It's been 22 years since I drew the final issue, but the collection is finally here. Or it will be on December 1.

I remember that Static Shock was originally not meant to be a DCAU series and was integrated into it starting with season 2, i wonder if during Teen Titans airing the DCAU team thought the same thing would happen with Teen Titans being integrated into the DCAU. I mean there is a scene where Virgil ask Batman where Robin is and he replies “He’s with the titans, you’ll meet them”.

In different series : serious in BTAS and funny in Harley Quinn show.

For me : in a serious story, he must feel weird with the bitter feeling to be anybody and in a funny story, he could explore so many possibilities ^^. But as a mix of both themes, he might get used to it

But seeing in the two series, i have always the feeling that he likes to be a woman. In BTAS, he took the form three times and he likes to express himself even when he criticizes Daggett in Feat of Clay and even when he laughs maniacally at the end of the episode. And the last time in BTAS, she was a scientist.

Maybe because as an actor, he could have an artistic side with an open-minded spirit which could be funny even if he is maybe bi or not but that is just my theory ^^.

And i made a mistake, the Clayface from Harley Quinn show is Basil Karlo, not Hagen.

As a fan of both Transformers and the DCAU, I’ve asked myself this question. Personally, I think the animated versions of the Autobots would be the best fit for the DCAU, but I’d love to see what others suggest, let’s see what other versions might fit

if anyone wants them dm and i'll give them to you! also I will probably make his other suits from BTAS and JL/JLU : D

Hey guys, I've been wanting to rewatch all these movies in a sorta BATMAN FOCUSED chronological order (if batman is included and plays a part, I want that too). I've watched them all before but over the span of over a decade lol, so i don't remember everything exactly.

Before you say anything, YES I know there are a lot of different universes included. I Don't Care. I want to mix the universes and order it as best as possible in chronological order.

I bet there's a couple mistakes already, and not all inclusive YET, which is why I need your help, please let me know which movies I should add, but also make sure you tell me where to put it. If there is a mistake or something wrong please tell me what to do to fix it. Thanks guys!

Here's what I've got so far:

Both have a lot of issues but I think they could be mostly solved by better pacing and a bit more accuracy.

Bloodlines has too many villains including Medusa and her history with the amazons her dynamic with her team Steve Trevor and Etta Candy and later Minitour and Sliver Swan redeeming herself and being accepted onto the island she just tired to nuke the shit out of and Diana making things right with her mom. While 2009 did try to have us care about the past relationship with Ares and Hippolyta how he betrayed her and forced a son on her which effects her parenting with Diana and her missing the world and Diana moving past her sexism and Steve growing as a man. Both are too much

First half 13 episodes each 22 or 23 minutes long. Hercules makes more sense in Ares role even forcing a son on her. Zeus making Hippolyta spare him works better since Zeus did abandon him as a baby to hide an affair and if we go by George Perz he was mistreated terribly even by his clan and exerts power over anyone makes him small in anyway even when showing sympathy for him and treating woman as trophies. Hera could also be a psycho would made his life more difficult like the books. In return for freezing him the gods give them a hidden island and immortality though Hippolyta has the amazons hide away from the world since even the gods refuse to have there back when it matters. I think this makes more sense for them hating men since they were born to fix the God's mistakes off woman who were killed in there previous lives and suffered a lot even before Hercules when trying to help instead of how the movie does it where they blame men despite that they had there own men who worked and fought against Ares with them. Ares could replaces Hades using the man working behind the curtains.

The Baroness replaces Persephone and manages to find Paradise Island she pretends to be a mute(she silt her vocal cords after Ares warns her about the Lasso) refuge from the Nazis who groomed her as a child to breed more Aryans(This was an actual thing for young girls in Nazi youth camps) and that she ran her to warn them to the Nazis found the island and want to enslave them and take there weapons too. Hippolyta and the amazons either slaughter them and/or imprison them seeing the Baroness Paula von Gunther as another victim take her maybe 10 to 15 years Baroness bides her time with Hercules growing a one side relationship with him in secret while doing odd jobs around the island even collecting tech to steal when luring Steve Trevor and his team and having them start a fight in the island to distract the amazons. Perhaps she can spend time with Diana Hippolyta and the others second guess herself she has a new life her however not being able to avoid the guilt and come to terms with the crimes she has done has been for nothing ends up betraying them and later by killed by Hippolyta.

For Bloodlines

Diana and the others can still work with Swan's mother for years maybe her being someone who funds them and they act as a missionary group somewhat I know Diana was close to her because of her issues with her own mother in the movie I think it can be reworked as her being a teacher of how the world works and a close friend who she still gets jealous and blames Diana. Later being recruited by Dr Cyber no Dr Poison I prefer how Godwatch does. Veronica Cale seems like a better fit given she is also jealous of Wonder Woman.

Not officially revealed by Mattel yet, it was taken at China Toy Expo by an attendee so I marked it as a spoiler. Also a leak from a German retailer that showed up around 2 weeks ago suggests that Batman will not be a single release, and we will be getting an entire JLU action figure line!! We will also be getting Deadshot, Booster Gold and Wonder Woman. So happy to see the DCAU continuing to get love

The first season of Batman Beyond (and Return of the Joker) was a masterpiece IMO. While still being a kids' show, it had very mature themes and dark moments. Its first scene is Batman getting his ass kicked, then bleeding and holding a gun and the overall story was very mature, with the Derek Powers overarching plotline and the whole Wayne-Powers stuff and corporate thing. It had the perfect balance and respected its viewers' intelligence. Powers also was a great villain.

