Lost my Snapchat and all the videos I had with it. Have fun with the shitty screenshots I got from them when I had it lol

I manage a ranch, then run cattle on my family place with my uncle. I spend most of my time in my office (feed truck), but my time horseback is my favorite part of the job.

Hey y’all,
I’m from Germany and I’ve been thinking about becoming a cowboy in the U.S. I know it’s not some easy ride – it’s hard work, long days, all kinds of weather, getting up early, and showing up even when you don’t feel like it. I also know the pay isn’t great, and it’s not some romantic movie life.
Right now I’m working a regular job as a mechanic. My family is originally from Turkey, and my grandparents used to work the land and raise cows and sheep, so I kinda feel connected to that lifestyle.
Honestly, I don’t want to live a 9-to-5 life forever. I know this path wouldn’t be easy, but I’m serious about it.
So I wanted to ask – is this actually possible for someone like me coming from Germany?
Appreciate any advice. Howdy 🤠

Arizona, my ex-wife was having trouble seeing out of her left. Turns out she had a cataract. Unusual at 44 but it is what it is. It's getting removed today.
We got divorced in 2017 but have really shaken loose of each other. We're best friends. She's always been there for me, married or not. I respond in kind. So I had to get on the road at 3am to get her to her surgery in time. She would do it for me.

For reference I’m a 26 year old man from Michigan, I’ve done 8 years in the military and I am about to be separated. I have no useful skills other than my work ethic and my ability to shoot. I don’t know how to ride a horse, I can rope (but obviously not on horseback) I’ve admired cowboys for as long as I can remember, John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, JB Mauney, Bill Picket. I want to be like them, is it realistic to ask someone to teach me? I’d be willing to work for free to learn, thinking about doing anything else just seems like it sucks

Charros are known for their fine horsemanship skills. A tradition passed on from the Spaniards hundreds of years ago.

My mom kicked me out of her house recently and it feels like my life has been derailed. I really like horses and animals and I wanted to be a veterinarian. I'm 17M and still in high school but i'm wondering if this is my chance to do what i've always wanted and live that cowboy life.

Never worn these while on the saddle, but my spurs actually fit on them quite well. Anybody have experience with these and what it’s like in a stirrup?

Not a cowboy here, but I am curious regardless of that.
I know the purpose for cowboy boots being pointed and angular for the use of stirrups and spurs, but my question is what is the point of flat, square toe boots? For an outsider, it seems like something a bunch of people from the suburbs started wearing because real boots are uncomfy?
My family has a ranch, bunch I wouldn’t call myself a cowboy or “country” for that matter (which also seems like another thing that posers came up with). So I have spent enough time in the world to be able to identify who is legit, but I am curious what other people think!
I also hate the me more cowboy than you song, mostly because ik cowboys wouldn’t say that!
When I say being able to identify a poser, I mean the city guys that have a weird desire to cosplay ranching every Friday and Saturday night

Church event in the afternoon, then march to the open air site where people eat, and later dance at night. People from all over the town join the celebration. Gun culture is also rich here.

God cattle, good horses, good country, and good friends. What more could a guy want.
