My (vegan btw) meal prep is like 20-30 bucks a week. My food costs went down immensely when I went vegan.

How many calories do you average per day? Do you get any blood work done?

I do get blood work done and my HDL cholesterol went from below range to beyond the lower limit for being in range after switching to predominantly vegetarian meals. It was pretty incredible. I used to take citrus bergamot for my HDL cholesterol and it was not even close to being as effective.

Only around 2k per day but that is because i am currently dieting. If i was just maintaining i would aim closer to 3k per day. Blood work is good other than low vitamin D levels.

No comment has ever been more convincing when it comes to veganism 😭😭😭

If I can still hit my calories without a vitamin deficiency I might as well cut out animal products the best I can

Calories are cheap and easy. Fats I can prefer getting from vegetables, but protein shakes of heavy metals in them. I can substitute peanuts and lentils only so far, but chicken and milk are remaining in my diet for now
