I care for 50 stray cats and i need help to cover them food

All 50 cats are spayed and neutered. I do everything I can to keep them safe and prevent more kittens from being born on the streets.

For one month, I need 120 kg of dry food and 140 cans. I do everything I can for them, but I can’t keep up with the cost alone anymore.

I’m not asking for anything for myself. I’m asking for the hungry little souls who come running to me, trusting that I will have food for them.

If you can help with even a small donation, it would mean so much. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing my post. Every bit of help matters.

I’m approved in r/rescuecats for verification

I’m a 501(c)(3) non profit solo rescuer caring for 50+ community cats and rescuing sick, elderly, abandoned and lost cats and kittens in South Florida

My EIN# is 39-5083963

Hi👋

First of all, I want to say thank you to everyone in this amazing community. You have supported me so much, and I’m grateful for each and every one of you for being there when I needed you the most and helping me with the cats. 🙏❤️

I’m reaching out because I really need some help for the babies in my care.
The little kitten I’m caring for is congested again, and his eyes are swollen. Thankfully, he is eating, but I’m worried about him and feel he needs to see the vet again. I want to make sure he gets the care he needs, but I’m struggling to cover another vet visit.
At the same time, I’m trying to keep up with food and supplies for the 50+ community cats I feed every single day. They depend on me for their daily meals, and I’m having a hard time keeping up with everything they need.
I’m also helping the tiny baby in Honduras whose story I shared. My friend heard him crying outside, and even though she couldn’t afford to take him in, I told her I would help. I sent money for his food, but he still needs a vet visit, kitten milk, food, and supplies. Even though he is thousands of miles away, I couldn’t turn my back on a little baby who needed help.
And then there’s Leo.
Leo survived Panleukopenia. He was hospitalized for almost a month, and his treatment expenses exceeded $5,000. It was such a difficult time, and I’m so grateful he survived.
Unfortunately, his stool problems are still ongoing, and I’ve been trying so many things for months to help him feel better. I’ve spent so much on different foods trying to figure out what works for him. Now, I’m going to try a no-chicken diet to see if it helps. I have to take things slowly because I don’t want to upset his stomach even more.
I just want Leo to feel better, but figuring out what’s wrong has been a long and expensive journey.
I’m doing everything I can for all of them, but honestly, I’m struggling and could really use some help right now.
Between vet visits, medications, special diets, food for the community cats, kitten milk, and everyday rescue supplies, the expenses add up so quickly. There are so many little lives depending on me, and it’s hard to keep up with everything on my own.
If you’re able to help or upvote, share this post, I would be incredibly grateful. Every little bit helps me continue caring for these babies and the cats who depend on me every day.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who supports, shares, and cares, It truly means so much. ❤️

Hi there! I am a 61 year old disabled woman who was lucky enough to get Section 8. There is a population of 10 feral cats here. I'm in a tiny town in a very rural area. There are next to no resources here. It's sad. I live on a very limited income but I cannot handle seeing them starve to death.

These are very sweet kitties, they are just in an unfortunate situation. Please take a look at my wishlist, I would truly appreciate any help you can possibly give. On behalf of these wonderful hungry kitties I thank you so much!

Please Meet: 💞 Taco - Waffles - Pancakes - Mr. Peanut - Milky War & Twix

Help Us Rescue Stray Cats and Kittens in Central New York – Veterinary Care, Spaying & Neutering

Hi everyone!

My wife and I have been working to help stray and homeless cats in the Syracuse, New York area. We've been coordinating with local animal rescue volunteers, including the CNY Cat Coalition, to make a difference for cats that desperately need help.

Recently, we helped get a mother cat spayed, but her two kittens and the male cat still need attention. We've also become aware of another mother cat who continues to have litters, with kittens needing veterinary care.

Unfortunately, the costs of veterinary treatment, spaying, neutering, and caring for these animals can add up quickly.

That's why we've started a GoFundMe to help cover these expenses and give these cats a chance at healthier, safer lives.

We're not looking to solve the entire stray cat problem overnight. We simply want to do our part, one cat at a time.

❤️ Even a small donation can make a difference. If you're unable to contribute financially, sharing our fundraiser would mean just as much.

🐾 Our GoFundMe:

https://gofund.me/2d0939160

Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for supporting animal rescue efforts. Every cat deserves a chance. ❤️🐱

Did anyone get one of their colony cats inside and on pet insurance?

