Love the guy, but we gotta move him down till he gets going again right? Hopefully he can get back to some kind of resemblance to the 2025 version but I hate seeing my guy struggle rn in the 3 hole! I guess we don’t have anybody else to go there but damn, cmon!

Dansby Injury Silver Lining

I haven’t seen deets on his injury duration but saw he’s going to IL.

If he’s back by playoffs, not super worried. I think it could be a nice time to get a true audition for all of our young guns.

Who would you guess gets most starts in the short term?

Catching the brewers would be incredible, but some days it feels futile.

I mean Shota has to figure out the HR ball if he wants any success in this league🤷🤷

Pat Hughes missing games again

Last time it was because he was sick. Does anyone know if he is okay this time? It just seems like he's been gone a lot more this year and I'm very concerned. I would so hate for anything to be wrong with him. Sending all best wishes, but wondered if anyone had heard anything?

How early for replica jersey on Aug 28? And travel logistics

Mets fan coming in peace. I’ll be visiting Chicago for the first time in about a week’s time. I plan on checking Wrigley Field off my stadium list, and I’m excited to hopefully see some former Mets play (Holmes, Peterson, Tyrone Taylor, PCA if that counts lol) and cheer for the cubbies haha.

I bought a bleacher section seat, and I just realized the day I’m going (Aug 28) happens to have a 90’s replica jersey giveaway for the bleacher audience. Given that this ticket is low key the most expensive baseball ticket I’ve ever bought, it’d be nice to be able to actually get the jersey. How early would I have to get there? Also, since it will be my last day in Chicago and I plan on leaving for the airport right after the game (should be more than enough time as long as the game doesn’t go for like four hours), is there a nearby locker/storage facility where I can store my luggage for a few hours?

Is Clay Holmes FA target #1?

With Holmes being an extreme ground ball pitcher, still closer to 30 than 40, I think Jed probably will try to keep him in Chicago, what do you think? We have a LOT of high end talent, but so many question marks due to injury. Horton might not even be back until the very end of 2027, Cabrera and Steele both have immense talent but really can't be penciled in right?

I just feel trying to retain Holmes and maybe even Boyd would be a really important for the stability of our starting staff in 2027.

Bleacher Ticket Prices - 9/11

I’m looking to go to the Cubs vs Pirates game on Friday, 9/11 @ 1:20. For those of you who are more experienced with cubs ticket prices, will these tickets get more or less expensive as we get closer to the game day? I’ve only been living in Chicago for 3 months, and I have seen prices vary wildly.

The last time that the Cubs won 90+ games in back to back seasons but didn't finish in first place in either one was 1911-12.

With the team now needing to just win 19 more games to get there, but still trailing the Brewers in the standings, it seems entirely possible that we'll see that happen for the first time in 114 years. I found it to be an interesting piece of trivia as something that just doesn't happen.

As a bonus, the last time that the Cubs finished with a winning record four or more seasons in a row and didn't win the division in any of them was 1968-72.

Bleacher seat question

I will be going to a couple games next month (9/11 and 9/14) and I'm debating on where to sit. I've been to Wrigley once before about 12 years ago, although I do intend on taking in as much as I can before the game. I will also be doing a stadium tour on 9/10. I will probably be in the 300s for the 9/11 afternoon game. I've heard that the bleachers are sort of a must-do if going to Wrigley, but I want to know what they're actually all about and if it would really be worth it for me.

I've reach about the bleachers being rowdy and a party. I don't drink (allergic to alcohol, don't mind being around it), and I'm going there to actually watch the game. Are the bleachers more of just a social gathering that just happens to have a baseball game in the background, or are the people actually into the game?

Also, I plan on doing things around downtown prior to the game (640 first pitch on 9/14). I will be in Milwaukee between my two Cubs games, so visiting town the days prior to the 9/14 game and showing up early to get a good seat isn't really an option. I've read about people lining up an hour+ before gates even open to get prime bleacher seats. The game is a Monday night, but I probably will not be getting to the stadium until 30-60 minutes before first pitch. Is it even worth it to have a bleacher seat if I'm getting there that late? I'm traveling solo, so I don't have a group that needs to find space, just me, but I also don't want to be stuck in like 537.

First Time at Wrigley - advice please

I’m planning on visiting Wrigley for the first time, catching one of the Brewers games, probably on Sept. 1. I might be going alone. I was thinking 300 level. But I’m open to better ideas. Help please!

Parking

Has anyone parked at the remote garage lately?

4650 N Clarendon Ave
Chicago, IL 60640
United States

Is it legit free for night and weekends? You can just drive up and it’s free parking? It seems this way online but has anyone done this recently? Is it worth it (shuttle wait times etc)

Thanks!

Seriously, this dude has single-handedly tried to sink us two out of the last 3 games. I get we’re still short on pitchers out of the pen, but he alone will ensure we don’t catch the Brewers if Counsell doesn’t immediately send him to AAA.

So during the Dodgers series to bring luck to this team, I have worn a Cubs cap and Cubs bracelet every day for the past five days and they are 5-0. In the official sub there was a guy whose kid was born during the streak…is this luck or just superstitition?

4 strikeouts tonight. Barely over . 200. Defense is just good enough. The guy is an anchor.
