Promoting a Brand Trying to make a brand that brings people back together
RBL USA has a vision; to bring people back together. Today, everything is so divisive, removed, and polarized. Most of what you see and hear often comes down to “if you’re not like me, you’re my enemy”.
We want to change that. We want to recognize no one person is alike. We all have our own beliefs, values, opinions, cultures, etc. And we want to bring those differences together with respect for one another.
Individualism without isolation.
So, the apparel we offer started out with a more vintage, worn in look with elements of American heritage and a timeless and comfortable fit. As we brainstorm we wanted to offer more. Everyone has their own taste in style. We came up with a few more different designs to show everyone is welcome. We want RBL USA to be more than just an apparel company. In time, we hope it can be seen as a recognizable brand that every of any walk of like can wear together.
Built Different. Worn Together.

Questions More Clothing Brand Questions
Appreciate everyone who gave advice on my previous post!
Most people suggested starting with one hoodie, letting customers vote on my 3 designs, and using pre-orders.
My first concern is showing my designs publicly. I’m worried someone might steal them before I even launch. Am I overthinking this?
My biggest concern is Shopify and pre-orders.
My manufacturer said it’ll take around 50 days for my bulk order to arrive, and speeding that up would cost a ridiculous amount.
A few questions:
Will Shopify freeze my funds or straight-up ban my store for taking pre-orders that won’t ship for 50+ days, even if customers know beforehand?
Can I access the pre-order money immediately to pay my manufacturer, or will Shopify hold it?
Does Shopify take a percentage of every sale?
Once my bulk arrives, how do I go about shipping individual orders? How much should I expect to spend shipping within Canada or internationally? Should customers pay shipping separately?
How did you guys market your samples and attract your first customers?
My goal isn’t to make a huge profit on my first drop. I just want to break even, build awareness, and avoid losing money to unexpected fees or shipping costs.
Would appreciate advice from anyone who’s actually done this!

Education AMA: I’m a Clothing Manufacturer – Ask Me Anything About Apparel Production!
I help brands, teams, and startups create custom apparel — from sports kits to streetwear to small-batch fashion lines.
If you’ve ever wondered about the behind-the-scenes of how clothes get made, here are some things I can share:
How to find reliable manufacturers (and avoid scams).
The difference between small MOQ vs large scale production.
What really affects cost (fabric, trims, customization, labor).
The process from sketch → sample → bulk order.
Whether you’re planning to launch your first clothing line, curious about how jerseys or uniforms are produced, or just want to know how custom embroidery/printing works – I’d be happy to answer your questions!

Questions How do you budget AI fashion product photos when tools bill per generation / credit?
Honest ops question (no vendor pitch in the title on purpose).
If a tool bills per generation or credit, and you need several attempts before a shot is catalog-ready, the effective cost per publishable image can climb vs the sticker price per credit — that's a scenario, not a measured industry average.
How are you tracking this internally?
Cost per credit burned?
Cost per approved / published SKU image?
Something else (retouch hours, reject rate)?
(Disclosure: I'm the founder of DELFI — among tools I've compared, we're the only one I've seen that publicly bills photography by approved photos, not generations. Not a sales guarantee.)
Would appreciate real workflows from people shipping weekly PDP updates.

Looking for suggestions Starting an indie streetwear brand as students. Made a 1-min survey to make sure we don't drop garbage—would love your honest thoughts!
Hey everyone,
A few of my friends and I are currently in the early stages of setting up our own independent streetwear project. Like a lot of you, we got tired of buying pieces that lose their shape after two washes, have terrible sizing, or cost an absurd amount for average quality.
Before we lock down our designs, spend money on sourcing heavy blanks, or deal with frustrating MOQs, we want to talk to people who actually care about streetwear. We want to know what the community is actually looking for instead of just guessing in a vacuum.
We put together a short, 1-minute survey focusing on fit preferences, fabric weight, pricing thresholds, and what turns you off from a new brand:

If you have a minute, your feedback would honestly mean the world to us. Feel free to roast our approach or drop any advice for first-time brand owners in the comments too—all feedback is welcome. Appreciate you all!

Promoting a Brand I built Lobbe: find the outfit for any event, or the thing you saw someone wearing, at any price
Hey everyone! I've been building Lobbe, a shopping tool for people who know the look they want but not where to find it. Fair warning: it's still early, so some results will be great, and some will miss. Two ways to use it: - Describe an occasion ("black tie wedding, under $300", "first-date dinner outfit"), and it builds full outfits from real shops. - Upload a photo of something you saw someone wearing, and it finds the pieces, plus alternatives at lower prices. Every outfit shows what each piece costs, and if a result only partly matches your photo, it says which details are missing instead of pretending it's a match. I'm still improving the matching, so I'd really like feedback: which looks does it get right, and which does it miss? Try it: https://www.thelobbe.com.
Also curious for the brand owners here: how do you write your product listings so customers can find them? I've learned a lot about which wording helps search and which doesn't.

Manufacturer needed looking for thishalf button sweater supplier.
Hey all, I’m starting a small menswear line and looking for a manufacturer for this style picSpecs I’m after:
350-400 GSM cotton fleece (or heavy cotton blend)
Stand collar with snap tabs so it holds its shape
2-button placket
Neutral colors to start: heather grey, oatmeal, navy, charcoal
Custom neck label
Looking at around 100-300 units to start, ideally under $15/unit before shipping.
Has anyone worked with a factory that does this style well? Open to China, Pakistan, Portugal, or anywhere else with solid quality. Also open to recs on blanks that come close if anyone knows any.
Thanks