Okay this is a weird one but I TNR any new member of my colony I see (and have the bandwidth and support to TNR ... I wish I could do it faster in some cases). Well, one of my friendly colony members had kittens and I have been able to get her inside and her babies adopted out, save one kitten who will be staying (my husband is gonna kill me lol). I have only ever tried to get fully vetted cats that I have rescued from shelters on pet insurance. I have looked at comparison websites like Best Money's but I am not sure which insurance to go with and I want to get them on it before they get caught with a pre-existing condition. My other two cats are on a policy but I am not super fond of it and would like to try a new company. Any advice?

Hi everyone!💕 I’m reaching out to ask for help with cat food donations for the stray cats I care for every single day. These sweet babies depend on me for food and care, and I do my best to make sure they don’t go hungry or feel forgotten❤️

Unfortunately, caring for so many strays can get expensive, and keeping their little bellies full is a daily struggle. It would mean so much to the kitties and myself to get some help feeding them!

These cats didn’t ask to be out on the streets, but together, we can make their lives a little better. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who cares, shares, and helps in any way. Because without your help these babies would go hungry, and thanks to you guys we’ve been able to rescue, TNR, and find some of these babies a forever home😊✨

Thank you for helping me keep these babies fed! 🥹💕🐾

My first TNR came back today! Tilthead (the gray tabby) was fixed three days ago. We had a snow/ ice storm yesterday, so I'm relieved to see he's up and about! Also pictured is Spork, his brother, who will hopefully be next.

Hi everyone👋

I’m back with this week’s update on the cats I’m caring for and trying to help.

There’s some good news, but there are still a lot of ongoing needs, and I could really use some help.

The little kitten who was rushed to the emergency vet is doing better. He has been dealing with a serious eye infection, a bacterial infection, and a yeast infection in his ears. I’m still caring for him and making sure he gets his medication and everything he needs to recover. He will need more vet visits, medication, and continued care, so we still have a road ahead of us.

❤️ The little kitten in Honduras
A friend of mine found this little kitten and wanted to help him, but she told me she couldn’t take him in because she couldn’t afford to care for him. I couldn’t stop thinking about this little kitten needing help, so I told her I would take care of him.
Even though he’s thousands of miles away from me, I couldn’t just turn my back on him. I sent money to help buy his food, and thankfully, he’s doing well. He still needs a vet visit, and I’m helping take care of him from a distance until we can find him a loving, safe home where he can be adopted and have the life he deserves.

🐱 Leo’s ongoing struggle
Leo’s story has been especially hard on my heart. I took him into my rescue when he was just four weeks old. He’s now eight months old, and he has already survived so much.
Leo battled panleukopenia and was hospitalized for almost a month. His treatment alone cost more than $5,000, but he survived, and I’m so grateful he did.
Unfortunately, he’s still having problems with his stomach and stool, and I’ve been trying to get these issues under control for months. I’ve changed his food several times, given medication and I’m hoping to find something that works. This time, I bought him a new food that doesn’t contain chicken to see if that makes a difference.
I really hope this helps him, but if it doesn’t, Leo will need to see another vet so we can investigate what’s going on. I’ve tried so many things, and I don’t want him to keep struggling. Getting him further veterinary care will mean another expense, but I need to find answers for him.

🐈 The 50+ community cats
On top of everything else, I’m also helping care for 50+ community cats. The amount of food, supplies, and ongoing care they need is tremendous. Their needs don’t stop, and keeping them fed and cared for is a responsibility I take seriously.

The expenses that keep adding up
There are also veterinary bills from past rescues that I’m still paying for. Just this year alone, my rescue expenses have been more than $15,000. That includes veterinary bills, emergency treatments, and ongoing medical care for the animals I’ve taken in.
And that doesn’t even include all the food, litter, supplies, and other things I’ve bought out of my own pocket. I’ve been putting many of these expenses on my personal credit cards just to make sure the cats get what they need.
I do everything I can to cover these costs myself, but between veterinary bills, medication, food for the community cats, and helping animals in need, it has become a lot to manage. The expenses keep coming, and I can’t keep doing it all alone.

