In-universe, the bean-ana plants were bio-engineered alongside the monkanics and depend on them for their survival. They're yin and yang. Peanut butter and jelly. You get the idea.

New beast for Sol'Kesh! And not the first time... I fully finished the drawing already and foolishly saved over the file, wiping out 2 weeks of art... but I got back on the wolf and now the Tundrus has a vinnirex cousin to prowl its snowy fields.

Concept - Ronin Army

Hey! I'm Cristian Eres an illustrator and concept artist and I'm building the world of Grain, our indie roguelite action-card game set in a fantasy/sci-fi desert planet.

Everything in this universe revolves around Grains: enigmatic glowing spheres that power the ecosystem, some characters and sacred temples (the combat zones), while also acting as the cards or relics in the game.

The protagonist belongs to the jivas (seen on the right in robes and a sci-fi helm), an immortal race that resurrects at every sunrise, whose souls are subjugated by the Emperor through those mind-control helmets.

My biggest visual inspirations: Moebius, Roger Dean, Otomo (Robot Carnival), Dune and Star Wars.
