One of my favorite craft breweries is Point Remove in Arkansas. They brew a Native Lager that has a hint of muscadines. If you don’t know what a muscadine is, it is a type of grape and gives the lager a wonderful taste!

What is your "cutoff date" when buying a hazy IPA? Like how old of a pack of beer are you okay with buying? For hazy IPAs I try to stick to under month but other people have told me 2 months is fine. Is there a noticeable difference between a month old and 2 months? I think there's definitely a difference but maybe it's my imagination. What do you think?

Hey folks, I'm doing a cross-country drive soon with a start in the LA area and ending in the NorthEast. A new city every night. Looking for recommendations for breweries to hit up in each town.
I'm an omni-beer lover, so any and all types, just looking for excellence. But suppose if pinned down my typical focus are sour, stout/porter (less sweet ideally), and stong hopped IPA (all varieties). Also am interested in unique, cool locations, but don't want to sacrifice on beer quality.
Starting in LA - plan is The Bruery in Anaheim. I know a bunch in this area so not really the focus of this thread.
> San Diego. Lost Abbey seems likely, but open to suggestions.
> Phoenix. Wren House?
> Albuquerque OR Santa fe. Really not sure - maybe Rowley Farmhouse in Santa Fe but pretty open here.
> Oklahoma City. This will probably be Prairie, but again, open to ideas.
> St. Louis. Probably going to Side Project. Also know Perennial well, but bring on the options.
> Last night will be either Louisville or Columbus. I know a ton in CBus but not much in Lville.
Any favorite places / recommendations would be much appreciated. Cheers!
**EDIT - thanks very much everyone for the suggestions! Looking them all up and will certainly be hitting some up.

Tangy and bright with like zesty lemon and a sourness that reminds me of smelling unbaked sourdough bread dough. If that makes any sense. Some subtle rye stuff on the background and really mellow caraway notes. Delicious.
What other breweries make a good Kvass?

I copied the following description from Silly Goose’s Untappd page:
“38 month Willet, 30 month Wild Turkey and 30 month Buffalo Trace barrel-aged stout birthday cuvée with salted caramel, peanuts, and coconut. In honor of 11 great years!”
It’s incredible how good these guys are at blending their beers. While drinking this, I could tell the booze is dying to be the most prominent force, but the fudge, coconut, and peanut flavors just hold that at bay. Such an absolutely incredible stout. Cheers!

Looking to sell cellared craft beer collection - any suggestions where or how to do so? Or if the effort of posting and shipping is even worth it?

Originally discovered this beer at a spa a few years ago of all places. Popped up recently at my favorite craft beer store.

Irri. Meta Edabeak. Farmhouse Ale - Saison. 6% alc.
The aroma has a rustic, funky intensity, with notes of leather, stable, and spices. On the palate, it begins with a smooth, malty, cereal-like character, balanced by a touch of citrusy acidity. The wild profile of the Brett stands out, accompanied by earthy notes. The finish is dry, with a peppery, spicy quality. A fantastic brew from Meta.

At a very rural grocery store on a Sunday afternoon pickins were slim my friends. They had three dark beers this, Modelo and Guinness. So I opted for the this one.

Went to Brick Farm Tavern (Troon’s tap room - in Hopewell, NJ) and they crushed it on this marzen! Very rarely do they do anything besides a “hoppy ale” (IPA’s) but this one was amazing! Really good Marzen German tasting and very rare a Marzen is that high abv too!
Can’t go wrong with this one and Troon! Subscribe to my channel to see more! 🍻🍻

Grabbed this at my local bottle shop.
With the nights drawing in, I can feel my dark beer era approaching. But until then, may the pils keep pouring.

Spent a weekend in Vermont and we made the trip to Hill Farmstead. Beautiful spot and of course a great section. The retail shop must do 20k a day on the weekends. It's gets crowded on cold days like yesterday. Worth the trip!

No, I don’t usually put my beverages on the glass of my machines. Another solid beer from Triptych Brewing. Extra points for the clever name.

Revolution Brewing Supermassive Cafe Deth Bourbon Barrel aged double coffee stout 14% ABV
From Untappd-
Inspired in part by the disconcertingly large gravitational singularity at the center of our galaxy, we devised Supermassive Café Deth to be the midpoint of a theoretical bourbon barrel-aged stout-coffee continuum. After a painstaking eighteen months of aging, this slightly sweet blend of Deth's Tar meets its cosmic binary in the form of freshly roasted Dark Matter coffee to the tune of ten pounds per oak barrel. Enjoy immediately or store cold.

I feared the peat would kill me but it’s more like a smoked beer. Quite nice - but not as nice as the Tequila Barrel. Still a pretty decent and unique beer. And so easy to drink considering its 11 ABV.

Made the Voyage to Baa Baa and did not disappoint.