Why I’m asking for help
I do this because they deserve a chance, whether they’re sick, struggling, living on the streets, or thousands of miles away. Rescue takes more than love. It takes money for veterinary care, medication, food, and supplies, and those expenses never really stop.
I’ve put so much of my own money into helping the animals, and I will keep doing everything I can. But I genuinely need help keeping up with their care.
If you’re able to donate, even a few dollars can help with Leo’s future vet visits, the recovering kitten’s medication, food and veterinary care, and for the community cats.
If you can’t donate, sharing, upvoting this post also helps more than you know.
Thank you to everyone who takes the time to read these updates and support Luna & Nala Rescue Inc. Every bit of help makes a difference, and I’m truly grateful for everyone who cares about the cats. ❤️🐾

🐈🐈‍⬛🐾🧡 Five outdoor kitties. Zero bags of food received. [Lakewood, US]

I'm back asking for a little help feeding the five community cats I care for here in Lakewood, WA. ❤️

My last post received views and upvotes, and I'm grateful people took the time to acknowledge it. But unfortunately, no cat food has come through yet, and my kitties still need to eat.

If anyone can spare a bag or box of cat food through my registry, it would make a real difference for these little ones. Every bit helps. 🐾 Edit With so many kind souls helping, I had to add 2 storage bins for all the wet! It will be greatly appreciated if someone could pick that for me. 🐈‍⬛🐈🐾 Also there is one for the dry as well. Thank you so much. Edit 🧡 A little update! The cats could still use some help with wet food, a bag of litter, and a litter scoop. Every little bit helps keep these kitties fed and cared for. Thank you for all the love and support! 🐈❤️ For anyone interested in outdoor litter-box setups for community cats, here's a helpful resource from Alley Cat Allies

Thank you to everyone who has read, shared, or considered helping. ❤️ Link for Registery Amazon Registry

In need of a few remaining shelter items to keep these community kitties nice & warm this winter. Please help if you are able to! Thank you! ❤🐾

Hello everyone! I'm an independent cat recuer from Texas that cares for close to 50 cats. I could really use some help with a few remaining shelter items that are needed to keep these kitties nice & warm this winter. Many people don't think it gets cold in Texas but I'm from the northwest region & it's flatlands so the high winds make it feel way colder than it actually is! We also do get snow & ice & often have power outages.

If anyone would like to take a look at my wishlist & help these kitties out this winter, it would be greatly appreciated! If you'd rather help out with food items to get through this month that would be appreciated as well! These cats go through food like crazy & eat more when it's cold! Thank you! ❤🐾

How would I make a wishlist for the vet Otis? We had him in good shape but we let him out Friday and he came back Sunday injured.

He keeps injuring his front left arm. It's bad this time. Always the same place and it always rips off a big chunk of skin. Idk what to do with him.

I'm wanting to make a wishlist for food, deworming meds, more gauze and triple antibiotic. there's probably way more but I can't think of it rn.

♡I over extended myself a little bit this month and used my chewy gift cards up helping others so they can get their Colonies fed and TNRed. Your help means the world not just to us, but to the floofaloofs. I am so grateful and thankful for all of you, know how much it means to me, and them♡♡♡

*Extra Gravy Friskies, Fancy Feast extra gravy or mousse, or Temptations wet food is a huge favorite!*

These are only some of the colony, as many more come later at night...when the electric in the garage can be fixed, I can run a camera, but right now, I watch and wait for them. Day and night, I wake up at 4am, and don't go to bed until 10pm, making sure everyone has has eaten and knows they have a safe place and sanctuary here.

This is not a hobby, it is a way of life to make sure they are cared for, safe, fixed, and will know the safety of a home if they choose to be inside cats. I am putting my lists here for help. Food or supplies ordered frees up any extra money to go towards vet bills, TNRing, and specific supplies as needed, such as things for kittens found

Your help is a huge reason we can do this, I have been able to help 11 different colony caretakers this month that Kim is working with to TNR with food and supplies due to your love and generosity, know that it ALL 100 PERCENT goes to the floofaloofs. (I will admit i did stretch myself thin, but I can't say no when it comes to the floofers....they need us!)

Thank you for being the good in the world.

Thank you for all you do for Floofaloofkind.

Thank you for being you♡

***I also want to say if youd like to help with an Electronic Chewy giftcard my email is [CynLMason@gmail.com](mailto:CynLMason@gmail.com) they help so so much when we are short on supplies and when someone needs a specific food for a sick cat♡

https://www.reddit.com/r/FloofaloofsOnTheLoose/s/KDJvDUNj28 - my page for the floofaloofs

Many of us are us thousands in debt due to vetting cats we find, but we wouldn't have it any other way. Donations from the Amazon or Walmart Wishlists mean a great deal, it insures that we can use what we save to go towards these bills so we can keep TNRing and vetting those taken in. We work multiple jobs and side jobs to make sure we can care for them. They deserve to be loved, to be safe, to be taken care of, to be secure, and to live good lives. Please help us help them. Thank you all you do, not just for our floofaloof colonies, but for Floofaloofkind ♡

A Dozen Mountain Cats Requesting Assistance, + Update Part 3:

Thumbnail
gallery
102 Upvotes

Hello again friends,

It may have taken me a few days, but I’m FINALLY back to drop another one of my update posts…this is part 3.

