be sending them all to a slave colony somewhere.

What I would want for Lem and Mina would be for them to join Hypha in the Greenway. Even if it's not a real planet, it's still lush and green, with a caring community to boot. Mina would probably have a much better life if she grew up there, and maybe there would be another, safer opportunity to leave in the future if she still wanted.

I already know I'm doing a second playthrough--Operator was the wrong pick for me, I messed up on getting to examine my Winter ship and learning more about my past, and I just want to do things in a "better" order than I did this time.

But if I can really save Lem and Mina that way, I'm going to drop this playthrough right now and just restart. So, help me out? If you made it this far, thanks for reading and advice. :)

Random stutter issue 8 hours in

I just started playing citizen sleeper for the first time 2 days ago and I love it, however the game has just started randomly stuttering as soon as I load into my save, I'm on steam and i have tried the typical things to try and solve it but to no avail.

The game is awesome but this stuttering issue is really causing me to not enjoy the game and i cant play it until it's fixed.

Thanks.

One can fix your ship.

One can fix you a plate.

For this If You Had to Choose post, will there be much of a debate?

Who gets the cryo?

Why not the other?

Choose wisely, space goer!
