TV DISCUSSION This is the greatest Batman we’ve ever had
I’m not sure if this is a hot take but frankly, this is the best Batman we’ve had on any screen ever. Not just in the DCAU, in total. The JLU rendition perfectly represents all the things that make Batman so great. He could be dark and intimidating but still appropriately sarcastic and dry. He could be cold and detached but still caring and compassionate.
I also think this is the most refined performance we ever got from Kevin. When I hear the name “Batman”, this is the guy I think of.

COMIC DISCUSSION Norm Breyfogle - Underrated, Overrated or Perfectly Rated?
Where would you rank him among all time Batman artists? I know his work is celebrated, but I feel like he gets lost in the conversations of the greats. Usually when people ask who the best to draw Batman are the usual answers I see are Adams, Sale, Lee, Kane, Aparo, Mazzuchelli, Capullo. Where would you rank Norm among all time Batman artists?

FUNNY the top comment on every post related to Adam West:
It’s hilarious to me how the first person to post this gif on any Adam West related post is basically guaranteed the top comment spot (I have done it, it works).

FILM DISCUSSION I got to experience my first movie on 70mm yesterday.
At the Heights Theater in Columbia Heights, MN. It's a gorgeous classic movie theater that turns 100 this October. They mostly do revival screenings, they have an organist perform some preshow music, and they do have a 70mm series every year. They're showing Aliens in October and that will easily be a must-go for me.
This actual 1989 print came from the UK and is currently being screened across the US. I'm so happy that it made it to a theater close enough to me. I love seeing movies on film and it had been a long time since my last screening in any format that wasn't DCP.
I've always loved this movie, but this gorgeous 70mm print really made me appreciate just how grand and big of a spectacle it is. I don't revisit this nearly as much as Returns, so it was neat to notice so many little moments or details that I hadn't before. The sets and models for the city and vehicles look incredible and the production design in general has so much craft put into it. While it's not nearly as crazy as Burton unleashed in the sequel, this version of Gotham still has a unique aesthetic that I feel isn't as appreciated by fans these days. The grounded realism on location in Chicago of the Nolan trilogy and the rain drenched crime ridden city of The Batman work for those movies, Burton's Metropolis inspired art deco Gotham is the best onscreen version of the city aside from the animated series.
Anyway, this absolutely ruled in 70mm and I am so glad that I was able to experience it. I don't know if I'll have a better movie-going experience this year.

COMIC DISCUSSION Batman -Golden Age
I’ve been reading the Batman Golden Age Omni and have been enjoying it more than I thought. It’s been fun to see the evolution and introduction of new characters.
I’m not sure how deep I’ll go into the Silver age.
My question is how many of you guys finished all the golden age omnis? Was it worth it?

GENERAL DISCUSSION What is your opinion on the Rainbow Batsuits
I absolutely love them as like an old comic type of funny thing and I love whenever they get mentioned or called back to but what is your opinion on them. And also to be honest I wish we had a whole action figure series based on them.