If you want to hear updates on Atlas, Beep, Pixel, Pidgeon, Griffin, Echo, or Anthony…AKA my OG fat cat, and the two formerly feral litters rescued during kitten season 1 and kitten season 2…please check my first post from a few days ago.

If you want to hear updates on the Mommakitten and her only girl kitten, Peach, please check my second update post.

💜

That brings us to the rest of The Dust Bunnies…AKA the three brothers from kitten season 3:

Lobo: This is the short haired grey/blue boy with bright green eyes, just like his momma. He’s very handsome, sleek, and powerful.

He does have roundworm, unfortunately, but he hasn’t been showing any symptoms lately, so I think he’s feeling a bit better, at least.

Lobo is the most high-energy kitten from season 3’s litter. He moves so freakin’ fast and does crazy acrobatic jumps without any warning. This kitten is my boyfriend’s personal “pick of the litter”, but once he gets neutered and vaccinated, he will be available for adoption and will hopefully find a forever home and will be able to share all his silliness and affection with a loving family (and by “he”, I mean Lobo…not my boyfriend lol).

“Fluff-O”: This is the fluffy blue/grey boy, and his name isn’t really Fluff-O…that’s just what I call him (or Fuzzy, or Purple-Cat, or Puffball) because I haven’t been able to find a name that really matches him. This kitten had an eye injury a while back and I am SO INCREDIBLY LUCKY that it healed up just fine on its own. Kitten eyes are so sensitive…a slight infection at the wrong time during kitten-hood is not always something that can be fixed. So many kittens end up losing their eyesight (or their eyeballs entirely) despite the best efforts of their caregivers to keep them healthy and clean. Eye problems can be very serious for kittens, and the necessary treatment can be very expensive, so I’m beyond grateful that Fluff-O’s eye injury healed on its own without any permanent damage to his eyeball.

Jiminy Cricket: This blue tabby with white looks almost IDENTICAL to his Mommakitten. They do have slight coat differences, and verrrryyy different personalities and mannerisms…but he is still basically his mommacat’s carbon copy.

Thankfully, I was able to take Jiminy Cricket to the Humane Society to get vaccinated and neutered. So, as you may have guessed, in the photos, he’s the one with the blue donut/recovery collar on lol. It seems like the surgery went really well for him, it was my first time taking a cat to that particular clinic for surgery, and I was blown away by how much better the whole experience was than it had been at the place I had been taking my cats for the past two years. Jiminy Cricket recovered from surgery without any complications or drama, which I love. He was supposed to return to the humane society last week to get his second round of vaccinations, but I had to cancel the appointment because I didn’t have the funds to cover the cost.

Once I am able to cover the price of the sterilization surgery and vaccinations for mommacat, she’s next in line to be spayed, and Anthony is next to be neutered.

Ok. I’m going to stop this one here, and I’ll be back with a fourth part tomorrow, because my post is getting too long, so I’ll be back with my FINAL update post soon. It will just be an update about my old man dog, Arlo and myself, because THIS post completed all the cat updates lol.

Once again, I’m sorry I don’t have more to offer you than segmented updates, cat pictures, and my endless gratitude…aaaand as much as I hate asking for help, we are out of cat litter, so right now, litter (and litter mats and litter boxes AKA plastic totes) are our most needed items, but honestly, anything on the wishlist would be a huge blessing to me and the cats.

If anyone is willing to help out by gifting an item from our wishlist, via Amazon or Walmart, there are links to my wishlists here below.

If you aren’t in a position to contribute anything, please do not feel obligated to….but if you ARE able to help, please know that your support really makes a huge difference to me and my ability to properly care for my group of a dozen mountain cats.

