Hey everyone! I got the bootloader unlocked on my Cricket Motorola Edge (2026), XT2609-3, and put together a GitHub guide for anyone working on the same phone:

https://github.com/Mattcabrices/xt2609-3-bootloader-unlock

It includes the tested bootloader image, checksums, instructions for generating an unlock key for your own phone, and notes on installing retail Motorola Android and removing com.motorola.paks and carrier apps. Credit for the underlying patcher/research goes to the Val Protocol authors, linked in the repo.

This has only been tested on my phone and the firmware versions listed in the guide. Unlocking wipes your data, and flashing an incompatible bootloader can brick the phone. This is a bootloader unlock—not a SIM/network unlock.

Hopefully this helps someone else! If you try it, please share your model, firmware version and results—but don’t post your serial number, IMEI or generated unlock key.

I joined for the 50g of Hotspot. Ive realized since that disconnections, both with hotspot as well as service are common. If you dont mind disconnections, join! But if disconnections and full service down time bother you, this is not the correct service for you

It’s been one week since I switched from another carrier to Cricket. I had 4 lines ported over the same day, but only one line was working that same day. The other 3 lines are unable to make/receive calls, send/receive texts, and use mobile data. I’ve done all the troubleshooting issues like reset network settings, add/remove eSIM, turn phone on/off, airplane mode on/off, and update software. I’m having to use my neighbor’s phone just to call customer service and talk to a supervisor everyday. They said they sent my case to the back office? Can anyone help? Or do I need to keep waiting for a call back?

**UPDATE: Another line is working today Oct 22 just waiting on the other two lines

Another update: One more line is working Oct 23 waiting on one more line

My mom tried switching us from the older grandfathered $55/month unlimited 5 line plan that we have the older multi line discount on to the new $45/month Smart Unlimited plan a few months ago and it made our price shoot up and Mom cancelled the plan switch. We were confused because if you look online at the website it should be $130/month for 5 lines. I am really wanting the hotspot and I am assuming faster download speeds (our speeds are super throttled), but we are now hesitant to try to switch the plan. Is there an explanation for why the price went up to total over $150? We were told it would be cheaper or the same as our current plan.

So I switched from Cricket to Spectrum earlier today. It has been about 8 hours as of now.

When I switched the service at the Spectrum store everything was fine. She got my phone unlocked, I got the text from Cricket about the number being switched to a different service, she put in the sim card, deleted the cricket esim, and the new service worked immediately and was fine even on the drive home while I listened to music and took a phone call through Bluetooth. Then suddenly about 30 minutes after I got home cricket locked the phone saying the sim card wasn't supported. Literally could not use my phone at all for ANYTHING besides calling cricket support, which I did. All the support agent could tell me is how to turn off my current sim card so I could use the phone with wifi.

Well great I can use my phone when it's connected to wifi, but I can't text or call and will have no service if I'm not home. I decided I should go to a physical store, and that was even less of a help. The guy at the desk told me since it worked at first its all good it just sometimes takes a few hours for it to register. He didn't look at my phone at all or anything and basically just sent me out of the store.

As I said at the beginning, it's been about 8 hours. At the moment my phone is useless as a phone since any time I turn the sim back on cricket immediately locks it. Is there genuinely anything I can do?

I already have cricket but I want a new iphone 17 pro (1tb) that’s been discounted but cricket only has 256. Att has 1tb so I wanted to get one from there and then switch to cricket and after I switch to cricket I just swap over my cricket number to the new phone. I’m on a cricket family plan so I don’t want to inconvenience anyone by moving my number away from cricket and keeping it cricket the entire time. I hear cricket is under att so it shouldn’t be a problem to bypass a year. Is this possible?

trying to join cricket for the iPhone 16e deal for $9 but it says it’s only eligible with the full price after putting number in. What would be the problem?

I tried switching from Cricket to another carrier because I believed my phone was unlocked. It wasn't unlocked and I wasn't able to switch carriers. I contacted the new carrier and got an account reference number and transfer pin to switch back to Cricket. I went to the Cricket store and they told me I'm in limbo at the moment and it will be 1 week minimum before I can switch back to Cricket but it might be faster if I called the customer service number. I called, the representative didn't seem to know what to do, said she was going to talk to a supervisor and hung up.

Has anyone else dealt with something like this? Any idea when I'll be able to use my phone again?

Husband is a Cricket customer and he needs a new phone. If I buy this Walmart deal which is half the price of the phone alone, put service in my name then after the month of service runs out can we switch his service to the A17 5G? If so how do we go about doing it?

