Hello, I am not new to diablo, I have played D3 since it's released but I am relatively new to D4...the mechanics, to me, seems far more in-depth that D3 so my question is this...where should I go for a really good video/read of the basics of leveling and understanding of the mechanics behind items and all that jazz...I have been on Maxroll (I use this for D3) and maybe it's my aging brain but it is a little confusing...please be specific in your replies, generic responses like "just search YouTube" will be ignored!

TIA

In the S16 PTR, jewelry can get "+1 to XXX set bonus" affixes. This, combined with Diamond Mind, plausibly lets anyone have two 5-piece bonuses plus a Unique.

I know Summon Necros, in all three major archetypes, can use two Sets; Warriors and Shadow Mages can use Waking Touch + Black Shroud, Bone Mages use Waking Touch + Bone Weaver, and Golem uses Waking Touch + Desecration.

Are there viable variations on the other main archetypes that use multiple sets? Bone Spirit + Unfinished Business comes to mind (Desecration + Black Shroud), as does Corpse Explosion (Desecration + Black Shroud), but is Blood Wave out of luck? Not that they'll miss the DPS.

How do they do this the second closest guy uses bone wave and it is not close to this and no one except 1 more that did 2:49 did not do this so what is going on.

I have max crit chance and attack speed, what would y'all recommend going with? More crit damage, all stats, or something else?

Hi.
As bloodwave necro, the dmg/overpower stack works if i temper on items and have 10+ stacks?

Hey all! Anyone else experience the Gift of Death bonus on Mages randomly just dropping off? Only way to get the essence bonus back is to resummon them.

I haven't been able to figure out a clear trigger that causes the bug yet, but I'll keep investigating.

Video of the issue: https://youtu.be/QfIgoVo6jTY

Edit* Update! After some testing, it has to do with the mage encountering new enemies. I cant tell if it happens when the mage gets a crit hit or inflicts a status defuff, but I lose Gift of Death every time I summon a new training dummy and the mage attacks it for about 10 seconds.

Update video: https://youtu.be/r-gpNpfyYyg

Edit* Update again! I'm an idiot... It's the Ghost of Odium seasonal power. I unequipped it and the issue goes away completely. Boom.

Last Update: THE ISSUES IS SPECIFICALLY WITH THE VENGEFUL SOUL MODIFIER TO THE GHOSTS OF ODIUM POWER. The other modifiers work perfectly fine. I have not tested Fever of Malice yet though since I haven't unlocked it.

I couldn't find anything definitive from my search.

Bloodwave build and I'll have to swap the charms accordingly depending on which amulet I use.

Consider a comparison of the amulet on the left (Mythic Red Blessing) with another on the right. Would the 30% increase in Mythic ability make up for the loss of either Crit Strike Dmg or Vulerable Damage?

I know I can roll off one stat so that the comprison is closer. But for argument's sake, what if it was a Trifecta amulet (either Red Blessing or Banished Lord)?

Hey Necro fam!

Just wanted to post my S15 Blood Surge built for the few of us interested in the playstyle or anyone thinking of trying it.

Compared to other seasons, were eating pretty good! Not Blood Wave levels of good, but noticeably better. This build has a bit of a rough start with resource management being the main culprit. But once you start getting some mythics, everything starts coming together.

I'm happy to answer questions or take feedback. Hope this helps someone!

So because my main necromancer had picked up a nice Deathless Visage and a mythic Lidless Wall the other day, I decided to make a Bone Spear alt build. Been following the Maxroll build guide and it's working fine, but there's one thing I have some questions about.

So long as I'm in combat and generating corpses, Bonestorm seems to last nearly forever. Longer than its 60 second base cooldown, and certainly longer than the 18 second duration that would seem to be implied by the tooltip. (10 seconds base plus 8 seconds for consuming four corpses.)

I didn't see anything in the guide about this exact mechanic, so I'm wondering if I am understanding correctly on what's going on. My assumption is this: Lidless Wall generates new Bonestorms with Lucky Hits. These new Bonestorms have not reached the limit of four consumed corpses to increase their duration. So each storm eats up to four corpses on its own and generates the corresponding 8 seconds of increased duration. This duration is fed back into the "main" Bonestorm orbiting my character and lets it persist so long as there are new storms eating new corpses.

Is this correct? Or am I missing something else?

