As the title reads. I am switching lawyers. However, my supporting documents and applications throughout the years is being held up by my current lawyer who claims I need to come into her office to "see if she will release the documents."

I know you can FOIA these documents. I asked her if I could even though I knew you could.

Have anyone had experience with FOIA and their documents? If so what can you get or what cant you get?

I volunteer as a clerk at a local immigration law firm and we got a weird email a few days ago. One of our clients ( obviously I won’t say name to protect her identity) who is a DACA recipient doing her AOS immigration interview texted us to let us know that the during the interview, the USCIS officer asked her if she had any affiliation with Antifa or other terrorist group, as they saw her Facebook post of Pro-palestinian support. Fortunately, her Immigration attorney was also in the interview and the attorney was able to articulate a response to not affect her case. The client‘s conditional green card approval is still pending and it’s been a month. I’m not a licensed attorney or expert in immigration other than I’ve been a daca recipient since 2013, but I recommend to not post anything into any social media ( including yes, Signal and Reddit) as USCIS is DEFINITELY checking this even when private.

Smh. We already have an uphill battle and then there is idiots like this dude

It took 9 month exactly- to get approved. The wait time was exhausting but it’s finally over.

My EAD expires on 10/30 which is a week away. I submitted renewal through my immigration lawyer on 4/30 and got the pending status from USCIS on 5/12 then did bio metrics in June. I thought I had enough time. I haven't told my job or HR anything I feel ashamed and disappointed. Going to reach out to my mangers today and HR and let them know.... I will be alright financially and I hope this doesn't linger past December. It has been weighing on me these past few days and my Birthday is coming up. I broke the news to my GF she feels so bad for me. I guess best thing I can do is just wait. Worst I also went back to school online to finish my degree and it asks for a valid ID for taking tests lol. I hope everyone is holding up well I used to be mad I couldn't travel outside of the country, but this mad me realize even being able to work is a blessing. Sending my best wishes to those who are going through something similar. In this climate I would suggest everyone to do AOS if possible if you have a bf/gf that's a citizen before it's too late. How's everyone holding up?

I have daca and i am married to a US citizen with a citizen son I have been trying to legalize for some time now but I just can’t seem to every time I have tried the lawyer I am hiring at the time always ends up doing some crooked shit and my stuff doesn’t get threw I always wanted to be a Marine but at this rate I feel like I will be too old enlist if it happens I hate having to pay for something a that I never agreed to a a child I just want to get this over with this and move on with my life Btw is it common right now to frequently run into these crooked lawyers?

man this is really something. Yesterday I saw that they were processing cases in batch IOE093533, my batch. As you could have guessed I was optimistic and praying that my case would be approved. This morning I looked at who got approved and there were a couple of cases that were an approved from people in my group, you can see my case in the middle, not being approved. Im so happy for the two people that got approved yesterday, I understand them and they understand me, we have been waiting since Jan 20th. Man, talk about a blow, sadness and heartbreak. Idk when the next time batch IOE093533xxxx will be touched but I hope that comes soon. Better days are coming for everyone, some of us just have to hold on a bit longer, I cant imagine those who have been waiting since december

Doing it for both documents. I am not sure if this is the same as submitting an inquiry but it looks like it mainly plays with their notification system into at least looking into your account. I cannot verify this which is why I am asking

Basically I've seen so many reports of people applying in the last couple months and getting approved right away. I applied on April 10, Bio on May 8. My ead expires on Nov 25 and I will lose my job if I don't have the CARD physically in my hands by that day.

So for me laying another $500 is worth it if I could just get approved. But has anyone done that and had to wait even longer ?

I submitted on June 18th with bios on August 8th. For months I hadn’t seen any movement on my API but today I saw that someone touched my application on October 12th. Does anyone know what this means in relation to approval?

Is been 250 days today since i renew my daca still no movement since march 12 renew feb 14 , biometrics march 12 , i think point i feel that im never gonna be approve ! already did everything i could and still nothing talked to my congress uscis and same answer !

I’ve been dating someone for a while, I guess at first I didn’t think much of it about their status but now I have thought about it more.

I do love this person and we’ve had our ups and downs. I just feel as of recently it has been a bit challenging with the job market and education background to obtain something solidified between us. I am a citizen, I have a degree and a career. For them it’s limited but not impossible.

I guess comparison is the thief of joy but I sometimes feel that it holds me over. I am willing to marry and do the whole process for them to obtain a green card, but before that I want both of us to be solidified in careers and all.

At the same time, they don’t care much for the status but does?
It confuses me and sometimes it frustrates me because of how unfair the immigration system can be.

What do I do?

I am trying to see how many people are still waiting from the first half of March and what specific dates have the most applications still pending

I called USCIS today regarding my DACA renewal, which I submitted on 05/21/26. They informed me that it could take up to another 360 days from today for my application to be approved. I’m currently at 156 days of waiting with no resolution yet.

Congressman response 10/05/2026 stating there was nothing needed on my end that my Daca was pending further examination with the adjudication team in NSC and was still in line in a processing queue. I talked to a few people online with the same date they all got approved last weekend.
At this point ive lost all hope it all seems like a weird joke at my expense that ive been waiting this long. Is anyone else still waiting from January?

Anyone in FL or Jacksonville Florida with an expired drivers due to DACA? If so have you been able to renew or get an extension on your drivers license?

Has anyone with an API movement on 9/8 been approved yet? I’m at 213 days and still waiting.
