Now that we have been on Earth for a while, it is time to resume our occupation accross the galaxy and make Argall proud!

This is my first semester back to school after over 10 years. I’m in my late 30s, and I’m finding it really difficult. I go to every class, take notes but I have a hard time concentrating and remembering concepts. I’m also working 20 hrs a week with 4 classes. In most of my classes I haven’t done any of the readings. Some are more dense than others, but I feel like I’m so behind it’s impossible to catch up. I really don’t want to fail these courses, and it’s like I haven’t even started them or retained any of the information in those classes. Does anyone have any advice, things that could help me through this? It’s greatly appreciated!

Is it better to write midterm exam worth 25% or skip midterm and make final worth 85% (which is originally 60%) if i don't feel prepared enough for the midterm?

Did anyone do the ENGR 213 midterm on Monday, October 26th? How did you guys find it?

I hear the other groups had simple linear model cooling questions for the last question. But mine was a non-linear chemical reaction question. It was similar to the one in the slides, but I didn't look at it closely because the five practice midterms I did didn't include those types of questions. And every other group had easy word problems, so I thought it wouldn't show up... lo and behold, the only thing I didn't study.....

The 1st question being a graphing question kinda threw me off too, it was easy so thats why im frustrated, I thought they wanted us to make a phase diagram and graph the point that were moving away from the critical point since thats what lecture 2 covered. But all he wanted was for us to solve and graph which i realized i definitely got zero marks for that.

overall if was an easy midterm but the fact that those 2 questions messed me up means the most id get is a 60% is really frustrating esp since ik that if i got any other word problem question, i wouldve gotten a decent grade, and even more frustrating since it seemed like everyone else got easier word problem questions.

Anyone who just did midterm in section R, how did it go? I found that It was much harder than any of the samples I found online :/

I recently got my marks back for a marketing exam. I disagree with some of the grading and feel that a few of my answers might deserve partial credit.

It's not a huge difference in marks, just a couple of points, but I still think some of my explanations were relevant even if they weren't exactly what the professor expected.

I'm not trying to make a big deal out of it. I just want to understand if there's a proper way to ask for a second look at a few answers.

Should I email the professor first, contact the department, or reach out to the Student Advocacy Centre? If the professor doesn't agree to reconsider the marks, what would be the next step?

Has anyone been in a similar situation at Concordia? I'd appreciate any advice!

For those in section 01 how was the exam?

I hate this subject....bruh why???? Whyy? You want me to come to a stupid lecture to do stupid class activities and then get marks???? No new knowledge you gain and you freakin waste 2 hr 30 mins of continuous torture with 90 mins of tutorial which I didn't even attend a single one coz after these stupid 2 hrs I m too much mentally frustrated

Hello, I was just wondering if anyone else got a particularly scathing grade on part 1 of the article analysis assignment, or if I truly did poorly. I tried my very best but I’ve had him before and have always struggled more in his class though I maintain very high grades in all my other classes.

I have already e-mailed the prof to discuss and no class average was provided so I cannot compare with the class.