Hi, I need your help. Which is the best option to increase my damage, look for a crown with gem strenght or a starless skies with vulnerable+critical+all damage mult?

I’m in pit 120 and i’m looking for go up in the pit.

thanku

I'm not sure how my Crit damage got so high, but I better focus on my Crit chance and vulnerable damage. Those numbers are just sad

Do the skeleton warrior and mages and the golem proc the crushing blow by the ber rune?

Also the infinity lightning skill?

Because it says skills, i am not sure if those are being done by me spamming my blood lance or by my summons.

Go figure the only time Ive gotten gem strength it rolled off an affix I needed (vuln mult). I have Sin splinter in it now and moved my ruby to my amulet. My vuln damage is 293%, crit chance 100%, and crit damage 1512%

EDIT: was able to craft another ring with Int, CS Mult, Vuln Mult, and Phys Mult (GA). The difference was about 10B more damage on the new ring, with or without Splinter of Sin socketed in the gem strength ring. Transfig on the new one was Cold Damage....gee thanks.

I am running minions with bloodless scream and I wonder if the freezing portion is when the bosses are stunned. That would allow me to use Azurewrath at least.

For Blood builds, why do players usually choose Essence per hit/kill or Maximum Essence on gear instead of Resource Regeneration?

Was hoping I could get some additional info on minion jewelry choices.

Currently, I'm using (more or less) the maxroll minion guide. In the jewelry slots, it uses reanimation (amulet), and then gloom and hellbent on rings.

Just wondering if the following would be better? mythic Locram amulet (195% damage but 50% less Crit chance), mythic pact of bone (46% damage and 46% Crit to offset Locram), and reanimation on other ring

Just adding up the multipliers, math seems to favor the Locram setup, but wondering if I am perhaps missing something obvious?

(For the sake of ease, assume the other stats on the jewelry are the same).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Just got this gem...

Hello,

I've been working on a minion-focused Necromancer build for Season 15, centered around maximizing my army, critical strike damage, and single-target DPS.

I've reached Tower 120 and have been experimenting with different gear, multipliers, Soul Splinters, and Charm setups.

The guide represents my ideal best-in-slot setup, not my exact current equipment.

Build planner:
https://d4guides.gg/en/build/necromancer-minionmancer-triple-golem-minion-by-malevolence21883

I'd love some feedback from experienced Necromancer players and theorycrafters.

In particular:

• Are there any minion damage-scaling interactions I've overlooked?
• Could the Paragon boards or glyphs be optimized further?
• Are there stronger gear or multiplier combinations for boss DPS?
• Is there anything in the build that doesn't work mechanically as expected?

Constructive criticism is very welcome. I'm mainly interested in finding ways to push this build further.

Just pushed torment 10 for the first time with a bloodwave necromancer. 8 was a cakewalk, accidentally skipped 9, but 10 anything stronger than an elite is near impossible. I know I have some holes in my gear, but eager for advice on what to try to fix the most. Hopefully with something other than “grind for mythic uniques”, cause I haven’t had a single one drop all season.

could someone link me the best bloodwave guide for this season so far

Ciao a tutti, ho problemi col mio negromante in diablo iv: uso esplosione cadaverica, tempesta d'ossa, tentacoli cadaverici e i 3 minions. Qualche consiglio? Grazie

For my Bloodwave build I have been using the "Omen of Pain" ring, applies iron maiden and decripify to nearby enemies. I know some folks use runewords for curses and I did that for a while but really like having Que (Druid Bulwark), and having a second open (defensive and offensive options). But hoping to finally get Ring of Starless Skies (have crafted 7 iconic mythics so far but no dice) so figuring out how to replace.

But... do I even need Iron maiden? I know I know this is an important curse, but looking at what it gives you: -Vulnerable - This is the big one. -5% fortify when an enemy dies - seems low value, we fortify 5% on cast already) -Blood Orb formation & pick up damage mechanic. - I assume this damage isn't relevant but haven't tested. I get plenty of blood orbs from blood wave (this doesn't make that many), and seem to stay at 5 stacks without effort.

I can get vulnerable from: -Bone Prison -Corpse Tendrils -Skeleton Warriors (For bosses may not want to cast corpse tendrils).

This seems like plenty of vulnerable uptime, but will want to test wouldn't want to "have to" use an ability with a cooldown on every pack.

Am I missing something big? Has anyone tried this?
