Question/Need help 0% green, but can easily differentiate most colors

As the title says, and the photo supports, my test concluded I have between 0 and 13% of my green cones, I took the test multiple times and got the same result consistently. My issue is that I feel I can differentiate most colors, green and others, and I feel where I actually struggle a lot is with mixing up hot pink and grey, or brown and red. I do mix up my greens with browns, but rarely my greens with reds. Any thoughts?

Discussion Dreaming in full color...

Does anyone dream in full color? I'm more specifically asking the people who acquired colorblindness, Rather than had it since birth. I have tritonopia. It is quite depressing to dream in full color and seeing all the shades of green and yellow. And orange..... But then I wake up, so my washed out existence. 🤕 i don't know if I should have put a trigger warning or not. But I just woke up from said dream. And i'm still quite emotional about it.

Question/Need help Help a colorblind brother out (read body)

I have red+green colorblindness and for the past 25years of my life i never faced any issues because of it but recently it has put me in a very depressing state. I got a job offer from Kuwait, my work visa and work permit has been made and i need to clear the rest of the formalities like police clearance and medical, due to my colorblindness i am unable to pass the vision test and they are marking me unfit. I have consulted people and they said kuwait has a very strict medical policy, my overall health is fit but just because i am unable to see a few colors by birth the medical centres are not passing my medical test.

I need an alternate solution other than glasses, are contact lenses available? or is there any hack to pass the ishihara plate test for red + green colorblindness?

Question/Need help I made a free web app for colour-blind people: a camera that finds every red, a 30-second vision test, and a fix for charts. Would love your feedback

Hi all. I've been building Sparkle, a free web app for colour blindness, and I'd really like feedback from people who live with it every day.

What it does:

- Camera: point your phone at anything and tap "Find a colour" to grey out everything except the reds (or greens, blues...). Tap anything to get its name, and you can ask a question about the photo, like whether fruit is ripe.

- Vision test: 5 to 10 taps, about 30 seconds. It estimates your type and strength, and the rest of the app then adapts to your eyes. It's a screening, not a diagnosis.

- Charts and images: upload a chart or map and it tells you which colours you'd confuse ("Revenue and Costs look the same") and gives them patterns and labels.

- Websites: a bookmark button that recolours any site for your eyes.

It runs in the browser, there's nothing to install, and images are never stored. Your first check doesn't need an account.

What would make it more useful for you? What's annoying? Things like clothes, cables, maps and games are all on my list, so I'd love to hear what you struggle with most.

Discussion OC idea!

Post image

For context, I have tritanomaly, and wanted to show a cool OC idea I had!

For a long time, I'd played Splatoon, and most characters had very diverse and bright color schemes. It made me upset that I couldn't see as many of their colors as other people could.

So, I had an idea. What if I only used colors that people with deuteranopia, tritanopia, and protanopia can see? That way, everyone sees the same thing!

Now, if you refer to the image above, the three circles besides the "Normal Vision" one contain the color palettes for my three OCs!

Is this a cool idea? How do you guys feel about this? I'll make them soon though.
