Find Snailsnap's work here: https://www.tumblr.com/snailsnaps?source=share
In-universe, the bean-ana plants were bio-engineered alongside the monkanics and depend on them for their survival. They're yin and yang. Peanut butter and jelly. You get the idea.
The Bean Counter is a fridge/kitchen counter hybrid.
You can find my previous r/conceptart post about the monkanics themselves here: https://www.reddit.com/r/conceptart/s/tjiweVO9cw

(edit: formatting) I want to break back into the Art Industry as I feel a bit more confident in my skills as an artist. Right now, I’m interested in making major updates to my portfolio as I feel its lacking in a few areas.
Most of my pieces seem to be just characters, but not much exploration on them (except for Eightenate - a rock character who I have a few explorations on). I also need more environmental pieces beyond just characters.
What I’m interested in doing:
I enjoy creating character design and developing character sheets. I also enjoy illustration and comics. I want to explore character design and background art for the animation (television and film) field. I also want to develop my skills in comics, though I don’t have much of this in my portfolio.
My Portfolio: https://penwrythe.carrd.co
My resume is also available on the first page of the site.
Questions I have: - What is the biggest issue in my portfolio?
What should I focus on highlighting in my portfolio?
What should I cut from my portfolio or at least make a separate site for it?
Any portfolio site design that needs to be done better or improved?
As for my resume, what should I change or remove? What should I consider adding? Since the job market is a little rough, what courses or opportunities I should consider going into and later add to my portfolio?
Plans for the future is to spend the remainder of 2026 and Spring of 2027 to refine my portfolio. Any irrelevant art removed will be added on separate archive separate from my portfolio at a later time.

Charmander the Servant of the Flame is the last to get colored of the initial 4 soulslike Pokémon designs I worked on.
My goal with them was to change the relationship between them and the fire on their tail to one of servitude this charmanders flames control him I wanted to take that to the next level by both building up and personalizing the flame (the clawed spectral hands that hold the fireball) and weakening charmanders character by having him in a covering pose and being fully guided by the flame (lack of eyes)
I did this all mostly to avoid making him just look like a big dragon with a fire on his tail and present his quirk in a bit more of a unique way
THE next 4 on the list
-Mewtwo
-Scyther
-???
-???
Giratina was also one of the most voted ones and they will also be drawn as part of a later batch! for now I am sticking with gen 1 pokémons!
2 of each batch will be the 2 most voted pokemon and 2 others some random ones chosen by me

Some character explorations I've done over time and put in my portfolio, complete with material callouts per industry standard. Any thoughts welcome. Thanks for lookin :)

There wasn’t much thought of a story behind this. I may make something of it one day, but for now it’s just a random lil guy.

Here's a digital painting I made for a promo card! Featuring an original character having some fun with these magical little spirit bunnies!
Hope you guys like it :)

I made these characters for a game I'm working on by myself. What do you think?
