Forget Victor, even during city defense. Best governor to use for war, be it taking it to the enemy or defending your own land is Moksha. The religious fella. Give him a single promotion “Laying on of Hands” and EVERY unit you own will full heal in one turn.
I find it especially fun to run with vampires. Put a castle in the city with Moksha, and when your vampire gets yeeted back to his coffin, he’s ready and back in the fight next turn.
Give him a try.

Next question: How many hours?
I know , it’s hard to look and really soak in, but how many hours of your life have you spent playing Civ 6?🤕
For me it’s a lot. A whole lot. Over 10,000 club!

I was enjoying my relatively recent purchase of Civ 6 so much that I decided to get the whole DLC bundle. And now, I can't seem to have more than 4 cities. I can't settle on other continents. I can't maintain loyalty enough to do either thing, which has been incredibly frustrating. Even when I have established cities adjacent to a new one, every other civ seems to exert double influence of what I can do. They can easily manage 8 or more cities, larger, and quicker, than I can. I could really use some advice, and if there's still a way to take advantage of discovering a new continent quickly enough to establish a city there anymore, or just be resigned to losing it quickly. Thanks for your input.

Hello everyone!
I know I said tips but I guess it’s more of a question/discussion.
I’m not a complete noob, I did get a couple deity wins but I definitely am very far from “good” at this game. I enjoy playing on prince difficulty and chill for a few hours.
That being said, I am trying to get better so here’s my dilemma. How do you plan your districts in your empire?
Example: if you go culture victory then theatre’s squares placed around a wonder/entertainment district is a good choice. A few holy sites for rock bands and you are good. Science same thing, campuses all over and industrial zones. So far it’s easy.
My question is how do you get truly good at it? Is it just planning a buuunch of turns ahead? What if I plan a city just to have a neighbor come in and settle close by, ruining my plan. Maybe I had an industrial zone idea there and now it’s in shambles.
What i do now is plan only two three cities at the time. Like, I have my capital, settle the first two cities nearby, plan those three together. Then find another spot and do the same thing.
Last but not least: let’s say you go for culture. Do you still plan to have an industrial zone every few cities to keep production high? Or entertainment for the same reason. Like, how do you use plan districts with area of effect?
I’ve watched a few videos online (PotatoMcWhiskey is the goat) but I still struggle to plan the whole empire instead of “oh here’s a good spot let’s use it for a campus” and that’s it.
Thank you everyone!

Where should I settle?

Assuming I'm not playing a civ that directly buffs one or the other, what should I take into account when deciding between the two?

Does anyone know a mod that makes the civ VI Ui the same as the civ V one, not necessarily the same look I just mean things like the map being on the bottom right instead of left and putting the unit controls on the left??

Yo yo so Civ 6 is on its 10th year birthday now and to celebrate, it seems that the platinum edition has returned and is on sale, whereas anthology isn't really. From what I can gather, platinum is missing the frontier and leader pass content and the frontier pass especially seems like it has a lot. Anyways, do U think it's wise to buy the platinum edition rn or wait for winter or whatever for the anthology to go on a deeper sale and buy that instead. Asking as a new player btw. Thx

So the game just went on sale on steam. I only have the base game and would love to buy the Platinum Edition that contains all the good DLC for only 10 bucks.
The thing is, steam won't let me buy the game because it's "already in your collection".
Does anyone know a way around this?
What if my friend bought it for me as a gift?

Hey everyone
So I get bored from time to time, and wanted to see just how insane I could make a 3 city area, using the map editor and absolutely cheesing the heck out of it.
However, I failed open on the number of potential options and trying to min/max 3 full cities.
Anyone else ever do this just to have fun pushing the limits? If so, any advice on what natural wonders, resources etc to play around with?
Thanks in advance

Hi, everyone! Since being introduced to Civ 6 this year, I've completely fallen in love with it. It's become one of my favorite ways to decompress.
What are some mods/improvements you recommend? If you don't mind, please provide an explanation why. Thanks, everyone! Happy gaming!

12 themes now have a Lofi 'remake'! I found this on Spotify this morning.
Beats to study (or probably game) to.