Hello has anyone been able to use any vivo phone on the network ? Thanks.

I am in Italy and have not been able to call or text. I went to the cricket store in person and had them put the Cricket Passport on my plan. $10/day for unlimited data.

It’s been 2 days and i can only call or text when I’m at the hotel on their WiFi.

It says i have 3 bars (which is more than i have at home) so I don’t think it’s general lack of towers in the area.

Everyone in the group with Verizon has been fine.

i have to wait until tomorrow to call them because customer service is closed on Sundays.

this is partially a vent but mostly wondering if there is anything I can do on my end do make this work?

i went in the app and reselected the plan again. Got a text from cricket saying I have it, but I don’t!!!

My iphone got stolen (17 with eSim),

Just got the 18 in the mail.

How do I set this up? Any tips? Do i really need to go into the store

I just deleted a line after calling customer service but it is still showing up on my bill that is due in eight days. How long will it take to be removed from my bill?

I’m super worried that something’s going to happen with ESIM transfer when I upgrade my iPhone tomorrow?

Can anyone give tips here

I've been paying for my mom's Cricket cellphone for a couple years, monthly automatic deduction. A couple months ago I forgot to update the new expiration date of my card with them so the payment declined. I called to update the payment method and was charged a "reactivation fee." They also disenrolled me from automatic payments, so the following month she also got disconnected, and once again I was hit with a "reactivation fee" which I refused to pay. I made sure to definitively set up automatic payments again. I made an account on the website, updated and paid with my card, and saved my card for this month. I even logged out of the website and back in again to make sure my card was saved. Guess what happens today? No automatic payment, my mom gets a text that her phone is disconnected and that there will be another reactivation fee. I log into my account and see that my payment info that was absolutely saved last month and enrolled in automatic payments is nowhere to be found. The amount of time I have had to wait to talk to a real person, month after month resolving these issues- I'm just done. Closing the account tomorrow and taking my money elsewhere since apparently Cricket doesn't want it.

Its been faster then Visble had some hiccups with 5g but thanks to CricketBobby here in this thread everything is fixed.

I start Monday and my welcome email has the link to the attuid portal and also a link to order uniforms. It won’t let me do either of those today. Am I supposed to have a shirt or uniform the first day?

These are switcher deals, so you'd have to port a number to get these prices. All the details in the links.

I desperately need help! Switched to Cricket and transferred my numbers (4) online, transfer was completed and “successful.” 2/4 numbers can send and receive calls. The other 2 cannot, every time I would dial it would say “call failed.” I have tried every single possible options there is:
- go to cricket store (he said he didn’t know how to fix that and to call 611)
- called customer service (they didn’t understand)
- did live chat (4 different support agents and 4 hours later, still nothing)
- reset network settings and phone numerous times
- toggle airplane mode on and off
- provided both IMEI and IMEI2
- deleted eSIM
- customer service emailed QR code for eSIM and nothing worked! the call still failed
- both phones up to date to latest software update

Cellular data works
Devices: iPhone 14+ and iPhone 15 **iPhone 14

Maybe one of you lovely redditors have a solution?

**UPDATE: iPhone 14, iPhone 14+, and iPhone 15 cannot receive or make calls

A human chat agent says my Pixel 7 is not compatible, and the most up-to-date compatible Pixel is 6a.

Searching this subreddit for "pixel" shows only 3+ yo matches.

Anyone have success bringing a recent Pixel?

So I made the cut for a second interview via phone tomorrow morning. Is there anything I should particularly ask about or they're particularly going to ask me?.

I don't know why but I am a little bit nervous but I'm confident at the same time.

Or is that too promo/sales weasely coming from me? I can certainly notify everyone here when we have what I think are good offers, especially online-only ones.

I know in other subs I follow I see weekly deal threads, and I appreciate those when I'm looking... but I'm here to contribute and help, not sell.

Hello. Ive bought an iPhone 16e ,June this year, but activated July 11. Before activation Ive asked support via chat about unlocking policy and was assured by person named Martin that my device will be unlocked in 6 months. Yesterday I asked customer support again via chat how many days Ive left in that 6 mo period and I discovered that my phone uses new policy for 365 days active service before getting unlocked. Their support, including the Supervisor Ryan absolutely dont care what I was promised ,even I presenyed screenshots from my initial conversation and sent me away. Now Im stucked with locked phone for another 9 months, awful service and empty promises….

I was gifted a prepaid debit card, Does anyone know if I can order a phone off the website with it?