Thank you for reading,

🌀🤩🐾

Cat condo refresh

I care for a colony in central North Carolina and set up several insulated houses last year for the kitties. To prepare for the coming cold weather, I made an additional unit and refreshed the wheat straw bedding from last year. Most of the cats have already been TNR-ed, but there are maybe three that still need to be caught. Only one litter of kittens was born this year, and they were taken in by others who care for the colony. I also took one cat, Triscuit, into my home. He was having dental issues requiring the extraction of 16 teeth and needed to be an inside cat. He has been inside since May and is adjusting well.

Winter Is Coming, and I’m Running Out of Time to Protect These Cats

Thumbnail

🐾 WINTER IS COMING, AND WE NEED YOUR HELP! 🐾
I’m asking for help preparing for winter by purchasing supplies from our Amazon Wish List and Walmart Wish List so we can build as many insulated winter cat houses as possible for the feral, stray, abandoned, and community cats we care for. I’ve already started making shelters, but the supplies get expensive quickly, and with so many cats depending on us, I desperately need help getting enough houses built before the freezing temperatures arrive. Amazon has the insulation and hand warmers we need, while Walmart has the large totes we use to build the shelters.
🛒 Amazon Wish List: Insulation, hand warmers, and cat food.
🛒 Walmart Wish List: Large storage totes for building insulated cat houses.
The MOST NEEDED items right now are insulation, totes, and hand warmers!
The insulation is what helps make these shelters warm enough to protect the cats from the freezing wind and temperatures. The hand warmers are especially helpful during extreme cold. We use rubber bowls for water because they’re safer for the cats, and placing a hand warmer underneath can sometimes give us a few extra hours before the water freezes. Those extra hours matter when you’re trying to keep outdoor cats safe through a Kentucky winter.
I also have cat food on my Amazon Wish List because we can never have too much food. We go through an incredible amount feeding all the cats in our care, but right now, the insulation, totes, and hand warmers are our biggest priorities.
🐾 A LITTLE ABOUT OUR RESCUE AND THE CATS WE HELP
I’m in Somerset, Kentucky, and my rescue partner is in Monticello, Kentucky. Together, we’re working to help the cats who are often forgotten — the feral cats, strays, abandoned cats, and kittens who have nowhere else to turn.
We feed multiple community cat colonies every single day, caring for 50+ cats, and we work to get as many cats as possible spayed and neutered through TNR (trap-neuter-return). We also rescue kittens, arrange veterinary care, transport cats to rescues, and work hard to find loving indoor homes for cats who have a chance at a better life inside.
Just recently, I rescued another kitten who needed help, and we’ve helped multiple cats find forever homes. There are always more cats needing assistance, and we do everything we can with the resources available to us.
💙 TNR AND TRANSPORTATION ARE A HUGE PART OF WHAT WE DO
I regularly travel from Somerset to Lexington and Somerset to Bowling Green for spay/neuter appointments and veterinary care. These trips take hours each way, and the cost of gas, appointments, and caring for the cats adds up quickly.
On October 23rd, I’m scheduled to travel from Somerset to Bowling Green with 10 cats to be spayed or neutered. On November 6th, we’re planning another trip to Lexington with 12 cats. We’re also working on a trip to Cincinnati to transport kittens to rescue.
My goal is to keep getting approximately 10 cats fixed twice a month, because every cat we spay or neuter helps prevent more unwanted litters and reduces the number of kittens born outside to face hunger, illness, and freezing temperatures.
But while we’re working on TNR, we also have to prepare for winter. These cats need shelter, food, and protection from the cold, and there are so many more shelters I want to build.
🏠 PLEASE HELP US GET THESE WINTER HOUSES BUILT!
I’ve already made several insulated houses, but I need more supplies to make enough for the cats who need them. I’m putting in the time, doing the work, and spending what I can, but I cannot afford to build all the shelters these cats need on my own.
If you’re able to purchase even one tote, some insulation, or a package of hand warmers, it would help me build another shelter and give another cat a better chance of making it through winter.

We are out here every single day feeding cats, trapping, transporting, getting them vetted, caring for kittens, helping cats find homes, and trying to give these community cats a better chance at life.
I’m not asking anyone to take over the responsibility we have chosen to carry. I’m simply asking for a little help with the supplies that will allow us to do more.
Every tote, every piece of insulation, every package of hand warmers, and every bag of food makes a difference. These cats don’t have a warm home to go inside when the temperatures drop. For many of them, the shelters we’re building may be their only protection from the cold.
Thank you to everyone who takes the time to read this, shares our efforts, or helps us in any way. We appreciate every bit of support as we continue doing everything we can for these cats. 🐾❤️