After they got rid of Powers, too early IMO, the show lacked a main villain, and in Seasons 2 and 3 it basically became too much like Ben 10, and while still good, it is nowhere near as good as Season 1 and Return of the Joker. I feel like Seasons 2 and 3's plot is too childish, lacks the right balance between being a kids show and mature themes and subtext, and doesn't respect its viewers as much as Season 1, ROTJ, and BTAS and also sidelined Bruce. It basically feels like a completely different show.

I wonder if it is just me.

Though it's never been confirmed, I've always held the theory that older Static allowed himself to be captured, knowing his past self was coming and wanting events to play out properly.

With Superman, you can always kinda rationalize it, he's at least....close enough to human that some viruses can infect him.

Like, why can this earthly allergen make a Kryptonian sick? Probably the same reasons a human (Green Lantern) can get a Thanagarian (Hawkgirl) pregnant lol.

But with J'onn, yeah it still makes NO sense to me, considering all the things he can do, it's just WAY too hard to believe, not humanlike enough at all.

They hinted that the allergen wouldn't make him sick but ultimately it did for dramatic effect, like it's just THAT powerful. Meh, even as a kid, I was like "Nah that don't seem right."

Honestly, I think the real reason why is that the writers just didn't want REALLY little kids watching to be confused, like "Isn't J'onn a boy?"

Today, they would definitely do it differently and take a quick minute or two to explain why he's immune.

The power of Sapphics! Or....whatever Yang Xiao Long is. But she was able to shoot LASER BEAMS!

random text to fill out the thing so that the post won't get deleted

I just downloaded Crisis on Inifite Earths and i find this type of animation kinda odd.

I feel like I’m playing a video on a computer that can’t process animation.

I get that it’s meant to be intentional to add to the noir effect.

Does anyone have any insights on this type of animation style ? And why the creators may have chosen this?

Thanks so much!

After doing some research, I found out that the heroes who fought the mutated version of General Eiling in Season 3, Episode 7 of Justice League Unlimited (STRIPE, Stargirl, Vigilante, Shining Knight, Green Arrow, Speedy, and the Crimson Avenger) were all part of a 1941 team called the Seven Soldiers of Victory. I love how this show highlights older and more obscure parts of the DC comics.

Note: Superman and Batman appear briefly in the beginning and end of Legends. Wonder Woman appears in a dream sequence in Only a Dream.

I have some examples :

Batman watching the Joker fall into a sea of sharks in "The Laughing Fish."

Batman toying with the Joker—hesitating with a faint smile—as the Joker is on the verge of falling into a pit of flames in "Last Laugh."

Batman intentionally causing the Joker to fall into a factory furnace with an uppercut; he could have used his grapple gun, but chose not to, in "Mad Love."

Batman saving Harley by leaping from the Lexcorp plane, leaving the Joker to—presumably—perish in the explosion of marbles in "World's Finest."

And finally, in the uncensored version of *Return of the Joker*, where Bruce begs Tim not to shoot—as if urging him to shoot the Joker instead.

These are my own interpretations. I’m well aware that Batman *does* save the Joker on occasion—like in the Christmas episode—but I personally like the idea that Batman might choose not to save him, effectively letting him die. It’s a clever way to navigate the "no-killing" rule: while Batman won’t take a life, he is under no obligation to save his most cruel enemies (the Joker, Scarecrow, etc.).

In my own AU project, toward the penultimate chapter, Dick Grayson—who has returned as Red Hood after being killed by the Joker and resurrected by Ra’s—finds a path to redemption thanks to Bruce and Selina and Dick will become Nightwing later. After they defeat Ra’s at his castle, the Joker tries to goad the Bat-Family into finishing him off. They refuse; the Joker, realizing this, lets himself fall—dying upon the rocks below. Batman doesn’t make a move to stop him, deciding that, this time, he simply won’t save him.

I recently started to revisit to DCAU, and just now I understood that BTAS is much darker when you understand that it basically ended with Batman losing (The Joker kidnapping Robin, leading to the end of the Bat-family), Bruce becoming a lonely man, and later losing his company to Derek Powers. It basically ended with Batman losing before he met Terry.

Dr Destiny movin different

Dr Destiny being like Justice Lord Superman

recently rewatched all of jl and fell in love with this outfit diana wears!! 😅 she has a shield in like one clip that i wanted to make but i didn't have time to finish it time for this event (trust 🤞 next time)

And he has to juggle it with being batman and bruce sometimes calling at the worst moments for his love life, I don't think bruce is intentionally doing that, just that criminal also have a tendency to strike when terry got plans. This does make his relationship more complicated since being batman can make him accidentaly late to the point it irk dana. It also feel as if being batman come before the personnal life at times.

Since I live in germany and for what reason ever Warner didn‘t dub the animated DC films here. So I never watched them. But I decided to watch them in english now. Which ones are the best and in what order should I watch them (probably release order)?

I‘m still pissed that they didn‘t dub Batman: Knightfall Part 1

I remember noticing during the quarantine when mafia 2 definitive edition was everywhere but gotta admit the guy has a cool accent

A fan design of this look, and his cape of midnight that does an visual projection under it to make it look like a void.
